  1. People keep saying that allure is shady but it’s the people who start and stop a lot of times thru the year just to receive free stuff that keep saying it. I mean with a lot of people always starting and stopping based on one 15 dollar box they don’t like then the next month start again or stopping just to start again to get something free how can allure b the shady ones ? Just sayin. It’s a box full of samples to try out. Some things we will like some we won’t. That is the nature of beauty box subs. I for one have loved allure this year even if I don’t always like the items.

    Different charges odd names… more and more…

    Started with a additional charge of a magazine that stayed pending then dropped.

    Then I cancelled now more charges today pending…

    • You should contact your banks fraud department and be sure to make note of any charge you didn’t make, Allure processes payments on two cards of mine and I’ve not had any issues. There’s been a lot of breaches in the last year and people tend to wait until the holidays to starts scamming a lot. You should receive notification from the retailer your information was breached from and an offer to monitor your credit for a couple of years.

  5. I signed up for the Sunday Riley before it was sold out. And I got my box today with a mini perfume.. I hope I still The the serum. I still haven’t canceled. But will cancel if they don’t send the serum.

    • I got the same exact thing!! Versace perfume instead of the Sunday Riley! I called them and they are correcting the mistake and sending the Sunday Riley. Call CS and tell them what happened.

  7. I placed my order for the Sunday Riley special within a few minutes of the MSA post and I am beginning to think it was all just a bait and switch on Allure’s side. MSA did nothing wrong. I received my box and it had the perfume mini in it, and yes I know the Sunday Riley is supposed to be sent separately but I am not expecting to receive it. I have already received shipping confirmation on my December box and yes I do want it plus I am willing to stick it out for January’s box also but I am so disgusted with Allure’s business tactics.

    • I am honestly kind of over Allure, not because the boxes aren’t good, they have all been nice, but because of the constant changes and offers that are for new subs, but not offering the same types of things to longtime subscribers. I cancelled recently and the agent offered me an ~empty~ makeup back to stay. You read that right, not a goodie bag, a bag with nothing in it. He then told me that they send longtime subs random gifts, but those random gifts are never as good as the new subscriber gifts, like costume earrings and a detangling brush, when they’re offering new subscribers full size cosmetics and Sunday Riley serums? It makes me feel a little jaded that I was offered an empty bag instead of practically anything else – insert sad trombone here, ha.

      • It’s why I cancel are resub often, or create new accounts with new email addresses and names (or they’ll automatically cancel you without letting you know). I also got a new sub when the Sunday Riley was advertised, I took many screenshots.

        However, I must say that customer service has been amazing (90% of the time). Once I had a horrible experience with a guy who seemed like he was losing his marbles. Like screaming and belligerent. But every other time they have been great

  8. I got a gift (like an actual gift, unsolicited and didn’t sign up for this gift with purchase) from Allure in the mail today. It’s a scalp/shampoo brush massager. I’ve only been a subscriber since November. It was an unexpected and nice surprise!

  9. I ordered the November box last November 29th and cancelled the following day since I’m only after the November box and the free Sunday Riley serum. I thought they already cancelled my account but turns out they didn’t plus I’m getting the December box instead of the November box! So disappointed with their customer service! I have called and emailed them several times!

    • That’s how they lure you in! At the end of October, I ordered their October box only because I saw (both here at MSA and on their website) the version containing YSL lipstick was back in stock. However, I ended up receiving the other version and they told me sorry but the YSL lipstick was sold out and couldn’t do anything about it. On top of that, I also ended up getting the November box when I thought I had it canceled.

      Lesson learned and this time I didn’t jump in for the SR. When I saw the deal was posted on November 29th, I knew they are using this deal to have people sign up and there wouldn’t be enough time to cancel for December. Plus that SR was in the their box at the beginning of this year, and I bet they were not fresh when being sent to Allure, so that means it’s at least one year old and very likely to going to expire before I even get to use it. So though extremely tempting, I refused to bite the hook this time and have no regrets so far.

      • Thank you for the info, Ellen. Lesson learned! I suspended my account since I’ll be on vacation for few months but now after reading this, I will definitely cancel! They are shady and their customer service sucks! It takes them forever to reply to your email!

      • if you want the YSL, message me. I have it, haven’t even opened and know I probably won’t use it since it’s matte. I keep trying to convince myself to swatch it but really there’s no point, I know mattes don’t work for me.

    • December is way better than November, at least I think so. I got stuck with 3 November boxes when I wanted December.

  10. Did anyone receive their November box with the Sunday Riley full size serum? Did it come separately? I only got the November box yesterday without the Sunday Riley serum even though I ordered the box when it showed the serum in stock.

    • My understanding is that the serum will ship separately. Hope that helps!

    • I haven’t gotten my November box yet either…nor SR, though I know that will ship separately.

    • Same as you! It will ship separate. They are usually good about it getting to you shortly after your box.

    • When did you purchased your November box? Are you a monthly subscriber? I put my order last November 29th and cancelled the following day cos I only want to get the masks and the free Sunday Riley serum. I am now starting to hate Allure’s customer service. I have emailed and called several times then found out that my account is still active and I’m not getting the box that I like!

      • If you canceled before your box was shipped you’ll probably never receive a box, their FAQ states that your box has to be shipped before you can cancel. Good luck.
