Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 Review

Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Java Jolt Exfoliating Facial Scrub Top Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Java Jolt Exfoliating Facial Scrub Opened Top Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Java Jolt Exfoliating Facial Scrub Closup Top

Java Jolt Exfoliating Facial Scrub, 2 oz – Retail Value $15

This facial scrub really is a cup of coffee for your skin- it exfoliates thanks to apricot shell, and it has cocoa powder, coffee, and orange peel oil. This is exactly the kind of scent I want to reach for in the mornings when I need help waking up, and I didn't find it to be too abrasive of an exfoliant (I did make sure not to scrub hard, though). This left my skin incredibly soft, but it was a bit messy.

Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Floral Fantasy Shampoo Bar Front Top Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Floral Fantasy Shampoo Bar Back Top

Floral Fantasy Shampoo Bar, 2 oz – Retail Value $9

This shampoo bar is made with coconut oil, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and silk to help prevent dehydration while washing your hair. I am not one for shampoo bars, but I did find this to be very hydrating as a shampoo. It also didn’t weigh my hair down, and it left it softly scented with notes of jasmine and ylang-ylang.

Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Jasmine Honeysuckle Body Lotion Front Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Jasmine Honeysuckle Body Lotion Opened Top

Jasmine Honeysuckle Body Lotion, 8 oz – Estimated Value $11 (based on other body lotions here)

This lotion is made with hydrating ingredients like sweet almond oil and jojoba oil, and it was incredibly nourishing to my skin. When I applied it to damp skin post-shower it absolutely glided over my skin, and it absorbed quickly. The jasmine honeysuckle scent is light and fresh, and it would be a perfect body lotion to wear when you don’t want your lotion to compete with the scent of perfume you are wearing.

Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Alaskan Breeze Soap Front Top Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Alaskan Breeze Soap Top

Alaskan Breeze Soap, 5 oz – Retail Value $7

This soap is made from a lush blend of oils like olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, and shea butter. The scent is one of my personal favorites in eucalyptus mint, and it made for a refreshing clean with a bit of zing. I am going to take Naturally Vain's suggestion and use this as a post-exercise soap because I think that would feel absolutely wonderful after sweating it out.

Naturally Vain Bath Lovers Club January 2019 - Strawberry Cheesecake Bath Bomb Top

Strawberry Cheesecake Bath Bomb – Estimated Value $5

This bath bomb is a familiar friend to me- I received it in the December Bath Bomb subscription box, and I absolutely adored it. It has a sweet strawberry cheesecake scent, foams up beautifully, and creates some truly epic bath art. Check out photos of this bath bomb in action here.

The Verdict: This was my first month trying the Bath Lovers club, and I am absolutely delighted. I thought the ingredients list for every product was a good one, and I like that you get everything you need for a detailed bath routine. Value-wise, I thought this box had a great value for a bath box with a total value of $47 USD, which is more than the cost of the box plus shipping. If you’re looking for an ingredient-conscious bath and body subscription, I strongly recommend checking this one out.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
