Let’s dive in!
Iconic Beauty Microbrow Tattoo Pen in ‘Dark Brown’, 0.7 g – FULL SIZE! – Retail Value $9.00
Where has this pen been all my life? I have super thin brows from years of overplucking (put down the tweezers ladies!) and though they are a nice darker color, the hair themselves are just thin. I usually fill in my brows with Benefit Gimmie Brow #3 which I adore, but something about this pen is intriguing. It has individual little points on the tip which create realistic hair strokes. The only downside here is that I usually do my brows after my foundation and powder, meaning whatever I use on them ends up with a layer of my other products, which might not vibe well with this delicate applicator. I will try it over time but at the very least I would use this in the summer when I ditch my foundations and powders! I am also curious to see how long this brush tip lasts without drying out.
Aesthetica Liquid Strobe in ‘Spectrum‘, 0.04 fl oz – FULL SIZE! – Retail Value $18.00
I have never used a strobe in this sort of packaging, but I like the idea of using this brush in harder to reach places like the inner corners of my eyes. Although this packaging states “tan to dark” on the outside, the shade is totally wearable for someone who is fair and gives my skin an instant golden glow that is subtle but buildable. You could use this all over your face as a primer for a dewy all over glow, but the pen is a little on the small side, so I am not sure that would really last long! It has a nice clean scent.
Realher Lip Plumping Lip Gliss in ‘I am a Fighter’, 0.12 fl oz – FULL SIZE! – Retail Value $21.00
This is my type of red! Dark, vampy, but still sheer. This unscented formula is great! It is smooth and not sticky and has hyaluronic acid and jojoba oil so your lips won’t dry out. I think the packaging is really modern and pretty! It looks like there were shade variants from box to box, but I am really happy with this dramatic red.
100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Eyeshadow in ‘Flax Seed’, 2 g –FULL SIZE! – Retail Value $20.00
This eyeshadow is so neutral on my skin! It takes a little extra for it to really show up, but since I lean towards natural or no eyeshadow at all, I kind of really like it. This company uses no artificial dyes or color, so the colors are made from fruits and other natural elements. It does have just the slightest bit of sheen.
Top to bottom: Eyebrow Pen, Spectrum Strobe, Realher Lipstick, 100% Pure eyeshadow
BONUS: You & Oil Carrot Broccoli Chia Serum, 30 ml – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $41.53 (€36.90, currently out of stock)
I love a good serum and I have never tried one of this variety. The blend of carrot oil, broccoli, and chia is really unique! This oil has a spicy scent that I really like. The oil itself is incredibly fast absorbing, which should put some fears to rest that you may have regarding adding oil to your face if you tend to be oily or break out frequently. I have really dry skin so I need all the moisture I can get! The fatty acids in this formula are really great for your skin and it also provides a high dose of vitamins A, C, and E.
Verdict: This box has a retail value of $109.53 which is a great value for the $39.95 cost. Vegan Cuts was really impressive last quarter, so I am thrilled this box is a worthy followup. I was pleasantly surprised at how high end these items felt, from the packaging to the genius features (especially that brow pen!) There was great variety too, and minus foundation and mascara you truly have a complete look in this box which totally fits the ‘Fierce & Foxy’ theme and is natural and cruelty free. That is winning in my book!
