Now onto the goodies!
Enjoy Life Foods Breakfast Fruit & Oat Ovals, 1.76oz – Buy a box of 5 for $5.59
I am never disappointed by anything maple flavored! This maple fig breakfast bar would be a substantial and wholesome breakfast on the go, best eaten where you don’t mind leaving a trail of crumbs. This bar is sweet enough to meet my sugar cravings, and it only has 8 grams of sugar, which isn’t too bad for a 220 calorie snack.
Oogie’s Original Kettle Corn, 1oz – Buy 4, 4.45oz bags for $19.95
I must be honest: the man on the packaging reminds me DJ Khaled when I am not looking directly at him, so I might be biased on this review, haha! Oogie’s makes great popcorn; I love how big the pieces are, and I barely had any crumbs at the bottle of the bag. These sticky puffs are delicious and pack a lot of flavor despite having only 4 ingredients, so one could say they win, win, win no matter what.
Popchips Sea Salt Chips, .8oz – Buy a 5oz bag for $3.49
Popchips make some of my favorite snacks. Although the flavor of this bag is just sea salt, it is packed with savory, salty goodness. I would choose these over any plain chip found at the grocery store, and this bag is only 100 calories.
This version of a peanut M&M is more smooth, chocolatey and definitely feels healthier. There are no artificial colors or flavors, and I love that you can taste a hint of saltiness from the sea-salted peanuts.
SnackSack has a Vanilla Chai flavor listed in their info for this snack, but the version they sent to me is the White Cheddar Jalapeño; I am not disappointed in the slightest. These puffs are delicious! A hint of heat and a zesty cheddar flavor really come through in this snack, and 22 puffs are 130 calories with 2 grams of protein. Not bad! I couldn’t find these to purchase online, but I think they are a newer item, so hopefully, they will be available soon.
This snack screams holiday gift basket to me, and I was surprised to see them in this month’s box since I never knew these were a more natural treat. Pirouline has been around since 1860 and is the only national rolled wafer made in America. Facts! This is a treat yourself kind of snack, with two wafers adding up to 130 calories and 12 grams of sugar, but they are worth the indulgence.
Supereats High Protein Vegan Puffs, 1oz – Buy a case of 12 for $25
Best new find this month! Puffs are my very favorite of savory snack categories, and these are just bursting with chipotle flavor. I love the sweet bbq twist, and the crunch goes above and beyond. Did I mention this bag has 8 grams of plant-based protein?? Needless to say, I need to try each flavor – the Truffle Rosemary flavor is especially piquing my interest.
Belgian Boys Stroopwafel Caramel Waffle, 2.68oz – Buy a box of 15 for $20.99
SnackSack does it again; Belgian Boys are the best! Their stroopwafels are the first treats I’ve tried from them, thanks to POPSUGAR Must Have, and they are to die for. My favorite way to enjoy is pictured above, which involves a hot cup of black tea warming up the gooey caramel inside. YUM!
Brother’s All Natural Freeze Dried Strawberries, .26oz – Buy a 6 pack of 1oz bags for $21.99
Freeze dried fruit, in my opinion, is so expensive, and I’d much rather bite into a fresh, juicy strawberry; however, this snack is a delicious addition to cereal, oatmeal and trail mix. These tart strawberries melt in your mouth and contain zero additives, preservatives, or artificial coloring.
Hubs Peanuts Power Peanut Pack, 1oz – Buy a box of 20 here for $22.95
Salty, giant peanuts like these from Hubs are such an underrated snack. This 0 sugar snack is a good source of protein and tasted especially delicious after a rich dessert.
Nibmor Tart Cherry Dark Chocolate Bar, 1oz – Buy a box of 12 for $19.99
Another amazing find! Cherry + chocolate is a match made in heaven, which Nibmor successfully demonstrates in this delightful bar. The rich smooth flavor is all thanks to their 100% natural cherries and 52% cacao. This chocolate bar is non-GMO and gluten-free, too!
Nature’s Bakery makes the very best fig bars, and I also love these brownies SnackSack sampled this month. Usually, brownies that are marketed as healthy taste healthy, but these are delicious! Soft, chocolatey and best served warm (with ice cream), these are one of my go-tos for a chocolate fix, minus the guilt, with each brownie (there are two in a pack) containing 90 calories.
These crackers tasted buttery, but mostly the flavor fell a little flat alone; these would be the perfect cracker to pair with a delicious cheese or dip. I couldn’t find these to purchase online, but I think they are a newer item, so hopefully, they will be available soon.
Verdict: SnackSack really nailed it this month; I found a new favorite chocolate bar by Nibmor, a new puff addiction thanks to Lundberg and revisiting stroopwafels from Belgian Boys was perfection. I always look forward to trying snacks from the new, awesome brands SnackSack samples every month, and with each snack, I know I am eating something healthier and more nourishing than most of your everyday, processed snacks found at the grocery store.
