Bath Bevy “Summer Cocktails” June 2019 Review
This box included an info sheet with details on the products, plus exclusive coupons to the included brands!
Electric Lemonade Bubble Salts - Estimated Value $7.95 (based on a similar product found here)
I am always amazed when bubble salts actually form bubbles, but the ones from Bath Bevy do a great job of it! These also turned my bath water a delicious bright blue, and honestly all I needed was a mini inflatable umbrella to complete the bath cocktail.
Blue Hawaiian Bubble Bath – Estimated Value $5.95 (based on a similar product found here)
When I want a sweet cocktail, I am always happy to reach for a Blue Hawaiian, so this bubble bath is perfect for me. I would estimate that this jug has enough product for at least four baths (it is hard to say for sure how much I am pouring out), and this paired really well with the next item in the box, too.
Simply Organico Frozen Margarita Sugar Body Polish, 10.3 oz – Retail Value $14
I have enough sugar scrubs to exfoliate an elephant, but I will always happily accept more. Fun fact- I always had keratosis pilaris on my upper arms, and since starting with MSA (and thus, getting a LOT of sugar scrubs), the regular exfoliation has really made a dramatic difference in the way my arms look. I never thought to take before and after photos (my dad had it, so I always just thought it was normal for my arms to look that way), but now when I look at my arms I am always surprised. This body polish has the texture I really like in a scrub- you may prefer it differently, but I like a wet scrub to make it easier for the product to glide across my skin. This margarita-scented body polish comes complete with a lime soap garnish, and this is perfect for both the summer cocktail theme and summertime in general.
They also included some baby spoons for the scrub, but I honestly will just be using wet shower fingers to scoop some out (plus, I am pretty sure Duchess would jump at the opportunity to try and turn these into a cat toy if I leave them in my bathtub).
Soak and Unwind Lavender Bellini Bath Crumbles, 4 oz – Retail Value $5
Bath crumbles are basically a bath bomb in powder form, which means that 4 ounces of crumbles will go a lot farther than a four-ounce bath bomb. The lavender scent paired nicely with the Blue Hawaiian bubbles, and these crumbs are made with five different moisturizing oils for soft skin (which is important, because even though I also have enough body lotion to also moisturize another elephant, sometimes I am just lazy and don’t want to apply it).
Simply Organico Sex on the Beach Bath Bomb Creamer – Estimated Value $7 (based on other bath bomb creamers found here)
I have tried the bath bomb creamers from Simply Organico before, and I am a fan- they’re a super moisturizing big sister to your typical bath bomb. This version also comes with a soap cherry and an orange slice, and the scent is a blend of ripe peaches, fresh oranges, and spiced cranberry.
Simply Organico Amaretto Bath Bomb – Estimated Value $6 (based on other bath bombs found here)
I love eating amaretto truffles, but I don’t know if I have actually had an amaretto drink. Either way, this smells just like almonds with a hint of cherry and the fun pink color is a bonus.
Simply Organico Purple Hooters Soap, 1.6 oz – Estimated Value $1.71 (based on a similar triple butter soap found here)
I have never even heard of the drink Purple Hooters- you learn something new every day! This is scented with strawberries, raspberries, citrus greenery, and Chambord. I don’t know what Chambord is but it sounds fancy and I like the swirls of color in this soap. Plus, the multiple butters made this nourishing rather than drying on my skin.
The Verdict: I was so excited to see that Bath Bevy brought back the Summer Cocktails theme- they did it back in August of 2018, and I think it is such a fun curation of products that are perfect for summertime. It really felt like this box was jam-packed with different bath products, and all of the scents were fun. This isn’t the box for you if you’re concerned with getting a high retail value, but if you’re looking for high-quality products from small businesses and a box with thoughtful curation, I think you will be happy with this subscription.
