Monthly XIO Bag December 2018 Review
The theme of this month’s box is “It’s Lit,” presenting subscribers with a range of newly released, vibrant accessories.
On the back of the info card, XIO lists each item featured as well as what each piece is made of and its retail value. All pieces this month are made of gold-plated 925 sterling silver, except for the bracelet, which is composed of gold plated brass.
Emerald Dangle Necklace - Retail Value $55
Delicate gold chokers are my absolute favorite accessory, and I love the alternating dangling gems on this necklace. What a great layering piece, too! The chain on this necklace measures 18 inches long with a 4-inch extension, so you have lots of length options to choose from.
Rainbow Bar Necklace - Retail Value $55
Oo I can’t stop staring at the beautiful colors. When the light hits the multicolored baguette crystals on this necklace, it is like a miniature rainbow right on your chest, forcing the “It’s Lit” theme to really come to life! The bar measures about 1.5 inches and the chain comes to 19 inches, including a 4-inch extension. I prefer wearing my necklaces pretty close to my neck, and I’ve also been experimenting with laying different styles, so I appreciate the option to wear a piece at different lengths.
Rainbow Huggies - Retail Value $40
These snug huggies are exactly the earrings I’ve been looking for. I love the look of a few of these hoops together, and now I am contemplating ordering another pair so I can wear them as pictured above. How beautiful! I am also impressed that this pair fits so comfortably, and they don’t pinch or dangle at all.
Colorful Tennis Bracelet - Retail Value $35
XIO made accessorizing easy this month by presenting us with a complete outfit of coordinating pieces! This colorful bracelet sports a sliding closure, which is the easiest, in my opinion, to put on myself, and I love the look of this style, too! The two gold tassels end with two faceted metal balls that keep the bracelet from dismantling. This bracelet will fit wrists of all sizes and will add lots of color to a dull winter day.
The Verdict: I anxiously awaited December’s Monthly XI0 Bag, following spoilers on XIO’s Instagram, and I felt tantalized by this bright jewelry for the last couple of weeks - especially since I loved November’s box so much! I felt this box was custom made for me, since I love delicate gold jewelry so much, and the bold hues featured are such a different approach to your typical holiday accessories -- I love it! I am also impressed that each piece coordinates and can be combined to create a chic, cohesive look. XIO is innovative, and I am looking forward to seeing the styles featured in the January box.
