Now, time for the items! For the formatting of this review, I’m going to show you EVERY item FabFitFun featured this season. I’ll show you the item I picked first, then all the other options. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream & Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel Set – Total Retail Value $45

This is the item I picked for this round. I love the sweet Pistachio and Salted Caramel scent of the Bum Bum cream (it’s super moisturizing and fast-absorbing, too), and I hadn’t tried the shower gel yet, so this option was made for me. The shower gel has the same addicting scent, and it’s creamy and moisturizing. The scent from the shower gel lingered throughout the day, but it’s not as strong as the Bum Bum cream scent.

And self-tanner + Bum Bum cream = the best my legs are going to look, so I’m happy to have a new jar for summer!

Sutra Professional Marble Mini Travel Blow Dryer – Retail Value $60

This hair dryer has 2 speed/heat options, a diffuser nozzle, a concentrator nozzle, and a 1000W motor. It’s super lightweight and mini, so it won’t take up much space or add much weight to your suitcase. And the marble finish is super chic, too.

Vix Paula Hermany Lotus Towel – Retail Value $50

This beach towel is 100% polyester and measures about 59 inches across. It’s lightweight, so should be good to throw in your beach bag/suitcase. And an MSA reader suggesting using it for outdoor concerts – such a good idea!

Spiritual Gangster Robe Jacket – $60 Retail Value

This robe jacket is lightweight, so it works well as an actual robe for Summer, as a swimsuit cover-up, or a jacket. It has a collar that detaches at the torso to work as a wrap belt if you want to tie the wrap closed, too. The fabric is 100% Rayon. Machine Wash Cold, Line Dry.

I’m impressed with the quality of the construction, and I’m someone who always is cold even in Summer weather, so this is a great alternative to the typical cardigan or jean jacket I wear.

West Elm Indigo Tie Dye Bowls (Set of 3) – Retail Value $39

I LOVE getting home items in subscription boxes, and West Elm is one of my favorite home brands, so this was a no-brainer pick for me! These nesting bowls are ceramic with a glaze finish, and the best part? They are dishwasher and microwave safe!

111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask (Set of 5) – Retail Value $160

111Skin is a luxe skincare brand that I’ve sampled before thanks to subscription boxes, and my skin loves it. This mask is designed to brighten, soothe, and hydrate skin. You wear it for 20 minutes, then remove and let any excess product absorb.

When I first put on the mask, I noticed there was plenty of excess serum still in the package, so I applied that to my neck, hands, etc – at $32 a mask, I’m not letting a drop go to waste! True to the claim, the mask was super hydrating, and I applied my foundation after and felt like my skin was glowing the entire day. The only thing I didn’t love was the rose scent (that’s just a personal preference). The best part? I don’t think my skin has ever felt this soft before.

Summer & Rose Navy Diamond Tote – Retail Value $50

This tote is lined and includes one open pocket and a snap closure. The fabric is 100% cotton printed canvas with robe handles – very beachy! Plus the canvas fabric + the flat base makes this bag pretty sturdy – it can stand up on its own when you are packing it full of beach/pool items!

XO, Sienna Black Felt Letter Board – Retail Value $35

I thought this was a fun inclusion (and I was impressed with the quality of the construction, too.) In addition to standard letters and numbers, this kit comes with emojis, too! And the pine frame has a hanging mount on the back.

Odeme What A Pair Set of 2 Silicone Wine Glasses – Retail Value $25

I picked these because I love the pale pink color and the fact that these are dishwasher safe! The bag is great, too. They are perfect for adding to a beach bag, picnic basket, anywhere else where you can’t bring a wine glass. (And while they hold their shape well, you can squeeze them if you need to pack them into the smallest of bags!)

Delicate gold jewelry is my favorite kind of jewelry, so I’ve already worn this piece a few times! It’s stainless steel plated in yellow gold. (I’m wearing it here in the shortest setting.)

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream – Retail Value $28

If Living Proof is an option, I’m probably going to pick it every single time. This is my all-time favorite hair-care brand. It’s ingredient conscious, the formulas work really well, and I love every single scent they make.

This styling cream is great for adding softness/removing frizz without weighing down my hair. And again, I’m obsessed with the scent. Even if this product didn’t do anything for my hair, I’d still use it as hair perfume!

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner – Retail Value $22

I’ve sampled this eyeliner several times over the years thanks to subscription boxes, and the felt tip marker makes it super easy to apply a straight line. The pigment is excellent, too – it’s a solid eyeliner.

Coola Organic SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray – Retail Value $36

I really love COOLA sunscreen (they have ingredient-conscious formulas, and their scented sunscreens smell like delicious tropical cocktails), so I had to go with this setting spray. It gets mixed reviews on Sephora, but it works so well for me. Getting extra SPF + a setting spray in one is great, and I love this for light makeup days, too – it’s so easy to apply. (Just make sure your eyes are fully shut and don’t breathe in when spraying.)

In addition to setting your makeup, and giving you SPF 30, it also provides a matte finish. The mattifying effect didn’t last all day with me, but it definitely reduced shine, and this is the type of product I expect to reapply a few times throughout the day, too.

Doctor Rogers Restore Healing Balm – Retail Value $30

This is a small tube, but it’s a very rich ointment so a little goes a long way. It’s an all-natural, unscented multi-purpose balm that can be used for lips, cuticles, cuts, burns, sensitive skin, severly dry skin, post-procedure skin, etc. It’s on par with other balms/ointments I’ve used in the past, and a great beauty toolkit item.

Intelligent Nutrients Refining Micro Polish – Retail Value $57

This brand is new to me, and it’s another ingredient-conscious find! The microbeads are plant-based, so they are good for your skin and for the ocean. (Micro jojoba beads also don’t create the micro tears in skin that harsh or artificial exfoliants can cause.)

The formula is creamy and gentle enough to use every day, too. I don’t usually think of the word “nourishing” when it comes to face cleansers, but it immediately comes to mind with this micro polish. (And that feeling plus the scent gives me luxe spa vibes!)

Invisibobble Original Duo Pack – Retail Value $16

I’ve tried a lot of different hair ties over the years thanks to subscription boxes, and the Invisibobble design is my favorite. It’s the only hair tie that doesn’t budge at all for the entire day. (I usually have to redo a bun or ponytail a few times a day to keep it looking right, but with Invisibobble, my hair stays perfectly in place.)

And the spiral design leaves my hair virtually creaseless, too.

Whish Exfoliating Foot Mask – Retail Value $32

When I saw “exfoliating” I assumed this was a foot scrub product I’d be using in the shower, but this isn’t a scrub – it’s a formula you use on dry feet:

Use ideally at bedtime. Apply liberally to the desired area and let dry. Go to bed and awake with softer feet. Rinse after 8 – 12 hours.

I followed the instructions and found that my feet didn’t completely dry immediately and felt a little tacky, so I put on some socks to help. Then when I woke up, I rinsed off my feet (I couldn’t feel any product on my feet at this point), but I did notice that my feet were softer! This difference was not Baby Foot softer, but it was noticeable, and Baby Foot is more of a process, so I really like this mask as a weekly foot treatment. (And it’s ingredient conscious!)

Grace & Stella Rose Facial Spray – Retail Value $25.95

Another ingredient conscious item! This spray mister is fine enough that you can use it over makeup. It’s a nice hydrating boost throughout the day, and the size is great (over 8 ounces) so it should last me the whole summer. The only con for me is that I don’t love rose scents, but it fades almost instantly, so not a deal-breaker!

Generation Clay Brightening Purple Clay Mask – Retail Value $39

This mask is designed to brighten skin, deep clean and purge skin of impurities, fight acne-causing bacteria, and soothe skin and reduce redness!

You apply a layer to clean skin, then let it dry for about 10 minutes before you remove with water. It tightens while it dries, too. (If you are like me, and love when you get a signal from a beauty product that it is “working” then you will love how much this tightens!)

After removing, I could immediately tell a difference in my skin – it felt softer and smoother. And of course, all that tightening clay took care of oiliness, too!


Verdict: This box has a value of $269.95-$467.95 depending on which items you pick! I think that’s amazing for $49.99! And it works out to just $5.55 an item. No surprise, I loved this box. So many brands I love, and being able to pick so many items is such a great perk. (I could see if you don’t want lots of beauty products, this box might not be perfect for you, though.)

  2. LOVED this box! I’m in the uk and I love that I could prepay vat to avoid post office charges ♡♡♡ I was sad about my mystery item, I got a primer after I put in my survey that I really don’t like makeup. I ended up gifting that to my drag king sister who needs a ton of primer, and the foot masks to my mum. I also sold the rose spray and invisibobbles on Ebay for a combined total of £12.98 (not including shipping) so that brought the cost of my box including shipping and tax down from £50 to £37. Really chuffed with the value!

  3. For the mystery item I got Marula hand cream and it smells HORRIBLE. Way to strong and it’s not even a nice scent at all. I guess it’s a floral scent maybe? I had to wash it off right away! 👎🏼

  4. Got my box today, and it came with the kimono. You mentioned that the collar is detachable, but I don’t see that on mine. The collar becomes the tie belt which hits me right below my chest, so I can’t really use it as a robe and not really sure how I would wear this other than maybe a bathing suit cover up. If I wanted to wear it as an open jacked the tie belt just hangs down and looks odd. Am I missing something?

    • So I thought the same thing and so did someone on another board after reading this review. It was just worded poorly. Nothing is detachable which would mean it literally comes off. It was an odd word choice. Maybe she meant it is partially detached? Anyway nothing comes off, it is simply not attached all the way down and the part that is not fully attached can be used as a tie/belt. But that part is ALWAYS that way not “detachable”. On other forums people have specifically cleared up the confusion caused by this review. Hope that helps.

  7. I wish that we still had a forum where we could discuss boxes and items and all that good stuff. 🙁 Anyway, I used one of the 111Skin masks a couple nights ago. I didn’t really like the way it felt in my hands, and little pieces of it were ripping off as I tried to adjust it. As I sat there relaxing with it on, I thought, “What am I doing? I could go get a facial for $75 and this mask is $32 and how could I possibly think that this mask is going to give that much benefit?” Well, lo and behold, the next day my skin was super soft and hydrated! So I do think the product works well (still not the same as a facial, obviously), even if it was a little messy to work with.

    • Omg same! I wanted to hate it. I wanted to be able to say see there is no way this any better than ones 1/5 of the price. But darn it. It is! I used it alone and it was noticeably more hydrated but when I used it after my pmd from this box as well and my face was as good if not better than any facial I’ve paid for. Highly recommend both products.

  8. I am one of the 856 Annuals who had their orders misplaced it is 6/24 and shipping states date pending. I was informed that I will not be getting the 5 items I wanted most b/c they are now OOS. New subs got the same items a month ago b/c they fulfilled their orders with items that should have been in our boxes. I had 2 tracking notifications for 6/20 and 6/24– each yielded No box. As of tommorow, they are shutting down the warehouse and NO orders will ship until July 9th. I will probably get my box sometime in the next week. They are in violation of the FTC’s 30-day rule which states the item has to be in the hand of the carrier physically. Instead, they created shady labels for boxes that never left the warehouse and left subs wondering where their boxes are. Needless to say many are angry. It’s a great subscription if you are new or seasonal/ but for annuals, it’s been terrible since spring. They have saturated the media with gifts and offers. but forgot about there annuals and can not keep up with their growth

    • As a new subscriber, I’m sorry. I truly am. I was going to sign up in December but didn’t finish setting up my account. So when I saw the spring box for $10 + Mystery Bundle worth $125, I went for it. But I could not use the code because I had an existing account set up and those promos are for new subscribers. I did argue the fact that I am a new subscriber, I have never received a box or placed an order. CSR was rude and wrote back that fine, I will let you have the Bundle but that’s it. Then he ghosted me. By the time I got another CSR to respond to an email, my payment had already cleared the bank. So I get $10 off my next box? Not sure I want it after this and how the contents of my box arrived. That’s right! I’m new and I’ve had my box for 2 weeks. The hairdryer had been used and is missing the attachments. The invisibobble box is smashed to pieces, every single items box looks like whoever packaged my box gave each box a good hard squeeze. No joke! Even the items in the Mystery Bundle. I got some weird belt and it doesn’t even have a package or even a tag on it. Another MSA subscriber posted the number somewhere so I did call them. I requested a replacement for the hairdryer and 2 items I didn’t really want but wanted to swap but can’t because of the condition. It did not seem to matter what I said, the person on the phone could barely speak or understand English. Even though I asked to speak to someone else, she just kept putting me on hold, then back on the line to ask me the same questions over and over… After 28 minutes on the phone, I finally said,” I have spent $25 worth of my time on the phone with you trying to get damaged items replaced and I am out of time and and patience, I expect replacement items sent out within 2 weeks just like my email shows and states or I will be reporting this to the BBB and I will make a trip to the bank as well, so after trying to communicate with you for 30 minutes, goodbye. I’ve noticed that MSA and Influenster type people don’t get ruined items. I’ve been subscribed to Allure for 3 years??? Not once have they ever sent me anything extra for being a loyal subscriber. The only thing I’ve gotten from them is replacement items and even those are never right. So, thought I would try this sub…
      I had not heard anything from FFF, so I sent an email. I have sent an email every single day with no response until yesterday. Apparently, they have sent me an entirely new box including the Bundle and supposedly, it is supposed to be an exact replica of the one I originally received. Hairdryer, wine glasses, blue bowls, Whish foot exfoliation, Coola spray, living Proof, rose spray, clay mask, invisibobble.
      As a new subscriber, I’m not at all happy will fff. If I were you, I would be furious.
      I read how new subscribers of allure get all this great stuff and I’ve never gotten anything much less the right items or replacements. New subscribers should come last!

  9. I’ve been wanting to LOVE this box but I still haven’t received it and I ordered it April 20th!!! I was supposed to get the spring box and after one month of no box I contacted them and they said they had ran out. I was not very happy especially since they charged me for it and didn’t even contact me about the issue. So they said they would send me a replacement Spring editor box. Two weeks later no shipping info, I emailed them and *crickets*. Just called them today…they are out of the box. Now they are supposedly sending me a Summer box, but well I just don’t believe it! Every person I have talked with through customer care has been super friendly, sweet and apologetic but I just want what I ordered! This box looks amazing but it’s starting to feel like a scam to me.

  10. I wore the Jennifer Zeuner Star Double Necklace today and within 2 hours of wearing it, it broke. I threw it in the trash. I think the price for this is way too much at $50. It looks more like an item you’d find in a place like Claire’s for $5. It is not something that I would have purchased. Disappointed in the quality.

  12. I subscribed for the first time only like two days ago and my box got here today!! I got the mystery item, but mine was “Grown Alchemist Hand Cream – Vanilla Orange Peel”. I was really hoping for the Coola Setting Spray, but at least I’ve been able to trade for one on here so far 🙂

  14. I activated my FFF subscription today after getting the starter box. I got that starter box for $5 which was valued at $218! I got the year subscription so I could pick all my items and basically paid for that with the Skin 111 face masks that are worth $160 & then I also got a Tarte Bundle with it for free! Insane!

    My box:
    -Bum bum (never tried & super excited! Hope it helps my KP)
    -111 skin (because $160 :0 also I could use some moisture in my skin)

  16. I have been an annual subscriber for three years and haven’t received my box or shipping info. I received two apology emails from FFF over the weekend claiming that I am a priority as an annual subscriber and they’re so sorry that my box wasn’t shipped earlier but they’ll have it shipped out on 6/22.

    Then today, I received another email that they’re so sorry for the inconvenience but one of my add-ons is sold out, but no worries, they’ll refund my money in 5-7 business days. How is this add-on sold out when I was charged for it on 5/17? I already paid for it! This is the second add-on this season that suddenly was “sold out” after being in my cart from Day 1. The same thing happened with the Spring add-ons.

    If I could cancel my annual subscription, I would. I can spend my money elsewhere.

    • I sent an angry email to FFF and a few hours later received a reply to the effect of “We made an error! More units of that item recently became available! You’ll be receiving that out-of-stock item after all!” Sure, FFF. 😒

This FFF box was not the best , however I can’t complain for $39.99 after coupon I liked the tote , and the bum bum set , the necklace and the coola setting spray 🙂 I could of done without some other things . IMO I like the fall and winter FFF boxes better – but still not complaining for $39.99 !

  25. I received my 4 boxes and add on’s was perfect. Since the additional customizations were 15$ it made sense to just get additional boxes. After reading the horror stories about bugs and spills in boxes I was so worried that I unboxed/ inspected everything outside. The mystery item in all boxes was the Grown Alchemist vanilla orange peel hand cream. This box was an amazing deal and hope everyone is pleased when it arrives.

  26. I received my box this morning. I got everything I added on and customization was right. 🙂 I’ve never had any problems before but I was starting to worry since some members are having problems. My mystery item was a nice surprise though. Some kind of cooling and calming rub for your temples. Since I’m prone to chronic headaches, it was a blessing. Tried it and it’s very nice. 🙂

  31. Well on the option of the living proof anti frizz cream or the eyeliner I seemed to have not received either. I received a tony bottle of some peppermint temple rub stuff that is not in the magazine or anything. I have no idea what it is and was not even an option. I’m kinda upset about it cause I was really looking forward to the frizz cream or eyeliner and got neither

I am guessing that was my mystery item? I got a blow dryer in my Boxycharm also.. I may just pass both of those on to my nieces or something.

    • One belt loop on Below the Belt – Go look at FabFitFun – Below the belt. They have about five different ways to wear it.

  34. My 1st ever Fabfitfun box arrived yesterday and I was SO thrilled! Until I opened it… it came inside another box and my welcome Mystery Bundle was simply thrown in with one small piece of packing paper. The essential oils are fine but the belt was not even in a plastic wrapper, and the Whish sleeping mask, the box looks like someone squished it in their hand or something and the lid was not screwed on straight or all the way. Not a very good 1st impression. Then I open the actual FFF box and got even more surprises! The Whish and the Coola boxes we crumpled & the hair tie box was broken to the point one of the ties wasn’t in the box anymore. I stopped and took photos of everything at each step. Then I sent an email. After I got the auto reply email, I attached the photos to that. My picks were the wine glasses, bowls and hairdryer. The hairdryer was the main selling point for me to finally sign up as I do have to travel some and hotel hairdryers suck. I decided to wash my hair and try it out. I open the box and the hairdryer is outside the bubble wrap, the twist tie on the cord had been undone and then redone quite obviously. The papers and bubble wrap were scrunched into a ball at the bottom of the box and both attachments were nowhere to be found! This looks like someone’s return. Thankfully, JennyO answered a comment and posted the number for FFF. I did call and the CSR I got was very nice but extremely hard to understand and I’m very good with understanding heavy accents. I actually had to repeat every single thing I said at least 3 times. FFF was a pain when I tried to sign up the 1st time in ‘18, so I guess I should’ve expected as much this time too. They did not want to honor the $10.00 off & free Bundle. So I said fine, cancel my order. Response, ok, my supervisor said you can have the Bundle. I asked about the $10 off my 1st box. No response for 3 days. He simply went on vacation and left everybody hanging?! So I sent a separate email about it. By then, my card had been charged so no, I paid full price for this box and I expect it to be made right! Oh! I get my next box at $10 off. Really?! Is it going to be missing stuff and have crumpled up boxes in it too?! I’m honestly at a loss for words right now. I know I’m getting a new hairdryer but even after 20 minutes on the phone, I don’t think she quite understand everything that was wrong. I’m sorry but the new hair dryer isn’t going to cut it. The belt is damaged too you twit! Not to mention, if I wanted to swap items or give them as a gift, I can’t! Someone is supposed to be calling me back today. After 20 minutes of repeating myself, I was out of time and had to get off the phone. Not a good impression FFF. Not at all.

    • I found out appliances are vendor returns which are sometimes customer returns. I had an air fryer that was sent with many signs of use including scratch marks and a loose rolling bolt. My waffle maker was clearly used and the attempts to clean it was evident by swipe marks, scratches and a heavy rancid grease smell. FFF did not deny the items were refurbished especially when one member posted on the forum, her air fryer with a vendor return tag attached. She took off the posting once they promised her an upgraded one free of charge.
      US Consumer laws clearly state all refurbished utensils must be advertised as such. Even discontinued floor models cannot be advertised as “new”.

      • Has anyone tried to fit the diffuser and air concentrator on the blow dryer? Mine does NOT fit at all?? You may want to check it to see if it fits 🙁

      • Yes its a very tight fit but it will go on if you work it on. Don’t push too hard though you don’t want the plastic to crack. I plugged it in and it seems to work fine. Looks brand new and not a return item as someone mentioned above.

      • The Add On and Edit Sale small items can be vendor customer returns. Highly unlikely the collab items in the seasonal boxes are vendor returns. Collab items tend to be new launch items or items that are current. The air fryer and waffle maker were not in seasonal boxes and move were clearly used customer returns.

    • With issues email is a better way to go. Plus you have the added benefit of having whatever they promise to fix in writing and the dates and times vs a phone call where they can pretend it never happened and you’re crazy or say you misunderstood what the person told you. Customer service chat with screenshots is also good when dealing with companies.

      I’ve had fff for years and only had one issue with a mystery bundle which they did fix after I elevated it to higher customer service rep when the first one just didnt get it.

      • I had issues with the Promo working and tried resolving it via email and I ended up getting ignored after telling the CSR that they were not actually answering my question. I started a new email and it took two days to get a response and by then, it was too late. So, I took pics and sent an email. When I got the robo email, I attached the pics to that and then called them. Someone actually did call me back yesterday as I had spent 20 minutes on the phone with them and I was out of time. I did not have time to wait for a supervisor. They are sending me a whole new box including the Bundle?! What?! I said it wasn’t necessary but she said she felt I was right and FFF definitely did not make a good first or second impression for that matter. So, please just let us send it to you. Okay. That’s fine. I can start putting stuff aside for Christmas. 🤷‍♀️

    • I am so sorry you are having this experience. The only way I communicate with them is via chat, you have to login to your a count and look for the circle on the bottom right…what I like about chat is that they email you a transcript of your communication. I hope they make this right for you, which in my opinion is sending you a new box!

    • Many of the product boxes I received were smashed too. Also, the loop band I received in the set broke the very first time I used it, as in on the first rep. :/

  35. Ok what am I missing? How is the collar/tie on the kimono detachable? Like with scissors? I’m so lost.

    • In Liz photos of her wearing it it looks like it just hangs or you can tie it together to have it close in the front
