  1. Definitely watch out… I ordered the 1 year sub through Gilt and received notice that the November box satisfies my subscription and that January will be charged. Ummm…no. I have 4 more boxes I paid for!! I’ve emailed and been told they had issues when they migrated their lists, but that it would be taken care of. That was 3 weeks ago and no update…. ugh !!

  2. BUYERS BEWARE! I am so mad at this company right now! I signed up for their box on November 10th but I still hadn’t received a shipping notice when everyone else has already received their November box as of today,December 3rd.

    The only reason I signed up is because I liked the watch spoiler and on their site as of November 10th it said “When you sign up today, your first box will start with our November 2018 box shipping between November 15th-30th”. I even took a screenshot of that page just in case any issues should arise (I sub to enough boxes to have gone through that mess before with companies saying I didn’t sign up for a specific month). My screenshot shows that it was taken November 10th at 1:15am from my iphone.

    After trying to contact them by email with no response (the emails I sent were dated November 25th and December 1st) I finally received an email back today stating that when I signed up I signed up for the January box, but that they may have some leftover November boxes and that if I’d like they would send me over an invoice to purchase one of those as an additional box. Um, WHAT??????? How about no, you send me the box I originally signed up for or give me a refund?! I’ve sent them another email with the screenshot showing I was supposed to get November, not January, but they haven’t responded. I am going to give them a couple days and if they try to tell me they aren’t sending me a box til January I’m filing a dispute with my bank because I have proof I was supposed to receive November’s box!

    • There’s no excuse for them to not have their site information up to date since they changed the site recently too.

      I hope you’re able to get the box you paid for if not I’d use the screenshots to dispute the charge. I’ve been burned and I screenshot orders and cancellations now too.

    • I have the watch up for swap if you are still wanting it. I don’t wear watches for my work, so this is up for grabs!

      • Thank you for the offer! They actually got back to me today after I sent them the screenshot showing the date and time it was taken to prove I was supposed to get the November box and said that they will ship the November box to me right away, so they are making it right after all, yay!

  3. I am sad with every box I see that gilt cancelled my order after the sale had ended and wouldn’t let me buy it. These would have been amazing at the annual price for the gilt deal.

    • I never got my Gilt deal either. I ordered it right away and my credit card was charged but I never received my voucher. They couldn’t find my order and ended up saying they had to cancel my order and issue credit. It took months and numerous emails to resolve. I was really bummed!

    • The exact same thing happened to me! However, I’m a long way away from being willing to give Gilt or Luxor any money ever again!!

  4. I had the Gilt deal for 2 boxes..Sept & Nov….today they tried to bill my CC $139…if you had the Gilt deal you might want to check if you’ve been charged. They told me the Gilt deal started a subscription….I guess that’s why they asked for everyone’s credit card info before they could ship Nov boxes

    • Did you update your cc info? I never did and they said I was all set for November and it would not charge again. Thanks for posting.

    • Yes it did start a sub, I have my calendar marked to cancel after January ships.

      • I thought they did not charge until the 9th of the month of the boxes shipping? They did try to charge me and I got an email saying it was unsuccessful. This is so shady and I will not deal with Luxor again. I emailed them recently and was told not to worry that I would not be charged and that my sub was done with November and if I chose to continue I would have to start fresh.

        • I got “billed” today for January so I guess I can cancel anytime now since this is my last gilt.

        • Same with me. I’m glad I gave them a mental middle finger when they started asking for payment information from GC voucher holders. I would have been charged for another box a few days ago without any warning. I’m glad I got the two boxes with the Gilt sub because it was a great deal, but unless a future box has $1 million cash in it, I don’t think I’ll ever deal with them again.

    • Yes, they told us all that it did start a sub. I emailed and canceled right after my Nov. box shipped.
