Unicorn Dream Box November 2018 Review
Our box included a card that listed all of the items in our box and their values.
Jellyroll Unicorn Plush – Retail Value $6.99, Listed Value $14.00
This cute little plush is so in-theme with the box and my almost-eight-year-old, Bella, loved it!
She is pink with yellow and blue spots with a silver horn and glittery pink eyes. The only thing that bummed me out about this adorable plush was her horn was deformed. There is more stuffing at the bottom of the horn making the top of the horn a little bendy. It doesn’t make her any less cuddle-able though.
Decorative Unicorn Light – Retail Value $13.95, Listed Value $16.00
This was a pretty cool item in the box, probably our favorite! It is pink and naturally matches everything in Bella’s room. It’s got 10 medium-sized yellow light bulbs. She can stand on a shelf or hang on a wall.
It takes 2 AA batteries and when lit, lights up a good part of the room without being too bright. Definitely makes a great nightlight!
Holy-moly magical stickers! We got rainbow stickers, unicorns in rainbow stickers, unicorns with rainbow hair stickers.
Shooting rainbow stars stickers, unicorns outlined in gold stickers.
We even got out-of-this-world unicorn stickers! I think y’all get the idea 😊 The galaxy shaped unicorn with stars are my favorites.
Unicorn Ornament – Listed Value $7.50
This came at the perfect time! She is a white unicorn with purple, pink and light blue rainbow hair and tail with golden hooves and horn. She sits atop white clouds and in front big golden stars. It does seem handmade, though, as the paint on her golden hooves goes over the clouds.
Smiley Rainbow Keychain – Listed Value $6.00
This was pretty cute; I like the smiley face on the clouds. Its got a leather-like feel and is also a little plushy. I like how it has two different ways to attach to something; a traditional key loop and a clasp for those (pointing to myself) who sometimes don’t get along with traditional key rings. It’s a little small, though, and I am not sure I would spend a whole six bucks on it alone. I intend to hang this on the diaper bag for my 5-month-old since her whole nursery theme is magical unicorns.
Glittery Unicorn Bouncy Ball – Listed Value $3.00
My kids love bouncy balls and Bella especially loved this one. I, on the other hand, don’t really love them because though small, they can make a big uh-uh especially if they have good bounce. Somehow bouncy balls get, uhm, lost when we receive them. This one is a good size for our kitty cat though and he will have a ball with it! Ha!
Rainbow Mini Lolli & Unicorn Candy Bracelet – Listed Value $2.50
Ah, this Unicorn Dream Box would be incomplete without some magical sugar. The lolli was a standard mini lollipop and was gone within minutes.
Bella did try to make the bracelet last as an accessory but she couldn’t resist! It fit her little wrist perfectly, without pulling too tight or being too loose.
Verdict: Unicorn Dream Box was genuinely a fun box to unveil with my daughters, even though my youngest is so tiny. Bella oohed and ahhed at each item as they were removed from the box and literally jumped for joy at the sight of the lamp (she is still scared to sleep in total darkness.) I consider the “big” item in this box to be the light and have the most value, which the card with values also supports. But the ornament and plush are cheaper items and the rest remind me of items we would get in a party favor bag.
Maybe it’s just this box, but for a box that is almost $50 ($39.95 + $6.50 shipping), I want to see more items with value. Combining retail and listed values, I received $45.43 worth of products and consider the candy bonus items. We received a total of 6 items (again, not counting candy), so that means we are paying approximately $7.75 for each item.
