Peaches and Petals March 2019 Box Review
This subscription always comes with a card that doesn’t really have product info but usually has a promo for another box. This month features Pet Treater (check out our reviews here!).
These socks are A LOT. They are knee-high, covered in cats, fish, butterflies, and birds, and the top is a cuckoo clock. I will admit though, they are pretty cute and if you like wild socks you will be really happy with these! The quality is good (a blend of cotton, poly, spandex) and they are soft without being thin.
Faux Candle Lantern
This was an interesting thing to find in the box next to the cat socks. This lantern has a rustic faux finish that makes it look vintage and weathered and inside holds a battery powered candle. Though the attached tag says batteries are included, we did not have any. The light of the candle itself is a subtle flicker, mimicking a flame.
MelonPro – Retail Value $7.00
This coral/orange melon utensil will probably come in handy this summer, but it feels so incredibly random as a followup to cat socks and a lantern. One end is for scooping melon into ball shapes and the other is used for easily removing rind from the melon flesh.
Global Beauty Care Charcoal Nose Pore Strips – Retail Value $4.99
These nose strips take me back to high school when they were really becoming popular and all of my friends and I loved them because they were that perfect combination of gross and awesome. These are pretty straightforward and work just fine. They are charcoal infused which should assist even further with pore cleansing.
My Beauty Spot Honey Lavender Sheet Mask Set
Lastly, we have a set of sheet masks in a lavender/honey formula. I don’t know much about this brand, but I will say that the serum was clear and light, and had no stickiness. The mask fit my face well and left my skin looking very hydrated. There was also a nice honey scent.
Verdict: Peaches and Petals is once again the most random subscription I review. This box is always hit or miss! I will admit that there is something charming about the little lantern and though the melon tool is so so completely random, I will actually use it a ton this summer. I think the trick with this subscription is not to expect any sort of storyline or theme. Setting that as an expectation will absolutely make this box feel like something that has a decent overall value. This is a box for someone who loves a COMPLETE surprise. Though I couldn’t find the retail values of everything, the socks, melon tool, and pore strips have a combined value of around $23, which is over the $19.99 cost of the box and leaves the sheet masks and lanterns as additional value.
