Morning Surprise Hand Cream in 'Princess Snail'

This was a variant scent, you could have gotten either this snail flavor or a peach one. While snail extract sounds super creepy, it is actually one of my fave J-Beauty ingredients because it is super hydrating. This cream has a light, clean scent and is very moisturizing. I also love the super kawaii packaging!

Berrison Peking Opera Sheet Mask - Retail Value $4.00

I love that this mask has an opera mask print on it! Totally more exciting than a normal plain mask. This formula has red wine in it, which has tons of antioxidants that give your skin extra anti-aging strength! This mask left my skin feeling refreshed and dewy, with none of the stickiness that I hate in a mask.

The Saem Water Candy Lip Tint - Retail Value $5.49 (currently out of stock online)

Yessss! I love a good stain, and this one is BOLD. This could have been any of 5 different fruit flavors/shades, but we received cherry. It is a true red stain with a ton of saturation. It is also incredibly long lasting and was really difficult to wash off after the swatch below. Not so great for my arm but awesome for lips! It does have a scent that reminds me of children's cherry cold medicine, but I don't mind.

Ariul Stress Relieving Cleansing Wipes - Retail Value $2.49 (currently out of stock)

This handy pack of wipes is more than perfect for your weekend getaway bag. They have a bright citrusy scent and do a great job of removing makeup and dirt. Although they have a pretty strong scent on the towel, none of that stays on your face after usage. My skin felt really clean and refreshed after using these.

Lucky Wink Foot Scrub Sponge

My heels need something a little stronger than this cute sponge, but the rest of my feet are much improved from using it. Much softer than pumice, you can use this scrubber all over the tops and bottoms of your feet to gently exfoliate dry skin. Be sure to follow up with a rich foot cream for the ultimate in pampering.

House Shaped Makeup Sponges

This sub always sends the cutest and most creative versions of everyday items. These little makeup sponges are in the shape of little houses and are a super cute pink color. You can wet them and use them for your concealer and foundation, or use them dry for powders and blending.

To-Plan Shea Butter Body Lotion

This is a cute little tube of shea butter lotion that is very nourishing for the skin and handy to keep close by in your desk or purse. It has a light sweet scent.

Konnyaku Face Sponge

This sponge comes already wet, which is kind of gross and lots of awesome! Made from the fibers of the konnyaku plant, you have probably seen this type of sponge sold stateside but in a dry form and usually pink or black because of added charcoal or clay. It is squishy and gel-like at the same time when wet, and it is a great choice for your delicate facial skin when used with a cleanser.

Verdict: No Make No Life Box had some really fun items this month! I am swooning over the lip stain because I absolutely adore a stain in the summer because it gives color without being heavy. Both of the hand creams made my hands feel so soft and I enjoy having little tubes close by. We got three sponges of different types this month, each one more useful than the next! Face wipes are always nice to have around and the sheet mask this month was so unique! This is a great sub for those K and J Beauty addicts who want unusual and harder to find beauty items each month.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Miss Pippa

This is my second NMNL box and I could not be happier. Everything in both boxes has put a smile on my face. I have found I am using the products & tools I thought might be just ok more than my old favorites. $35.00 dollars a month for something fun, different and totally useable is money well spent for me.

one of this box’s strengths is taking everyday necessity and making them adorable. I can always get behind that.

Hi Megan, I really appreciate your reviews of NMNL & they helped me decide to get a full year subscription. I still can’t get over how much I am using & loving the last two boxes. The Princess Snail cream is wonderful. I am also a big fan of the Ariul wipes. I have been getting them at CVS for over a year & rave about them to family & friends. Seeing them in the box made me feel like I was more in touch with the beauty world than I previously thought.

Lori

This box is always super cute, I just can’t justify the price.

I can see that. It is def. more of an experimental box IMO.

Jen

I was thinking the same thing. I love the items but I definitely would love to see more value to justify the price.

I take issue with the name of this box. Sure, some people love makeup and it’s probably a great box – but naming it around the idea that makeup is essential to life? That leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

amber

Seriously? This box isn’t TELLING you that makeup is essential for your life. This box is FOR those who feel like makeup is an essential.

Anyway, I came to comment that I live those makeup wipes. They have them at CVS in 2-packs. I think this box has really improved since it first came out. Keeping this one on my radar!

You know what? You’re right. I guess I wasn’t reading it the right way. I went back and read that they said makeup was essential in “OUR daily life” not just “daily life.”. I clicked on the link out of curiosity and was offended when I shouldn’t have been – I apologize.

Flora

Haha! Maybe it’s that whole “lost in translation” thing. I don’t use a lot of makeup either but the packaging on these products are pretty cute.
