Our specimen this month is spherical Prehnite.

Prehnite

So these guys are pretty small compared to our normal main specimen (between 1.5-2 inches long), but look at that color! Prehnite is one of my favorite minerals for that unique greenish blue shade. I love that these lean a little more blue than some others I have seen, and the spherical shapes are so unique and rare. These specific crystals were found in Mali, buried in the hills and valleys of the region. Prehnite is often used in jewelry and is closely associated with the Libra sign. It is valued for its healing abilities and is treasured by many for its calming nature.

Enchanted Crystal April 2019 bonus crystals

Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.

Green Calcite

These are pretty interesting! They aren't super green, but the hue is there. The finish is almost satin feeling, very clear but not super shiny. I love that there are also shades of red and brown in these pretty stones. This is also considered to be a healing stone, though more of an emotional one rather than physical.

Madagascar Star Quartz

These pretty little points have a delightfully foggy appearance and some reddish tinting. They are different than many of my more clear quartz crystals in my collection.

More fairy teeth! I love adding more of these longer, thinner quartz points to my evergrowing collection. Though it can be kind of hard to tell the difference between some of them if I study them closely enough I can always find little special quirks that define each one.

Verdict: Enchanted Crystal was less about a larger main crystal this month, but what it lacked in size it made up for in rarity. I didn't have a prehnite in my collection in a color close to this or shape, so I am really excited to add it. I always love the little included bag of smaller still specimens and usually keep them scattered on my desk to tinker with while I write and think. This continues to be one of my favorite subscriptions and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to add more special crystals to their collections each month.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
