Enchanted Crystal January 2019 curator note

First, you’ll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. Adam and Galen will be headed to the Tucson Gem Show (an event that is on my personal bucket list!) and he suggests that if you have any special requests in boxes this year that you let him know.

Enchanted Crystal January 2019 rose quartz info

Our specimen this month is rose quartz, one of my favorites! Let’s take a peek.

Rose Quartz

This double terminated rose quartz wand is so incredibly beautiful. I am in love! I don’t have anything like this in my collection so it is something I am very excited to have. Rose quartz is one of the most popular stones for good reason. In addition to being a gorgeous blush stone, it also is said to have many healing properties. It is a comforting stone, said to enhance love and healing. It also is a stone of love, so if you are looking for a new love or wanting to strengthen an already existing bond, this is a wonderful stone to keep nearby. Even if you aren’t into crystal vibrations or metaphysical properties, this is a fascinating choice to add to any collection. This particular piece is double terminated, and I am guessing it has been cut since rose quartz crystals are never found alone, but rather in large groups and clusters (which is especially fitting for a love/friendship stone) and then broken apart. This quartz is sensitive to light, so be sure to keep it out of direct sun, wherever you choose to display it!

Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well. This month I received three stones.

Black Tourmaline

This is a big-time protection stone! Dark and handsome, this black tourmaline is valued for its striking dark shade and for its really rather unique properties, such as pyroelectricity. This basically means that the stone is capable of creating a small amount of voltage when heated or cooled. It has its own naturally occurring electrical field.

Carnelian

Known as the singer’s crystal, this stone is said to help people find their voice and stimulate bold action in times of indecisiveness. It is also just a really beautiful color to see in any crystal collection.

Rough Smokey Laser Quartz

This quartz is used by main for its healing properties. I really like the roughness of this small specimen!

Verdict: Enchanted Crystal continues to be one of my favorite subscriptions. I am consistently delighted by the pieces sent by this team and I look forward to it every month. This absolutely a crystal/mineral collectors subscription, as not every piece sent is really remarkable for its appearance alone and much of the value is in the informative/educational info sheet send with the stones. But if you are an avid rock-hound you will be delighted each month and likely learn something new each time it arrives!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but sign up today to receive February’s crystal of the month.

Sign up on or before the 5th of the month to get the current month’s box! All orders processed after the 5th will ship the following month. We ship between the 5th and 8th of each month.

Value Breakdown: For $16.00, I received four crystals making each cost $4.00 which I think is more than fair for this subscription. The rose quartz want itself was worth more than that to me!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Candy corn carnelian!

  2. That carnelian is beautiful!

    • It is a gorgeous color. It makes me want a big one someday soon.. Just what I need!

  3. Funny thing. I got the rose quartz above last month, but the same carnelian, tourmaline and laser quartz this month. My main crystal is a beautiful red obsidian double terminated like the rose quartz. I love it so! Great review BTW!
