BuffBoxx March 2019 Review
BuffBoxx does not include an itemized list of the content within the box, but they do sometimes include some bonus items. This month they sent out a Refix envelope with a coupon for a free sample, a Refix rubber bracelet, and a BuffBoxx hand sanitizer.
BuffBoxx also included two packets of eFlow Nutrition Endure BCAA Aminos, which is used as a stimulant-free pre or intra workout recovery agent. This supplement helps to preserve and protect muscle while enhancing recovery and endurance. This packet almost totally dissolved in water with barely any grit to it, and it tasted pretty great (like a snow cone)! It worked just as any Amino supplement I’ve taken, but this may be the best tasting, yet.
Buff Bake Protein Cookie Bites in Birthday Cake, 1.79oz - Estimated Value $2.25, Buy a 4 pack for $8.99
Buff Bake Protein Cookie Bites in Sweet and Salty, 1.79oz - Estimated Value $2.25, Buy a 4 pack for $8.99
BuffBoxx sent two flavors of these cookies this month, and they are delicious. They actually taste like treats! The two flavors taste very similar, both having the same peanut butter spread between two cookie layers, except that the Sweet and Salty has a hint of salt. These cookies are perfect dunked in milk, but they would also be great to bring on a hike or bike ride when you need a little boost. Each bag contains 4 cookies, adding up to 220 calories, 12 grams of protein and only 8 grams of sugar per package, the perfect guilt-free snack!
Human Performance Amp Pain Relieving Lotion, 4 x .35oz packets - Retail Value $8
I was pretty shocked to see one of these packets cost $4, but I guess that is the cost of convenience! It suggests to use one packet per limb, but I was able to stretch one packet to cover both of my calves/quads generously. I am not much of a runner, but when I do run I always get shin splints and my quads get incredibly tight, but I didn’t have any pain during this workout! Maybe the menthol took my mind off of it, but I did notice decreased soreness the next day. The consistency never completely dried down before getting dressed for my workout, but it didn’t leave any stains on my loose-fitting gym shorts.
Perfect Fitness Perfect Ab Strap - Retail Value $14.99
I’m so happy BuffBoxx included workout gear again! Although I don’t have an obvious spot to try these out on, I’ve watched a few YouTube reviews, and they look like they could assist you in an intense ab/core workout! There are several exercises you could do with these, with a few pictured right on the side of the box. The straps themselves look very sturdy made of a thick material, and the carabiners are heavy duty.
First Order Protein Bar - Retail Value $2.08, Buy a box of 12 for $25
This tangy protein bar tasted pretty good! I wish there was more of a cashew flavor, but the lemon really came through. This bar isn’t ideal for my needs, no fiber to be found, but it has a decent amount of protein (11 grams) and the calorie count (220 grams) is normal for this type of product. I like the simplicity of only having 4 ingredients, as well, but the sticky texture really isn’t my favorite.
Under Armour UA Tech Twist Graphic Tank, Size Medium - Retail Value $27.99 (Found on sale here for $25.99)
I’ve grown so fond of Under Armour loose-fit clothing. This graphic tank is a great color, too! This quick drying top has odor-free technology, and its 100% polyester material is also quite soft. The fabric is sheer, but that really doesn’t phase me in a workout top. Another great gym staple from BuffBoxx!
Verdict: BuffBoxx mixed it up a bit with this month’s box, again, by sending more workout gear, which I love. The value of this box wasn’t there this month (calculating a total value of$55.56), even though I really like the tank top and cookies they sent. Other than that, the samples were only one use packets, which is a little disappointing. BuffBoxx definitely helped me discover a few great products this month, even though it was almost like paying full price for each item.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the April box. There is some customization with Buffboxx, so in a given month, someone else’s box contents might not match mine.
