We received a little booklet with a product list as well as some handy tips on keeping warm during winter activities and camping. There is also a social media challenge on the back with some brand discount codes.

Quickheat Rechargeable Handwarmer and Power Bank by Survival Frog – Retail Value $29.97 (found here for $19.93)

This might be a dream item for someone who is always cold during the winter, especially in my hands and feet! This handy hand warmer also doubles as a battery bank for your phone, meaning if you find yourself out in the cold with a dead phone, your life just got much better. This little thing gets REALLY hot!

Richer Poorer Crew Socks

These socks are pretty sharp! I like the black with the marble striping. They feel like a good quality knit, and the fiber composition is 69% polyester, 15% cotton, 8% elastic, 5% nylon, and 3% spandex. While I could not find these on the Richer Poorer site, the average cost of socks on their site is between $12-14. These might be men’s socks but I see them being the perfect complement to my favorite winter boots.

Nomadik Turbo Beanie

I have been on the hunt for the PERFECT winter beanie, ever since my husband took his back from me. Rude. Nomadik has me covered with this grey one. It is one of those perfect shades that seems to go with everything, and it very stretchy. It feels incredibly lightweight to the touch, which made me a little skeptical of its warmth, but the fibers really do hold warmth. It is also very stretchy, which I a good thing because I have a large noggin. I like the extra room at the end for that slouchy look.

Verdict: Nomadik sent us a trio of really useful items this winter. I absolutely love the portable hand warmer! I plan on using it a lot this season when we go ice fishing or for when I am just freezing on my couch at home. #alwayscold. The beanie is perfect for me in terms of fit and color. We never have enough socks in my house, so they are always appreciated! While I could not find the actual retail value of most of the items, I do feel like this was a great assortment for a $32.95 box.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. They heavily promoted this holiday box on social media and promised $70 in value. Clearly it is nowhere close to that. A lot of people posted negative comments on facebook and instead of addressing it, they simply deleted the comments. Not a great way to do business.

    • It was absolutely hard to value since I couldn’t find any retail info on the beanie and the socks were also something I couldn’t directly link to. Makes it a challenge!
