Zenpop Stationery info sheet front Zenpop Stationery info sheet back

The ZenPop’s info sheet is really helpful since a lot of the packaging isn’t in English. It gives you a rundown of each item and this month’s theme is the “Winter Magic.”

Winter Washi Tape

Washi tape is always something that makes me smile! I love the little deer on this month’s roll. It actually reminds me very much of my backyard because it is wooded and filled with deer who we hand-feed snacks to in the summer and leave out corn for in the winter. We always have multiple fawns born each spring in our flower bed. I plan on using this deer filled winter scene to seal my holiday cards this year.

Winter Ippitsusen

I love anything with a celestial theme or star print. This little ‘Star Bear’ is darling! Ippitsusen literally translates to “one stroke paper”, and these are meant for little notes for yourself, kind of like our version of a post-it note, but without the sticky part and SO MUCH CUTER. I love you Star Bear.

Kokuyo Harinacs No Staple Stapler – Retail Value $4.95

I admittedly had no idea what this thing was and thought it was just meant for leaving boring arrows on notes. This is why the info sheet is so helpful! This genius little contraption is actually a staple-less stapler! It binds your papers together by punching a little arrow and then folding the layers of the arrows back against each other. I found it worked best when I used under 5 sheets of paper and chose a spot close to the edge of the papers. I need to save many receipts when I travel, so this is a great little device for my purse.

Kokuyo Beetle Tip Highlighter – Buy a 5 color set for $7.43

This was a really cool idea but took a basic highlighter a little too far for me. The idea is that you have three different sized tips in one marker, which I don’t see using much in my daily life. It might make more sense for someone in school who likes specific highlighter weights, or someone who is very into super unique basics. I do find the marker pretty fascinating though, and it will certainly be a conversation starter at work.

Sakura Knock Ball Pen – Buy a multi-colored pack of 5 for $6.87

I was a gel-pen collector in middle school and I still love these little guys! This is the slim adult version, with a clicky retractable tip which saves you from losing a cap and then writing all over the inside of your purse. The ink is bold and glittery, making all of your signatures and notes extra fancy.

2019 Desk Calendar

2019 is the year of the boar and also a very important year in Japan because their emperor will be abdicating the throne in April. With such an exciting and growth-filled year ahead of us, I am glad I will have this cute little calendar to keep track of my days and weeks. If you were born in the years 2007, 1983, 1971, 1959, 1947, 1935, 1923, 1911 you are a boar sign, so you should expect to have an especially lucky year!

Otoshidama Pochi-bukuro

These adorable mini envelopes are used to give money to children from their parents and relatives on New Year’s day. I will be using them for adorable gift card holders this year for Christmas. I think the little pigs on them are so cute!

Doggy One Point Markers

We have now come to my FAVORITE item this month: 150 tiny little puppy tags for organizing my planner! I have never seen an office supply in my entire life that is this cute! Each tab has a different puppy on rainbow colored tabs that make organizing your life as cute as freaking possible. I wish I could find these online to link to because I would buy about 27 more packs. Just looking at them makes me instantly happy. They don’t always stick that well depending on the paper you put them on, but let’s not even bother to pretend that I care.

More dogs to love! This pack has 10 different pupper illustrations that each symbolize something lucky. Even without any extra luck, I am loving the dog items this month! They are a perfect finale to the 2018 Year of the Dog.

Winter Letter Set

These charming cards have a monkey and duck pal relaxing in an onsen. From the info sheet included this month, I learned that in East Asia it is traditional to break the year up into 24 total seasons. Imagine spring, summer, fall, and winter broken up into 6 micro-seasons each and you get the idea. This stationery has 24 variations to reflect this tradition. While I am not sure which of the 24 seasons our monkey and duck friends specifically represent, I absolutely love the illustrations and cannot wait to send out some notes on this set.

BONUS: Kiguru-Me Eraser

This eraser smells like fruity candy and features an adorable little penguin in festive apple hat.

Verdict: Well, I might now be totally obsessed with the ZenPop Stationery Pack. These hyper- kawaii items are just the ticket to making letter writing and organizing cute and fun! I loved every single item in the pack this month, especially Star Bear and the puppies. The variety of items was also wonderful. I really can’t wait until next month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, January will be your first box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.50 + free shipping, which means that each of the 10 items in the box (not including the bonus) has an average cost of $2.95.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. I know this is late but if you’re still looking for the one point marker post it thingies try Daiso. I always get the kitten and bear markers there 🙂

  2. I love the non-stapler idea. I need one. Never saw that before. This is a very cute month of items.

    • I had never seen one either! It is really handy!
