  1. I swapped for the bracelets and I love them so much I decided to order this to get another set and the floral scarf (I wear bracelets and scarves to work a lot). Glad about the large tote bag- I use mine all the time for work and would love to have a backup one in case the strap ever breaks. I’ve ordered and canceled several times with no issues but I know I’m one if the lucky ones.

  2. I have not had any problems with BOS. I signed up for the Winter box and cancelled the Spring box with no problems. That tote/bag is beautiful and really good quality, it has a shoulder strap so you don’t always have to use the handles. I will say I am disappointed in the jewelry that came with the winter box. The ring is somewhat flimsy and the gold plating is coming off and the face to the watch has a big scratch already. I wouldn’t have a problem with this if the retail pricing was fair, but $95 retail for a flimsy plated ring and $115 for a watch that isn’t real? I could go to Kohls and get the real thing for those prices. I know hiking up RV is a subscription box thing, but it’s seriously annoying. I didn’t pay full price for the box so I’m still happy, I just wouldn’t have been happy with the quality of the jewlery if I had ordered the box for that reason. Based on my experience with BOS, I would order again in the future…I probably wouldn’t recommend them to a friend, but I would give them another shot.

  4. I’ve been a subscriber since day one and have never had a problem at all. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, but I love this box. I’ve overlapped subscriptions and got a Gilt box, and no problems at all. Fingers crossed that that never changes. 😕🤞

    • They sent the wrong ring last time. I sent them an email & never heard anything back. About 2-3 weeks later the right ring showed up in the mail.

  5. This use to be one of my favorite boxes. However, after the recent debacle in November where I did not receive what I was promised, no email stating I wouldn’t receive it, endless robot emails stating please be patient with us we will get to you (but never did), and still no resolution, I would never do a deal with them where you are supposed to get something free with purchase. The Black Friday debacle was so shady and Box of Style handled it so unprofessionally. I understand My Subscription Addiction may have to post about their boxes, but there should be a disclaimer that states on any box promo for them that this company has a high level of complaints, etc. I can’t believe there is not a disclaimer already.

  6. They couldn’t pay me to resubscribe to this box. Anyone who questions, check out ther BBB rating. Consider yourself warned.

  7. I have that bag and I love it. The quality is good and it’s quite big. I use it as an overnight bag for weekend trips.

    I was among those whose box of style shipped without the Black Friday bundle (a lipstick, palette, and face oil). Mine just had the face oil. I contacted customer support about it via email because I was disappointed and they for back to me after a week or two with an apology and a replacement bundle of face must and lip balm. Later on, I received the lipstick separately and was informed via email that they had managed to get a hold of some more stock which is why it came separate.

    Meanwhile, the beautiful watch that came in my box snapped a link. I contacted via email again and sent a photo and was promptly sent a replacement watch, which I now wear every day.

    Overall, I was very happy with my box and with the CS team’s efforts to rectify the shortfalls. It’s not nice to have to complain to get what you want but I definitely can’t say their CS didn’t do a good job.

  9. I had an annual sub and cancelled recently (I just needed to save some $$) and had no problems at all. AND I really love that tote. I’ve been lugging it around for 3 months, and it might be vegan leather, but it holds up really well. Some people had bad experiences, but hopefully they’ll turn it around.

  10. If you are seriously thinking about getting this box PLEASE use the search function and look at the other Box of Style blog post comments to see how you will really be treated by customer service.
    It’s not pretty!
    Be prepared to have late deliveries and damaged items if you get them at all!
    Customer service is gruesome, at best, contrary to the post that MSA references above.
    Be prepared to be disappointed.
    This box is not worth it, no matter the discount.
    If you want this stuff, check ebay or the swap board here.

    • I bought the tribe Alive envelope clutch brand new from ebay for $22 + free ship. I want to subscribe to BOS so bad, but scared to because of the reviews.

  11. OMG can someone please explain the hatred in these comments? I’ve heard it’s hard to cancel but that’s it! Never seen this level of vitriol. What’s up? — Box of Style newbie

    • There’s alot of shady issues with this box. I highly recommend you read every single thread on this box before you even think of subscribing.

    • I canceled my sub because of $$, but I never experienced any issues whatsoever. It was easy to cancel too. There are a lot of people who have had bad customer service experiences, but there are also a lot who have had positive. Most people mainly comment on the negative. In my opinion, I feel like every negative comment I see, there’s probably someone somewhere who had a positive experience too. I also never had any issues with late boxes like a lot of people talk about. I did have one issue with a damaged item and BOS sent me a replacement. You can read these comments, but don’t take stock in other people’s experiences. You have to make your own decisions.

    • I also don’t understand the hatred. I subscribed with a 2018 Black Friday deal and got a tracking number, but it didn’t work and I never received my box. I emailed customer service and it took a week or two for them to respond (though I did get periodic updates that they were working through the queue). I had decided I didn’t need the box anyway, so I asked the CSR to refund me and cancel my subscription, which he promptly did. So I guess there was an issue, but they took care of it. I wouldn’t worry too much, if you want the box, get it. Worst case scenario, your credit card company will help you.

  12. What a joke! Doesn’t EVERYONE know what a scamming, rip-off, bunch of liars they are by now?!?!?

    • Right!? The fact that they still have subscribers is incredible.

    • No, because a lot of people have had positive experiences with them. I’m myself being one of them.

    • The only way I’ve felt ripped off by BOS was buying a box with their “discounts” just to see them release a gilt discount code and offer a free bundle for the same box.

      I never had an issue canceling or not getting product. I just won’t buy this box until it’s the lowest price possible. I feel bad for any annual subscribers.

      • I’m amazed there are a few positive comments here. I subscribed for a year and with my third and fourth box my problems with this company started. That was over a year ago and things haven’t changed, apparently! I would never ever ever subscribe again, and am always saddened by hearing about the continuing problems.
