Gwynnie Bee Box Review March 2019 - Box Closed Top

Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that formerly catered to plus sizes, but now is far more inclusive in offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like and they are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items sent to you are at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. I started using the service last year and can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental service, but they also have a marketplace on their site where you can buy strongly discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and work out gear as well! Did you know you it’s totally FREE to try Gwynnie Bee? Try it here, and don’t forget to check out all of the other subscription boxes you can try for free!

Gwynnie Bee March 2019 Review

This review is of the one item at a time for three items that I started to receive on March 8th, 2019:

Floral Shift Dress with Ruffled Sleeves by Karen Kane Size 2x—Retail Value $27

I generally am drawn to floral prints, so it is no surprise I had to closet this black and white number. With the material of this dress being 96% polyester and 4% spandex piece—it’s definitely not lacking stretch. It drapes rather well and the length is rather ideal too. The sleeves have such a precious ruffle detail as well. This is a dress I could easily wear to work and then after for a date or meet up with friends. I paired it with western style booties, but this would look adorable with wooden clog open toe platforms and a large brimmed hat or with black tights, booties, and a mauve pink biker jacket for a touch of color!

Leo Ava Dress by Leota Size 2L—Retail Value $49

If this is your first time reading one of my reviews, let it be known that I am a fiend for animal print items. It comes as no surprise then that I closeted this dress. Not only do I love leopard and cheetah prints, but I love the Leota brand. They are known for skater and wrap style dresses made from stretchy materials that really hug a woman’s curves. They are flirty, but appropriate for the office as well as a date. If I did not already have a dress similar in style to this one, I would have scooped this one up! The fabric is light and stretchy but doesn’t feel cheap. It is well made and the length perfectly hits me right at the knees. I can bend over without the fear that my bottom will be hanging out, which is a big plus! I styled this dress with my go-to faux leather biker jacket and western boots, but this would look ravishing with some jewel adorned sandals, cat eyes, and a seafoam blue cardigan for a dreamy spring day ensemble!

Leopard Print Lenox Cardigan by Sanctuary Clothing Size 1x—Retail Value $74.50

Okay, I sense the person that packed my Gwynnie Bee box somehow intuitively knew I am a leopard print addict. I’m not complaining! This cardigan is perfect for our wonky spring weather. Some days it will be in the 50s and some will be in the 70s— the forecast is constantly changing mid-day! Last week I was in shorts and now I am in sweaters again. I absolutely love this long button-down style. This will pair wonderfully with a black dress and flats or with high waist jeans and a tucked in vintage band shirt. I opted to go simple and style this cardigan with a sleeveless, black mock turtleneck and black jeans from an upcoming Dia & Co review. I added black open toe chunky heels to complete my sophisticated Peg Bundy look!

The Verdict: My love for Gwynnie Bee goes on! What has always made this such a standout service is that you can rent pieces and not simply try them on to purchase. I have a wedding in May I am already looking for a piece to wear from the site for the event. That is the beauty of Gwynnie Bee—you can rent a dress for a spring wedding, clothing for your new office job, or try out new trends all on a budget. I liken the service to having a revolving closet like Cher’s in Clueless with endless options, but without any Alaïa dresses—sorry! Truly, I can’t suggest Gwynnie Bee enough, give it a go with the free month trial and have fun with all the fashions delivered right to your door!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent or purchase at Gwynnie Bee.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three items at a time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month, but I could get several pieces sent to me in a month’s time if I return each piece after wearing promptly. The three items total up to $150.50, which is $55.50 more than my monthly subscription fee! Imagine the value if I had returned these pieces and received even more!
