Skinstore Jurlique roses! Skinstore Jurlique collab info

You know when you were a kid and your parents made you keep busy with school activities and clubs? Well while my peers were playing varsity soccer, cheering, or in choir, I was the president of our school’s rose club. I was also our only member. I love roses.

We have arrived at the rose garden. Let’s dive in!

Skinstore Jurlique hand cream Skinstore Jurlique hand cream back

Rose Hand Cream, 0.5 oz – Estimated Value $7.04 (Buy the Full-Size 40ml here for $19.00)

This little tube of hand cream is the perfect size for my purse. It smells of pure roses but doesn’t overshadow my perfume. It is a great formula for winter as it is heavier, but not greasy or oily.

Skinstore Jurlique lotion Skinstore Jurlique liton back

Rose Moisture Plus Lotion, 1.7 fl oz – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $45.50

This moisturizer has a much more reserved scent than the other rose products in this box. It actually smells quite a lot like black tea! It is very lightweight and has quite the pedigreed list of ingredients such as rose hip oil, honey, beeswax, and shea butter. I applied it under my makeup (I usually skip a primer) and everything set just fine on top and stayed in place all day. My skin looked very hydrated and dewy. This is not heavy enough for me to use at night with my dry skin, but during the day it is a winner in my book.

Skinstore Jurlique balancing mist Skinstore Jurlique balancing mist back

Rosewater Balancing Mist, 3.3 fl oz  – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $38.00

Toners are admittedly the one skin care step that I often neglect unless it is the height of summer and I have been storing them in my fridge to beat the heat. They are important because they add hydration and therefore allow you to use less product after application, which saves mad $$$. Toners are the unspoken all-stars of your routine! This one is pure roses and moisture. It is super refreshing and you can fake a super dewy look by lightly spraying it on top of your finished makeup look

Skinstore Jurlique serum Skinstore Jurlique serum back

Nutri Define Superior Retexturising Facial Serum, 0.17 fl oz – Estimated Value $22.10 (Buy the Full-Size 1 oz for $130.00)

I cannot hit my pillow without a serum on my face. At some point after hitting 30, I became convinced that without serum, I would immediately turn into a wrinkly hag woman who looked like an old leather bag. This is probably only partially true, but I am always on the lookout for my next favorite serum. Although this is one I would never be able to afford, I appreciate this little sample. While it is small, a little serum goes a long way, especially if you try an essence before application (more on that further down). This serum promises big things and has reviews to back it up. I hope to have lost a few years from my face by the end of this tube. Do I look 21 yet?

Skinstore Jurlique body oil Skinstore Jurlique body oil bottle

Rose Body Oil, 3.3 fl oz – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $48.00

I love body oils but they generally just make a huge mess because so much product comes out once you tip it to grab some. This bottle has an essential oil style dropper, which means only a few drops come our readily and you have to be a little more patient. This is genius. No longer do I have to fear an entire handful of oil when all I wanted were those few drops. This oil smells like in your freaking face roses and I am totally here for it. I like to use it right out of the shower on my arms and legs and find that even though this oil is rich, it absorbs pretty quickly if I am thoroughly towel dried. This ultra-hydrating oil gets its powers from a blend of safflower oil, macadamia seed oil, and jojoba oil. These oil all stars are the perfect blend to showcase the rose scent without interfering with it.

Skinstore Jurlique essence Skinstore Jurlique essence back Skinstore Jurlique essence detail

Activating Water Essence, 0.33 fl oz – Estimated Value $3.63 (Buy 150mL here for $55.00)

Essences are one of my new skincare obsessions. Until this year I had never even heard of them in any meaningful way, much less tried any. I am currently using the Amore Pacific Vintage Single Extract Essence from my Amore Pacific Limited Edition Glossy Box and I love it because it is a great calming step before I apply serum and then moisturizer. Gotta find those extra steps to give your skin even more hydration and make it even softer! It is also a step in your skincare routine that helps the products you apply after absorb better. I actually need less serum and moisturizer after using an essence because my skin is already hydrated and ready. I am down for anything that extends the life of my expensive products. I hope that I like this freshly scented essence just as much!

The Verdict: This box was a rose lovers dream. If you don’t like roses, well… I had never tried any Jurlique products and so far I am more than impressed. Each of these products is exquisite, and I cannot wait to test their might against my dry winter complexion. I am not sharing a single bit of this box with anyone, and I feel zero guilt. My favorite items would have to be the essence, the balancing mist, and the body oil, though picking favorites was extremely difficult. This box also boasts an astounding estimated $164.26 value. For a $55 box, that is great!  Even though it may be a cold cold winter, I will be sitting here glowing and smelling like spring.

The Wrap Up

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Sadly no, this box is sold out, but there are a few other samplers in the SkinStore online shop.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Jurlique’s rose water mist is by far my most favorite mist I’ve used. I love anything rose scented, so just the smell alone as I spray it feels like an experience, but it’s also really hydrating & soothing too! I would have loved to try that body oil and essence, but I was in a “I’m going to be good and not get this box since I have so many other great stuff to use up” moment when it came out, so I passed. Of course after reading the review, I sort of have I-didn’t-buy-it remorse, but I think I’ll just have to dig into my stash for a great rose body oil and essence I’m sure I already have to make myself feel better for missing out on it. 🙂

    • Luna! You did what now 👂🏿?
Color me shocked cause you’re always a step ahead of me when it comes to scoring awesome products.

      • Haha!!! I swear the timing couldn’t have been any worse for the angel on the shoulder to kick some sense into me to actually *think* about my beauty purchases instead of jumping right in when I see something I like! Can you believe I haven’t purchased a single beauty item since early November??? :O and that includes not getting anything during BF too!!! (I’m still subbed though to a handful of boxes I refuse to give up for the foreseeable future) I’m still having fun finding new beauty boxes (Barney’s just came out with some new ones… have you seen them??), deals (I saw that the Rituals advent calendar was half off… just thought I’d mention since I remember you love Rituals 🙂 ), and gwps (no major new ones yet, but Barney’s should be coming out with their holiday one soon!), but I’m just being better on not impulsively taking advantage of things since I already have so much! 😀

        • What?!
Tis the season Luna, to shop and worry about it in Jan.

I respect your mindset- I’m trying to become an adult shopper to 😜

I already got the Rituals calander but Im really thinking about getting another one 🤔😏

    • I adore the mist so much! I use it on my neck and shoulders too.

    • Hopefully they will revisit in the future… like right after my products run out so I don’t have to buy them individually!

  2. i bought this – and i was very happy with my purchase.

    • Roses for the win!

      • Yes Sista! 🌹🌹

  3. Wow, what a nice box. Seems to be a good price as well.

    • It really felt like a home-run value wise for sure.
