This month, I received Scentbird’s “Scent of the Month.” You can either opt for the scent of the month or you can fill a queue with fragrances of your choosing.

Bella by Vince Camuto – Estimated Value $7.20 (buy 3.5 fl oz for $90)

I have tried a lot of Vince Camuto fragrances thanks to free gifts with purchase and subscription boxes, though this one was new to me. This one is from 2014 and comes from the same collection as Fiori, which I tried in Scent Box last month.

To me, this one is actually way more floral than Fiori, despite the name (which means “flowers” in Italian). It’s also less complex, with fewer notes. It has an amber base with nectarine blossom and jasmine as well as bergamot. I like the amber and I think the bergamot works with the other notes, but this is a little too flowery for my taste and I will probably only reach for it rarely. (Your mileage may vary based on your body chemistry and your own personal preferences.)

Verdict: The estimated value of my fragrance this month is $7.20, which is about half the month-to-month cost of the subscription. Your value will depend entirely on what fragrance you choose and if you care to do the math beforehand, you can come out pretty well. For me, though, this is more about discovering fragrances that will work for me, and if they have a bit of a lower value, I can deal with that. Anyway, this fragrance, while not necessarily the best fit for me, was one I had not tried before and I do enjoy experiencing new scents.

  1. Man reading all these issues make me really second thinking signing up. I was super excited to sign up but am now going to wait a few months to see if they figure their sh!t out.

  2. I ordered 3 at a time on dec 1st and my package still has not shipped. I canceled my subscription because I’m not going to keep paying almost $40 every month for my perfume to sit in their warehouse. Once they fix this issue maybe I’ll resubscribe but I see a majority of people who comment on this service are experiencing the same thing.

  3. I got a surprise shipment from Scentbird with this scent, and I really like it! My November shipment arrived, then I received this one 4 days later (cue eye roll).

    • OK, that’s what happened to me too, so I just assumed this was December.

  4. I keep seeing influencers promoting this company and seem to never have an issue with Scentbird, but real people are have real issues! I subscribed early last month. They “shipped my order” on the 17th? I never received it and the tracking number I was given shows it is on its way to the post office. It is over a month later and after emailing costumer service a few weeks ago, I received a reply today. They informed me that my order is still be processed. Regardless of having a new shipping facility, if they took my money, it should not take over a month to process an order.. it didn’t take more than half a second to take my money!

    • same with me. sent me a different product thaan i chose. my replacement was also wrong!!

    • I feel so bad for the people who aren’t having good luck with Scentbird. I’ve been a subscriber for almost three years and have had nothing but great experiences with their customer service. Hopefully they can get everything worked out for all their subscribers.
