Apocalyptic Beauty Look of the Month Club “Forest Witch” November 2018 Review

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Info Card Front

Apocalyptic Beauty included two information cards: the first lists all the items included and all of their ingredients, and the second is a business card listing all of their social media.

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Items 1 Top

November’s theme is Forest Witch, and the colors are shimmery and glowing greens with rich browns --- and GLITTER, finally!!

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Items 2 Top

Their motto is “Stand beautiful amid the ruins.” --- I am hoping to do just that!

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Nymph Eyeshadow Open Top

Nymph Eyeshadow - Estimated Value $5

Oooo this duochrome glowy green makes my heart sing! I love duochrome, and this pastel green to a lime glow is gorgeous.

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Wildcraft Eyeshadow Open Top

Wildcraft Eyeshadow - Estimated Value $5

I was expecting greens in this Forest Witch themed box, and I am delighted they mixed it up and chose two bright greens to share with us this month. I am also really feeling the intense shimmer in this springy green!

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 -Totem Totem Eyeshadow Open Top

Totem Eyeshadow - Estimated Value $5

You really can’t go wrong with a satin brown shadow. This earthy shade will be the perfect color to deepen the outer corners of a halo eye or to use as an eyeliner.

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Moon Ritual Chunky Glitter Front

Moon Ritual Chunky Glitter - Estimated Value $4.25

I was ecstatic when I unboxed this month’s items to find really fun glitter! I always see them on their site and then fomo settles in, but this month makes up for it all! I am so excited to play around with these cute shiny circles, stars, moons, and leaves!

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Sigil Liquid Lip Top

Sigil Liquid Lip - Estimated Value $12

I’ve sampled Apocalyptic Beauty’s liquid lip two month’s back in a peach orange hue here, but this month’s color is much different! This earthy brown had to be applied much more precisely, and I find I actually really like it with a tiny bit of a balm underneath.

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Face Look 1

Here is the look I came up with using all of the products in this month’s bag. Am I a Forest Witch? Yes, yes I am! I used Wildcraft to do an exaggerated wing, Nymph in the inner corners and Totem as a liner on the top and bottom lids. To apply Moon Ritual glitter, I first added NYX’s glitter glue. I then pressed my finger into the glitter then patted whatever I picked up to the glitter glue. In this first picture, I wanted to go for a glitter tears look, but I just wasn’t feeling it. I felt like I needed another glittery focus point…

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Face Look 2

I thought maybe if I added more glitter to another part of my face it would feel right, but maybe not, haha!

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Face Look 3

After I scraped the glitter off my lips, I lost all control and added a ton to my eyelids being super careful not to get any chunks into my eyes.

Apocalyptic Beauty November 2018 - Face Look 4

This was my last go, and I felt scattering Moon Ritual across my eyelid was the most wearable of these looks. Without the glitter, I would definitely wear the green wing any day of the week. Truth be told, I’d probably add the glitter and wear it any day of the week as well! It is super fun, and I am 100% team glitter, every time!

The Verdict:  I had a lot of fun experimenting with my new products; Apocalyptic Beauty really killed it with these unique colors and products this month. Once again, I really like the direction they took for this month’s Forest Witch theme. The quality and pigmentation of Apocalyptic Beauty’s cosmetics are really impressive, and I am so excited to see how they curate December’s “Ice Queen” theme!

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No. If you sign up after the 21st of each month, you will receive the following month’s box, subscriptions ship shortly after this date.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $12.50 (that includes shipping), and I received 5 items, which is like paying $2.50 per item. I received three eyeshadows, a glitter and one liquid lipstick which adds up to $31.25. I think that is an awesome value for such quality colors and performance!

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Aw, you look so cute with the glitter! Is the glitter dry or is it wet (like does it come in a liquid base)? It’s hard to tell with the pictures.

It’s dry. So you need a glitter glue or something like that to apply it. But it also means you can pull out the individual glitter pieces you want (like if you want to do something with just the leaves or the little moons or whatever).
I signed up after the review last month and I’m really loving it! I also bought one of their holiday mystery boxes, which I plan to open on Christmas. 🙂
