Target Glam To Go Holiday Beauty Box Review

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Difeel Pure Essential Tea Tree Oil Front

Difeel Pure Essential Tea Tree Oil, 1 oz – Retail Value $5.99

Tea tree oil is one of those essential oils with a ton of uses - mixing a drop with your shampoo can help to keep your scalp healthy, and it also makes a great acne spot treatment. The way I have been using tea tree oil lately (thanks to getting it in this box) is by dropping a few drops on the floor of my shower when I turn the hot water on. After waiting a few minutes, I step into the shower and I feel like I am in a spa. I love how big this 1 oz jar is- a little bit truly goes a long way, so I happily have my tea tree needs set for a while yet.

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner Front

Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner, 2 oz – Retail Value $3.99

I am always down to try new curl products, and I really loved the performance of this deep conditioner. I found it to be hydrating, smoothing, and it helped to detangle my curls without weighing them down. The Target in Baton Rouge is a bit of a drive from where I live, but I would definitely make the drive to stock up on this deep conditioner before I travel (because those hotel conditioners do not do my hair any favors).

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Cantu Coconut Curling Cream Front

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Cantu Coconut Curling Cream Open Top

Cantu Coconut Curling Cream, 2 oz – Retail Value $1.97

This curling cream is paraben, sulfate, silicone, and mineral oil free, and it provided a nice bounciness to my curls while smoothing the strands. This didn’t weigh my hair down, and it paired really well with my current go-to curl gel to define and hold my curls while not getting too frizzy.

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Blueberry Front

Curls Blueberry Bliss Twist N Shout Cream, 2 oz – Retail Value $2.99

This curl cream would be best suited for those whose curls are tighter spirals than mine, but I still enjoyed the light hydration this provided my curls while sealing in the cuticle from frizz.

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Lashes Front

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Lashes Open

Eyelure x Jasmine Brown Curly Queen Lashes – Retail Value $7.99

I have slowly been wearing false eyelashes more and more now that I get so many pairs through subscription boxes. This pair was light and comfortable to wear, and I like that they came with eyelash glue (I literally just got a tube of glue in my Allure box but I have no idea where it is). What I found works best for me is that I trim the inner corners of the lashes, because otherwise, they are a bit uncomfortable to wear. I apply the lash glue to the back of my hand and wait a few seconds before pressing the lash band into the glue. I then wait a few more seconds before applying to my lash line (the outer two-thirds of my eyes since I trim off the inner corners).

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Selfie 1

Here I am wearing them, and the great hair is thanks to the Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner, the Cantu Coconut Cream, and a light gel to hold my curls shape.

Target Glam To Go Holiday 2018 - Selfie 2

I wasn’t a fan of how this lash glue stayed a bit white- maybe my lashes weren’t done drying, but I prefer it when the glue dries clear quickly.

The Verdict: I love that one of the Target Holiday Boxes were specifically for women (or men!) with very curly hair. The favorites for me were the tea tree oil and the deep conditioner, but overall I thought this set was a good value with a fun mix of products. This would be a sweet stocking stuffer for the curly girl in your life! Value-wise, this box cost $14.99 and had a total retail value of $22.93.

The Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this box is still available, and there are several other Holiday Target Beauty boxes available here too!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $14.99 with free shipping and had a total retail value of $22.93. That means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Tea Tree Oil: $3.91
  • Deep Conditioner: $2.60
  • Cantu Cream: $1.29
  • Blueberry Cream: $1.95
  • Lashes: $5.22

I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

This should have been priced at $7. It looks like one of their regular monthly boxes to me.

Agreed. Like all of the other holiday boxes for $15 this month. The only one worth it was the Dermstore box. (Which I did get!) If the others were $7; I might have bought more of them.
