Go Bananas Banana Scented Soap, 3.5 oz – Retail Value $6.95
Banana Laffy Taffy is one of my favorite candies of all time, and I was excited to have a bar of soap that smelled that way- but this is not that soap. Rather than smelling like sugary, artificial banana this smells exactly like a fresh, healthy banana. My sweet-loving soul doesn't know how to take it, but regardless of the banana confusion, this is a great bar of soap made with an olive oil base along with coconut oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter.
O’Christmas Tree Apple Balsam Pine Scented Soap, 3.5 oz – Estimated Value $6.95
This looks to be a subscriber-exclusive soap scent, and it deliciously smells like a forest with hints of sweet apple. I love woody scents like balsam and pine (when I had the opportunity to make my own bath salts, those were two of the main scent notes I chose!), and the sweet apple balances it out nicely. This is made with the same soap base of oils and butters, and this also comes with a label that can be planted to sprout California wildflowers!
The Verdict: I am still unsure about that healthy banana-scented soap, but for $12.95 a month, including free shipping, I think this is one of the better, more affordable bath and body subscription boxes out there! The fact that The Soap Shack only uses food-grade quality oils and butter is evident when using the soap. I also being surprised by the scent choices was a rather inexpensive delight (how many times are we actually surprised by items in a subscription box these days considering our need for spoilers?), and it was nice to get an exclusive scent this month, too.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $12.95 and I received two bars of soap. The perk of subscribing vs buying the soaps outright is that shipping is included in the subscription box price, so you are saving a few dollars while still getting high-quality soap!
