This month we received a small note thanking us for our purchase and explaining the Welsh tradition of a Lovespoon. We even got a small lovespoon of our very own!
Proceeds from each purchase are donated to Feeding Children Everywhere.
And finally, we got a small pop-up thank you note that I find incredibly charming.
Each 12-month subscription comes with a complimentary wick trimmer at some point during your subscription, and this month I received mine!
Citrus Mandarin Soy Candle, 8.5 oz – Retail Value $28
I am a big citrus fan, so this candle was a hit as soon as I opened it. It is a blend of orange, lemon zest, and grapefruit, and it is a really refreshing blend that brightens up the room I burn it in. This is large enough for the throw to fill my kitchen or living room, and the candle is made with 100% US-grown soy wax and a cotton eco-wick.
Lemon Verbena Soy Candle, 8.5 oz – Retail Value $28
I love the scent of lemon in all forms, and this candle reminds me of lemon cleaning supplies. I dig it because it gives my apartment that freshly-cleaned feel when I definitely did not freshly clean. This will burn for about 50 hours and the glass it is housed in is made of 50% recycled materials.
Vanilla Bean Travel Tin, 2 oz- Retail Value $6.95
This baby candle is perfect for travel (as the name implies) or filling the powder room with the scent of freshly baked vanilla. I have never been one to bring a candle in my carryon, but I like that this gives me the option of being that fancy.
The Verdict: I loved the fresh scents found in this month’s box- Spring is definitely here, and this month embraced it. You can’t deny that this box has great packaging and a lovely unboxing experience, and I appreciate that the candles are high quality and burn clean. I was happy with the scent throw these candles put out, and they would also make a lovely gift if one scent isn’t your style—just slap a bow on the box and make your friends day! Value wise, this box has a value of $62.95, which is a little over $10 more than the $44.95 cost of the box plus $6.95 shipping.
