Flare Up by Shannon Stacey – Retail Value $7.99 (found here for $5.98)

Since this is my last semester of law school, things have been crazy busy! It was a few days before I could finally pick this book up and start reading, but once I did I finished it in a day. It is that perfect mix of mindless entertainment with enough fun details to not be boring- I was invested in what happened to the characters, but I didn’t have to think too hard to keep track of who was who. There also were some pretty descriptive scenes in this book that was a lot more interesting than the regular vanilla descriptions that come in most romance novels. I’ll definitely be looking into the rest of the books in this series!

Raspberry Rosebud Bath Bomb Creamer by Simply Organico – Estimated Value $6.50 (based on other bath bomb creamers from the brand here)

This bath bomb was made with a ton of shea and cocoa butter, and the result was a super nourishing bath that smelled like sweet florals. It turned my water pink, but it did have a creamy blue center that added extra moisture and a pop of color.

Pink Heart Bath Bomb

This unbranded bath bomb shot out streams of pink and yellow into my tub, and it had a sweet scent that reminded me of candy hearts.

Soak + Unwind Midnight in Paris Bath Salts, 4.2 oz – Estimated Value $4.25 (buy the full-size version for $8.50)

Soak + Unwind is a common brand to appear in bath boxes, and I usually enjoy their products. These bath salts are no exception- before I even added them to the water I had to take a moment to appreciate how pretty the salt crystals were. Once this was added to hot water, the Midnight in Paris scent of plumeria, passion fruit, peach, lilies, and roses bloomed and made my entire bathroom smell lovely. I am currently trying to become a runner by following the Couch to 5k program, and while I make sure to always stretch after bath salts are definitely my friend right now, too.

Bubbles & Books Premium Handmade Soap in Petal Dance

This soap is made with olive oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, and roses- it is gorgeous to look at! I am happy with how this soap doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight, and the floral rose scent was pleasant, too.

Bubbles & Books February 2019 - Bubbles & Books Love Spell Bubble Bath Front

Bubbles & Books Love Spell Bubble Bath

This little jar is just enough bubbles for one bath, and it smells like the signature Victoria’s Secret fragrance of cherry blossom and peach. Bubbles are never a bad thing in my book, so I am always happy to have more of these little jars.

Verdict: I thought this was a very well curated box! The floral notes that are typical in the month of February were present, and I enjoyed them. The book was a great read, and I got enough bath goodies to have multiple love baths. I couldn’t find a value for about half of the items in the box, but overall I do think this box was worth the $30 it cost.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you will receive the March box.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t go on pizza and when I’m not studying for law school I’m relaxing at home with my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like!

  1. The book sounds like a fun read. I haven’t read a “bodice ripper” in years and years but might have to look for this one.

  2. I’m also trying to become a runner by using the Couch to 5k app. I feel your pain.

  3. Those are some of the prettiest bath salts I’ve ever seen. A lot prettier than the epson salts I use after an intense workout lol!
How do they work in comparison?
