Dad By My Side by Soosh - Retail Value $16.99 (found here for $13.58)
This book is all about a sweet relationship between a dad and his daughter. The artwork is really touching and well done. I love that this book was offered for selection this month! I think there are not enough books out there about dads, and I love that this one shows him being so involved and reading in tents together, doing her hair, sewing her a dress, calling her at night when he's away, etc. This is a lovely book for us to read with my sons, but we also just found out our third baby (due in October) is a girl, and I think this will be extra special for my husband to read with her.
If Animals Said I Love You by Ann Whitford Paul - Retail Value $16.99 (found here for $14.23)
I try to tell my kids I love them as much as possible, so I thought this book would be a good addition to our library. This book is all about the different ways animals would tell their babies they love them if they could. The pictures are cute and both my 3 and 1-year-old love this book. It's a great book for bedtime and winding down, especially.
The Verdict: This was my sixth box from Amazon Prime Books Kids, and I love the selections we got this month. I chose the 3-5-year-old option for my 3-year-old. I really appreciate that I get an email before it ships so I can swap out and select which two books to get each time, and I trust Amazon's customer service if I have any issues. This really helps to make sure we get books I know we'll like, and having new books to read has helped bedtime go much more smoothly. Gideon looks forward to it because we'll read a fun, fresh, new story. For $19.99 a month plus free Prime shipping, we received two books with a total value of $33.98 (less with sale prices).
