I am so thrilled I cancelled. There’s not one thing in that box I would ever use.

Do you think they are trying to kill off US Glossy Box? European one is so much cheaper with better looking products. I never received Glossy, but I have looked into it a few times. Not impressed, so I went with a year of Look Fantastic that bills monthly. Happy with that subscription. Maybe they would rather have US Glossy customers switch to that.

Cancelled too late as well…..and got this mess of a box. So disappointed. The pretty pink box is the only thing I liked! I kept looking around in the box for the “good” item….no such luck.

I’m actually happy with this box, it is my fav cleanser, love the hair clip (something new) and none of my boxes send nail polish. I also go through tons of conditioner. Would I pay $21 no but happy for what I’m paying.

Yeah, I’ve been UNsubscribing right and left and Glossy looks like the next to go. Damn. It’s always been a favorite too.

What a box of mediocre, yes IT IS a target box. I bought in after 2 years of discontinuing, due to the 25% discount earlier.

I’m missing May’s box (my b-month) and now this lovely box of products that I wouldn’t grab if they were set-out for free.

Nothing I want to ‘sample’ in this box, these are tired, 2nd rate products that are neither new products nor premium. The HASK page for the conditioners provides the choice to purchase these at, Ulta, Walmart and HEB…

This box generates less serotonin than a McDouble and that sets me back $1.39…

More skincare please glossybox…

Becky, yes I DO remember that full size, luxe eye serum in the beautiful blue glass bottle! Wow, who knew, those were the good old days, lol. * “Memories” starts playing in the background. *

The only thing that made Glossybox worthwhile is that I got 25% off the 3-month subscription. I Signed up for the 3 months not remembering what made me cancel it the first time. After the first box, I remembered! Oh well, at least it worked out to $14 and box instead of $22! I won’t be resubscribing. I am jumping into the world of K Beauty with Beautique and a Sooni Mask box. Of course, Allure is a great deal for $15 a box, $7 less a box than Glossybox and more worth it with better products in my opinion! Even the $10 Ipsy is better than this box.

Hope you enjoy Beauteque Monthly! It’s one of my fave boxes as it has everything!

What a dud. I cancelled one day too late so I’ll unfortunately be getting this waste of $.

I’ve neen weaning myself off of subscription boxes, because if product overload and a decreased income. This box is very disappointing, so I’m going to have to cancel. There has not been enough value to justify keeping it.

I did the same thing. I kept Ipsy, Allure, and Sephora.

No more Sleek products, please. I will never re-subscribe as long as they keep putting cheap, made in China makeup in the box.

Way back when, the pretty box was a sweet bonus.
Now it’s just a pretty box. 😕

I also took advantage of a holiday deal and purchased a 6 month sub that started in January and came out to be around $14 a box. At first I enjoyed all the boxes but lately the items have not had the wow factor that the early boxes did. May’s sub only had a value of $50 and I didn’t like anything in it either. I’m definitely not renewing and like others said, have only enjoyed the LE boxes. Maybe they need to reformat to a quarterly box as well.

Daria

Well at least they still provide the nice packaging.

I did the 3 month get one free box but everything is so small so I cancelled before the next renewal and now I’m waiting to see if they actually send me the 4th free like it said when I got the sub.

I do think the $21.00 price point for Glossybox is a bit steep, considering they do often include many sample sized items. However, if you take advantage of their special offers (in particularly the Black Friday sale, which was 25% off the multiple months subscriptions), the price is much more reasonable. I purchased a yearly sub at 25% off. Each box is around the $14.00 range. I’m happy with the items in each month’s box, as that price point. I will use and enjoy pretty much all of the items in this box, except the Invisibobble (it won’t go to waste though… I’ll just gift it to somebody).

I signed up for an annual subscription last October, and really regret it. This is just not great at all.

I am not the least bit sorry I canceled. Not a single thing in this box appeals to me.

I like the European box more than Glossy.. so I don’t totally blame that. This box has been in a steep decline for years.. sample sizes and blah boring products. No thanks Glossy

I agree with every single point made in the various posts below…the poor value, the frequent inclusion of lower-end brands, the small sample sizes, etc.

But I also agree the limited addition boxes are often pretty nice.

Looking at this box, the value just isn’t quite there, especially next to beauty fix or boxycharm. I tried to roughly estimate the value of this (some sizes aren’t clear though so it really is a guess):

$4 Unwined by Hask Brut Rose Inspired Deep Conditioner
$4 Unwined by Hask Provence Rose Inspired Deep Conditioner
$2.33 Invisibobble Waver (this appears to be just 1, 3 sell for $7)
$12 Morgan Taylor Nail Polish
~$16 Omorovicza Cleansing Foam (I have no idea how large this is, I’m guessing 10 ml, but that’s a complete guess)
$13 Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow Palette
$4.50 EH Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask (looks like 5 ml, Selfridges sells 50ml for $44.50)

So that puts the value at roughly $56. It’s not terrible, but not great compared to the value of other beauty sub boxes. And as others have mentioned, cleanser is rarely “prized”. Same with nail polish. Something about this box just seems a little cheap.

I can’t imagine their subscriber base is even close to the size that it once was. The decline in this box is so noticeable, yet they don’t seem to even be trying to turn things around. Oh well.

Looks like the clay mask is 15 ml and the cleanser is 1 ounce based on the pictures

I agree, this is not the original Glossybox. Only the name and the box design remains from what I used to love and look so forward to getting for years.

The ruination is the European corporation which owns this and Look Fantastic. They don’t differentiate between drug store items and luxury beauty items EXCEPT for their apparent special relationship with Omorovicza. No one else ever sources ” Hungary’s beauty secret” for boxes ( except sister Euro box Look Fantastic) as far as I know.

Hint- Cleanser is the cheapest of all skin care except toners, and this one is NOT great.

Also, went to Invisibobble site and that thing is a hair CLIP, not some sort of wave maker… whereas regular Invisibobbles can actually encourage natural waves to stay in when hair is air drying.

Oh, Glossy, how I miss the truly great years!

Becky

I just realized it’s only one clip, that is so useless. They could have at least included two. This is so awful.

Me too! I remember years ago when I first started my sub box journey Glossybox was one of my first and best boxes. It’s changed so much that I had to unsubscribe a year or so ago and haven’t been tempted to come back. I do still enjoy their LE boxes and order almost every one they offer.
