Facetory Lux Box Deluxe April 2019 Review
Every box Facetory sends includes this detailed information sheet introducing all of the products in the box with the name, images, key ingredients, and directions. I love this sheet, it has proven to be super informative especially since some of the products have directions in Korean. As soon as I opened my box, though, I knew it felt a little short. Then, when I reviewed this sheet, I realized all my masks were missing and were not included! I immediately emailed customer service and they mailed replacement masks within a week.
The Lotus Jeju Botanical pH Balancing Cleanser – Retail Value $39.00, Listed Value $32.00
I was super excited to get a cleanser in this month’s box! I hope that eventually, I will have received all of the products needed to complete the 11-step routine on the insert I receive in the first Lux Plus Box last month. This cleanser smelled so good and the formula was thick and creamy. When I washed my face, it felt soft while washing and left my face smooth when I rinsed it off. This cleanser’s key ingredients are Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract (known as lotus extract) and contains antioxidants and skin-smoothing properties to help balance skin and improve elasticity (take that wrinkles!) as well as Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (aloe vera) which helps soothe and heal tired or irritated skin.
Puregen Multi Collagen Power Lifting Serum – Retail Value $57.00, Listed Retail Value $60.00
This is the highest valued item in this month’s box. The little bottle was nicely placed and secured in its little box and was even seal wrapped closed. When I took the glass bottle out of its secure home, I admired the bottle the serum rested in. The top serves as a dropper for the serum and doesn’t drop out when the top is separated from the bottom even though the serum is pretty runny, as you can see in the image above. This product boasts skin-defending and anti-aging ingredients combined to give skin a smooth and silk-like appearance. The key ingredients in this serum are Hydrolyzed Collagen, meant to help with hydration while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, which contains anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties to help moisturize, heal, soften and brighten skin tone. While I have only applied this a couple of times, I can see the difference in how soft my skin looks. This is a great addition to my routine for beautiful, youthful, glowing skin.
Dr. Lola Jeju Nature Cleansing Tool – Listed Value $5.00
This cleaning tool was the specialty item this month and when I saw the spoiler’s we released a couple of weeks ago, I was pretty excited to see what it was! This little sponge is pretty cool, made from konjac root grown in Asia. It is meant to work as an exfoliating tool but was super soft and spongy, not rough which was kind of what I was expecting. Even more unexpectedly, when I opened the package it was wet but there wasn’t anything in the package to make it wet. The directions say to wet it and gently squeeze out the water by pressing the sponge between my palms and to either apply cleanser or use it alone. I tried both. First, I gently scrubbed my face to get off any dry skin, then I applied the cleanser I received this month and rubbed in circular motions. It seemed to do okay but didn’t really take away all of the dry skin off of my nose. It says that we can use this 1-2 times a week, but considering how soft it is, daily use wouldn’t be too much on my skin. I keep this in the shower for daily use, not in the package it came in and noticed that when it dried it really hardens and loses its squishy texture. As soon as I got it wet again, it was just like when I removed it from the package.
Duft & Doft Mini Hand Creams Set – Retail Value $12.98 (£10.00), Listed Value $10.00
The final item in my box (welp) was this set of 4 travel sized hand creams. They were boxed nicely and each one was sealed. The scents are absolutely amazing and so perfume like! Key ingredients in these creams are shea butter, which helps restore elasticity and provides moisturizing nourishment and collagen, which helps with hydration while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The set includes 4 scents: Stockholm Rose (rose scent), Pink Breeze (peach & peony scent), Sophy Soapy (orchid scent) and Sugar Delight (pink grapefruit and freesia scent) with my favorite scent being Sugar Delight. These are the perfect size for carrying in my purse!
I got a response from Facetory and received my masks five days later. I was excited to see them in the mail and immediately went home and got my face ready. The directions on all of the masks indicate to wash my face first, apply toner, then mask!
When I opened my package, I was delighted to see a note and some bonus stickers!
It sparked a little something inside getting a hand-written sorry note. The customer service seems genuine, which is really great.

Huangjisoo Centeall Repairing Mask – Listed Value $5.00
I loved the packaging on this mask! It has skin healing ingredients (Centella Asiatica) and anti-aging properties (termella fuciformis extract) to help brighten and even out skin tone. This mask left my skin really soft.
Facetory Let’s Talk Vitality Mask – Listed Value $3.50
I think this one was my favorite in this month’s box. Before I opened it, I placed it in-between my hands to really move the essence around. When I opened it, the mask and essence looked thick and creamy! It smelled so good, but not overwhelming. It was cool on my face and left my skin really soft. When I woke up, my skin just looked amazing. Definitely a favorite, and definitely one that I will purchase again if they offered it for purchase in the online store.
Ariul Juice Cleanse Mask 2x Raspberry Lead – Listed Value $5.00
After reading the spoilers we released on this box, I was most excited to try this mask out, it looks fun and interesting! But when I had it in my hands, I was a bit more intimidated. Directions say to open the left side and remove the dry mask, which I did. Then I was to open the Juice Cleanse Mask side and submerge the dry mask into the essence. Well, I couldn’t get it in there! So I opened my mask and figured I would spread it on the mask that way, which immediately sounded better in my head than when I actually did it. My husband grabbed me a paper plate and I was able to lay my open, dry mask on there and coat it in the essence. Once I had the plate, I was ready to rock and roll, er, mask. I liked this mask, but the essence was a little drippy. I had to keep spreading it in as I wore it. When I removed it, though, my skin was super soft. This one also turned my skin red for a little while, though. It never burned, but I could feel it cleaning my pores. I would be up to using this one again, though I prefer the mask to already have the essence on.
Verdict: Facetory’s new Lux Plus Box has been super exciting and the first box just blew me away. The spoilers released for this month’s box kept me happy and anxious to receive it, but when I opened it I was so disappointed to see that nearly half of my box was missing. It was really easy to reach out to customer service and I got a kind response and they immediately sent me the missing masks. I also really appreciated the handwritten apology – they could’ve just thrown them in the mail with nothing. As far as the other products, I really liked everything, especially the cleanser and the serum. This box comes in at $120.50 which is stellar considering it is a $34.95 subscription – the value is almost 4 times the cost of the box. This sub is definitely my top skincare box.
