Facetory Lux Box May 2019 Review
This month, my box came with an envelope that had my name on it. When I opened it, there was a postcard with a picture of the first Lux Plus Box and on the back, it introduces this subscription, its contents, and the costs (the monthly cadence and pricing is changing to quarterly in June).
Every box includes a pamphlet with detailed information on the products included in the box. It introduces the product with a picture, features the key ingredients in the product and directions for use! I find this especially helpful because some of the products’ directions are in Korean. The pamphlet also introduces the theme and this month it is “You Are Tea-riffic!” I just want to say, I love the teapot on the top of the pamphlet when opened; it reminds me of Mrs. Potts from Beauty And The Beast. Let’s see what came in this month’s box!
First, I want to take the time to really appreciate how pretty this bottle is! The color, the top, all of it! This product is meant to give your skin extra hydration and contains sodium hyaluronate, a powerful hydrating ingredient that sinks deep into the skin while attracting water to plump your skin. It also contains rosa centifolia flower water which is a calming and healing ingredient that helps moisturize while tightening pores. The product is pretty thin but not thin enough to run out of the dropper, which I appreciate; I dislike when I apply a product from a dropper and I have to catch it before it goes into my eyes. It also has a nice, light floral scent. After using this product, my skin is left pretty soft and happy.
Moksha Ha Dong Fix-Up Gel Mist, 80 ml – Retail Value $25.00, Listed Value $20.00
This stuff is cool! Looking at it in the bottle, it looks thick and really gel-like; I am talking like hair gel. But it transforms into a cooling mist really easily. It is meant to plump and refresh the skin, making it smooth, hydrated and balanced. Key ingredients include Ha Dong green tea and centella asiatica, a powerful anti-aging ingredient that helps revitalize the skin’s protective barrier and delivers hydration to the skin. I really like this mist, it goes on smooth and leaves my skin soft. While it looks thick and gel-ly it certainly sits on my skin like water.
Oh my gosh, this product! It is definitely a WOW item and left me amazed from the first time I used it to the last time I used it, just moments ago. When I squeezed this out of its pretty pastel blue tube, the product was nice and thick. Then I started to rub it in on my hand and it started to pick up dead skin cells of my hand. When I washed it off, my hand was left feeling so soft and smooth! This peeling gel melts away impurities and removes dead skin cells to reveal healthier, cleaner, brighter skin. Key ingredients include Vitis vinifera (grape) skin extract which is an antioxidant that softens and smooths the skin while helping with anti-aging and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The other key ingredient is Pyrus Malus (apple) fruit extract which helps protect skin from free radical damage while providing it with nutrients to hydrate and plump. This is my new favorite exfoliator!
Facetory Soothe Me Tea Tree Mask – Listed Value $5.00
I like two-step masks, they are fun and I really feel like they give my skin a little more than just throwing a sheet mask on it. This one has a toner I applied to my skin first before masking. Directions told me to apply with a gentle tapping motion which I totally did. Then I got to mask! I love the smell of this mask, it wasn’t too overwhelming and was just right. I kept the mask on for 20 minutes and rubbed in the remaining essence into my skin. Afterward, my skin was left bright and soft.
Galantry Step-By-Step Moisturizing Mask – Listed Value $6.00
I think this was my favorite mask in this month’s box and its another two-stepper! The first step had me rub my face with the exfoliating pad it came with, first using the microfiber side then had me flip the pad to the smoother side to pick up any remaining debris. Then I was able to mask! The mask has a light scent and was cold as soon as I put it on. I let it sit for 20 minutes and rubbed in the extra essence into my face. It left my skin feeling so refreshed!
Leaders Hello Moisture Glow Primer Mask – Retail Value $3.00, Listed Value $3.00
This was the first time I have seen a mask to prime skin before makeup and I was super excited to try it out! The mask is meant to hydrate my skin without leaving stickiness. After I washed my face, I put the mask on and left it on for about 10 minutes while I messed with my hair. As soon as I took it off, I rubbed in the remaining essence and let it dry before I put on my makeup primer. My makeup looked stellar after using this mask! Coincidence? I think not!
Kocostar Strawberry Slice Mask – Retail Value $5.00, Listed Value $5.00
This was another first. They are individual mask slices designed for target specific areas on the face or body. It is meant to help your skin feel super smooth and look absolutely radiant. It came with 12 individual pieces and were pretty when on! I used these right under my eyes to help brighten them up after a few nights of little sleep. My skin was brightened and felt great! This probably the most adorable most neat kind of mask I have ever received.
Verdict: I am still so impressed with Facetory’s Lux Plus Box. When they first rolled out, I knew there was no way I would skip signing up. I have not been let down yet; every single product I have received is amazing and really has made my skin glow. Never has my skin ever looked better. This month, I loved every single item in my box (not unusual) and I have incorporated them into my skin routine somehow. The total estimated value is $119.70 which triples the value of the box!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The June box is available for pre-order. Please note the price increase to $49.95/quarter for 10-12 products, however “i
