Yogi Surprise is a monthly health and wellness subscription box that sends you natural goodies each month. Some items may be specifically for yoga, but in general, this is more of a lifestyle box. Yogi Surprise also offers a monthly Jewelry box (read our reviews here!) and a men’s box!
This is a review of the Yogi Surprise Lifestyle box, which is $44.95 a month.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Yogi Surprise December 2018 Review
This month the theme was celebrating yoga with friends and family.
There’s a card that outlines a yoga flow to help me live in the present. I like that all of the poses are familiar to me and aren’t too complicated.
Yoga Cubes by Yogi Surprise
These yoga cubes are handy for creating your own yoga sequence when you want to practice but either don’t know what to do or don’t have access to a yoga video. A handy booklet including the names of the poses is included in case you don’t recognize them and need to look them up, and I think the cubes have a good mix of beginner and intermediate poses with a few very challenging poses thrown in to keep things spicy.
Tea Tree and Lemon Balm Lip Care by Badger, 0.15 oz - Retail Value $2.99
This lip balm is made with olive oil, beeswax, tea tree, menthol, peppermint, lemon balm, and Vitamin E. I liked the cooling sensation of the menthol and peppermint, but I think it actually dries out my lips more in the long run. My lips feel nice before the balm wears off, but then they feel even drier after. Does anyone else experience this when menthol or peppermint is in lip balms?
Yerba Mate Green Tea Soap by JOCO Botanicals - Retail Value $7.97
This soap is made with two different types of nut oils and fragrantly smells like lemongrass and ginger. I love the refreshing zing of the scent, and it cleaned me up nicely. This would be great for after a yoga session when freshening up.
Black Crystals Super Charged Extending Mascara by Pacifica, Full-Size! Retail Value $14
This mascara is crystal charged thanks to powdered quartz, and it is made with coconut oil and Vitamin B to nourish your lashes while adding some great length and definition. Pacifica is a cruelty-free beauty company, and their products are free from petroleum, Parabens, SLS, and Phthalates.
Cooling Cleansing Active Wipes by Cuccio, 12 wipes - Estimated Value $4 (buy 3 packs of 12 wipes for $12)
I am OBSESSED with the bath salts from Cuccio that came in a recent FabFitFun box (they smell SO good!), so I actually squealed when I pulled these out of the box. Whether you are looking to refresh after a yoga class or have a lazy girl shower, these wipes will help you clean up while energizing you with the lovely scent of Eucalyptus. As a professional Eucalyptus lover, I have to stop myself from using these just because I want to smell good and not because I am sweaty or unclean.
Chocolate Energy Bar by R.e.d.d., 2.2 oz - Buy a box of 3 bars for $10.47
This bar is made with dark chocolate, agave syrup, vegan protein (a blend of pea and pumpkin seed powder protein), and Yerba Mate extract (to provide the caffeine). One bar provides 10 grams of protein, 8 grams of dietary fiber, and 39 mg caffeine. This is gluten, dairy, and soy free, and it also has 19 different vitamins and minerals. I can’t eat caffeinated food (my stomach is very caffeine sensitive), so I passed this along to a friend who said that while it didn’t taste like a chocolate bar, it wasn’t bad considering the dietary fiber and protein found inside.
Hair Serum with Black Seed Oil by Zatik, 2 oz - Retail Value $14
This hair serum is PACKED with oils- I count jojoba, coconut, and Argan oil just to name a few. My curls absolutely soak this stuff up, and my hair is softer and shinier as a result. If you have thin hair, I would only use a bit and concentrate on applying to the ends of your hair, but if you have hair a la Jessica, slather this stuff on and bask in your healthy hair.
The Verdict: I am a beauty and bath product junkie, so that is what most of the subscription boxes I receive are. Yogi Surprise box is like a breath of fresh air that gives me the tools to be more healthy, mindful, and happy, and I really liked the theme of being present and celebrating the now that was throughout the box. Yogi Surprise promises a value of $85 every month, but I couldn’t get a value for everything. I think this box is on the lower end of values that I have seen, but it was still a nice box.
