Big Bear Meat Claws – Retail Value $7.99

The first item in my box really stood out: I have never seen such a thing and I was so curious. I had just finished watching a lot of BBQ Pit Masters and couldn’t help but wonder if Pit Masters would ever use these. They are sharp plastic pieces that can be used to pull pork, shred chicken, or lift a turkey – which I would be scared of doing in fear of dropping the bird! They are definitely interesting and I am adamant of using them at some point, if not just for the experience.

Westcott All Purpose Scissors – Retail Value $11.50 (Found here for $5.99)

I can never have too many pairs of scissors – especially since my 8-year old crafter takes and misplaces mine. Often. I have a set upstairs in my room, in my daughter’s nursery next to the diaper pail, in the craft room, a craft box for a craft I am currently working on and a missing pair from the kitchen – which these will replace. These are 8 inches long, with durable stainless blades and should last for quite some time. I like the burgundy color, so they are a win.

Teknon Power Bank

When I first opened this, I was pretty excited. I have always wanted a power bank; I kill my phones battery pretty quickly and it would be nice to have since I have a habit of forgetting my charger if I end up bringing it with me. But then I realized that the part that plugs into the phone was the old style and wasn’t capable with my phone, or a lot of newish phones. I had a Samsung 6 (pictured) that my husband has to use since he broke his phone, so he was able to use this for now, but I have a Samsung 9 that I cannot use it for. Honestly, Bob just broke his phone two weeks ago, so if he still had his old phone this would have been useless to us. I think a lot of folks who receive this may end up disappointed (also not compatible with an iPhone).

Verdict: As usual this box was completely random. I have learned I get one really good practical item (this month being the scissors), an item I may or may not use that had an infomercial at one point (bear claws) and another item that should be super awesome but is old and may or may not be useful to me or my family (power bank). Either way, this month’s box was not a total miss and I am pretty sure all the items will be used. For the items I could locate (bear claws and scissors), they totaled $19.49 ($13.98 if you count the sale price). Considering this box is a mere $9.99, I think it was well worth the value this month.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Each box is completely random. You may get some of the same items or you may get totally different ones!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $9.99 which means you are paying approximately $3.33 an item.

Lol, none of those comments published initially. Too funny everyone had the same thoughts. I’m sure we are all posting from…ummm…same experience. 😂

We all have those moments.

You can use an adapter and keep it for that cord only. It’s what I do for mine.

Melanie

You should be able to use the power bank… just switch the cord to one that’s compatible to your phone.

The cord that comes with powerbanks is typically for charging the powerbank itself. You would need to use your own cord to charge the phone.

Jackie

I was going to say the same thing. You should be able to use your own charging cable attached to that.

It looks like you could use your own cord? I’ve got a USB c and I just switched cords.
