Looks like there is a new line launching called Lovy Byrd. Cute! While it still hasn't launched yet, I am excited to see it and get more info.

Now, on to the items!

Glam Rock Eyeshadow in Star Dust, 2 g – Retail Value $9.00

I am not sure how I feel about this shadow. It is kind of chunky (for lack of a prettier word) in terms of shimmer. It also is a very cool toned shine, which I am not sure is the best compliment for my skin. It is also just not super pigmented in general, and there is quite a lot of fallout from the pan when you use it. I am torn because I generally love shades like this for my browbone, but this one was just not there for me.

Red Square Lipstick, 3.5 g – Retail Value $12.00

This lipstick is RED. It glides on like straight up butter and has a pretty sheen. I am so thrilled it is not matte! It was decently long wearing and if you top it with your favorite balm it works like a jelly stain. Perfection!

Limited Edition Amour Blush, 3 g – Listed Value $14.00

I would never call this a blush myself because it has virtually zero pigmentation. Though it lacks in terms of color payoff, the shimmer is just beautiful. It has this subtle yet bright ice blue/purple flash that surprised me by working really well on my fair skin. It is almost like a micro-shimmer. It makes a great highlight, just probably don't ditch your actual blush.

Super Plush Vegan Blush Brush – Retail Value $9.00

I love a brand new fluffy blush brush! This all black number is super sleek and the gold logo is really luxe. It is also vegan.

Verdict: This month's Medusa's Makeup box has a value of $44.00 which is great for a $16.95 beauty box. Though the eyeshadow was not my cup of tea, I liked the lipstick very much and I am looking forward to playing more with the "blush". The blush brush is really nice and also works well with a general translucent powder. I feel like the options this month were really demure for the usual shades from this sub, but it was a nice change of pace.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes. All orders are generally processed within 1-3 business days. You will receive the box month that you sign up in.

Value Breakdown: This box has a total estimated value of $44.00. At $16.95 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item (not including the bonus bag):

  • Eye Shadow $3.47
  • Lipstick $4.62

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I love a gorgeous red lip, especially if it isn’t matte! I was hoping the shadow would be more silver, but waiting to see it on my too pale skin to see how it looks on me. I was worried the blush would be far too pink for me to carry off and make me look like a doll. Guess I don’t have to worry about that any longer! 🙂

Thanks for the honest review!

I am so tired of matte lipstick! SO happy this wasn’t. The swatch f the shadow on the Medusa page is legit silver metal, but n person it is like snow almost. Hope you have better luck with it! Thanks for reading Twyla! 🙂

I received this God awful Medusa’s lipstick whitish color that makes me look morgue ready in some subscription box. I put it on and was pleasantly surprised by how soft and moisturized my lips felt, their formula for lipsticks are great!

The colors were so bad for the past two months, I finally cancelled. They used to have great shades and formulas, but something not good REALLY
has happened.

They killed their golden goose with the gimmicks.

That nude lipstick was when I cancelled. So ugly. And my makeup always came danaged and melted which is weird and I’ve never seen that with other beauty boxes.

Wonderful customer service though!
