Girl-a-Tude Box June 2019 "Fierce and Fabulous" Review

Included in our box was a note for my four-year-old daughter from G-Girl that described our theme of "Fierce and Fabulous." These notes are always so cute and I love how Girl-a-Tude encourages your girl to be herself and be bold and extraordinary!

"Be Fierce and Fabulous" T-shirt

The t-shirts always come wrapped up separately, which makes it fun to open. I like this month's green and gold design, although the gold is a bit hard to see against the green. It is a nice shiny, metallic gold though, so my daughter really enjoyed that aspect! I think this is a cute shirt with a fun message, although this probably wasn't her favorite design that we've received so far.

This is a size Youth Small (6-8) and she usually wears a 6x so the shirts are a bit big on her, but they are soft and comfortable and the quality of the shirts we have received so far have all been nice and held up to washing.

Gold Cinch Bag

The next item we received this month is this gold cinch bag. My daughter was excited by it, again, mostly for the color and I like that it is really light and easy for her to carry making it a great option for bringing some things with her in the car as opposed to her larger backpacks. It is made of polyester and is a single layer with a nice large zipper pocket on the front. It's definitely not super high quality, you can see in the last photo the zipper pull actually stained our bag a bit, but it does seem like it will hold up to a good amount of use!

You can see she's excited about her new bag! I do wish they had chosen to personalize this item though because that would have really put it over the top! Even just a sticker decal might have worked!

Be Fierce Koozie

This next item gave me pause when I first saw it, but thankfully they referred to it as a water bottle koozie in their note! My daughter has seen these at various get-togethers and likes to use them on her water bottles, so it's fun that she has her own exclusively designed koozie to use now. Again though, how cool would this have been as a personalized item? I'm sure it's probably easier said than done though! I thought this was a good summer item and definitely not something I would have expected.

Verdict: This month's Girl-a-Tude box had a great theme of being fierce and fabulous, but compared to last month, it just didn't have that wow factor as the other box did. My daughter still enjoyed the items, although the t-shirt design wasn't her favorite this month, which is completely subjective and due to personal taste. This box costs $23.51 ($17.99 + $5.52 shipping to MD) which means each of the three items has an average value of $7.84. I think that's probably a little high for the koozie, but fair for the bag and the t-shirt. I'm still pretty happy with our box because I do appreciate the positive message and I think there is added value in the fact that two of the items were exclusively designed for this box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You will most likely receive the July box. From Girl-a-Tude:

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
