PinkSeoul Mask Box November 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out what your skin type is!
Here is the info sheet for the month.
Hyggee All in One Tightening and Firming Mask – Retail Value $5
This mask has ear holes which I absolutely love. Masks with ear holes always fit my face really well and I feel like the serum is being forcibly pressed into my face, which is something I am down for. This has great ingredients like niacinamide and Centella Asiatica extract, two items my skin absolutely loves. Unfortunately, the material on this mask wasn't a good fit for me, and I took it off after a few minutes because the thicker cotton made my face itch.
Leaders Ex Solution Lifting Shield Gold Foil Mask – Retail Value $5
I love these gold foil masks from leaders- they are actually made with gold foil! I find foil masks to be very comfortable to wear, and these masks are never too saturated with the serum that it drips everywhere. I don’t know if my skin was “lifted” after using, but it definitely felt hydrated and happy.
The Saem Secret Pure Rosy Lips Gel Patch – Retail Value $4
I love a good lip mask- they really help my lips soak in moisture if I apply a lip mask before the patch. I had good luck with this one staying put as I wore it too, so I didn’t have to lay down to enjoy it. This had a light rose scent that I found pleasant, but your mileage may vary.
JM Solution Lacto Saccharomyces Golden Rice Mask – Retail Value $3
This was a fun mask that had the sheet mask in essence and a separate pouch with a different serum that you mixed together before wearing by popping the bottom pouch. I am not sure how well the two liquids actually mixed, though. This smelled a little funky (most likely due to the fermented rice), and I found the mask to be so saturated that it dripped down my neck. After my 20 minutes of wearing this mask, I made the decision that this does, in fact, smell like wine.
Innisfree Real Squeeze Mask in Ginseng – Retail Value $2
This sheet mask is made from eucalyptus fibers which made it flexible and comfortable to wear. The serum is made with ginseng extract as well as Centella, peony root extract, and aloe vera. I don’t know if it brought vitality to my skin the way the description claims, but I was happy with the hydration it gave my skin as well as the touch of brightness.
Seantree Mask Sheet in Green Tea – Retail Value $2
Green tea is a great ingredient for sensitive skin as well as oily skin, so this was a great pick for my skin type by the Pink Seoul Team. This was pretty basic in terms of performance but it did a solid job for the low price point.
Berrisome Animal Mask in Blackberry – Retail Value $3
Berrisome Animal Mask in Snail – Retail Value $3
Just like I hoped, these animal sheet masks are designed to look actually like animal faces. The blackberry mask, also known as the PANDA, is designed to help clear and brighten skin, while the snail (aka the MONKEY) is to provide extra nutrients to your moisture barrier. Both types are incredibly hydrating and perfect for taking a slightly cute, slightly creepy selfie, so I am all on board.
The Saem Natural Mask in Oatmeal – Listed Value $3
The Saem Natural Mask in Tea Tree – Listed Value $3
These sheet masks are so thin they are almost translucent and they hug the contours of my face like a glove. Both were hydrating and gentle on my skin, with the oatmeal designed to be more skin soothing and the tea tree designed to help balance oil. I have liked almost all of The Saem products I have tried, so I am not surprised I enjoyed these.
The Saem Kissaholic Lipstick, Full-Size! – Retail Value $11
This bright red-orange lipstick has a semi-matte finish and is nourishing thanks to the multiple kinds of butter used in the formula (shea butter, cacao seed butter, and babassu seed butter). This would be a good lipstick to wear in these colder months while the winter air tries to suck all of the moisture from our bodies because this won’t be as dry as a fully matte lip.
The Verdict: Pink Seoul is one of my favorite subscriptions because of how personalized the boxes are- you really get products chosen specifically for your skin type. That is important because with this subscription you are paying for good-quality masks to be chosen to fit your skincare needs. This comes in at $3 a mask, which isn't too crazy, but there are more affordable options out there. However, I don't think there are many other (if any) sheet mask subscriptions that send out masks based on your skincare concerns. This month's box has a total value of $44, which is on par for the normal value of this box.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, the November box is no longer available.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.95 and I calculated a value of $44. That means you are paying approximately $2.72 per item.
