Quirky Crate November 2018 Box Review

Quirky Crate product list

Quirky Crate artist card

Hooray! It's Quirky Crate time! Each box includes a card with a product list and some details on an artist featured in the box.

Quirky Crate pink pin

Quirky Crate pink heart emoji pin

Glitter Enamel Pin - Listed Value $10.00

This is one of my favorite emojis! I love the twinkly heart—it feels a little more special than a standard red or pink heart, y'know? This pin features bright colors, a gold setting, and best of all, glitter!

Quirky Crate cupcake shaped bag

Quirky Crate cupcake purse

Quirky Crate cupcake purse

Cupcake Bag - Listed Value $28.00

This faux-leather bag really does look like a cupcake! I think the shiny rainbow sprinkles on top are my favorite part. I wish the strap was a bit different—it's that snake-y kind of metal chain that has a habit of pinching. It's detachable, though, so maybe I'll swap it out, or just use this strawberry-pink bag as a clutch.

Quirky Crate pom pom hat

Quirky Crate heart hat

Quirky Crate black heart hat

Quirky Girl Knit Hat - Listed Value $22.00

This hat is super cute and cozy. It's got a bit of the punky edge that I would've been all over in high school. And now, as a 31-year-old? Oh yeah, no shame rocking this look all over again! I will say it feels a little pricey to mark it at $22.00. (I don't know if I've ever bought a beanie for $22.00...)

Quirky Crate items on model

Here's me modeling both of our accessories this month!

Quirky Crate happy news

Quirky Crate everyday heroes

Quirky Crate article

Quirky Crate print

The Happy News - Listed Value $5.00

It used to be that the artist-designed item in each box was the enamel pin. Now, they've started offering non-pin items by featured indie artists, including this mini-newspaper by Emily Coxhead. I loved flipping through this colorful collection of good news, fun stories, and short pieces about cool organizations and positive thoughts to put into the world.

Quirky Crate patch

Quirky Crate you can sit with us patch

You Can Sit with Us Patch - Listed Value $6.00

The black and gold palette of this quirky conversation heart is right up my alley. Being that I'm not awesome with a needle and thread, I love that it only requires an easy iron-on application. And the fact that it carries on the positive vibes of the Happy News newspaper is cute, too.

Quirky Crate tack stoppers

Quirky Crate stoppers

Quirky Crate pin backings

Locking Pin Backs - Listed Value $6.00

Being that this is such a pin-heavy subscription box, I think it's perfect that they included this set of super-secure pin backs in this box. Most of the stoppers that they include with their pins are pretty darn reliable, but I like having the extra bit of security that these tight-fitting pin backs provide.

Quirky Crate red sword socks

Quirky Crate sock package

Quirky Crate dagger socks

Quirky Crate dnd socks

Quirky Crate sword socks

Sword Socks - Listed Value $9.00

These socks rule! They're on the thin side, for sure, but I love the tiny sword pattern. I know what I'm wearing the next time I play D&D!

Quirky Crate pink fuzzy pen

Quirky Crate pom pom on pen

Quirky Crate pink pen

Quirky Crate pen writing

Fur Ball Pen - Listed Value $4.25

I love the scratchy feel of this pen against the paper. The puffy pom pom dances around as I write—sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's a little annoying. Luckily, there's a little clasp that lets me remove the pom pom if I'm not feeling it. I can even give it a totally new home on a zipper pull or keychain if I want.

The Verdict: I like seeing the unique new ways Quirky Crate is highlighting indie designers. AND I'm glad they still provide an enamel pin each month! The vibe of this box is always so upbeat and fun, but this month's was even more sweet and positive. The box has long been an awesome treat for myself, but wow, can you imagine a better care package for someone you love?!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, but hurry! Order by the 13th of the month to get that month's box. Boxes ship of the 15th of each month.
