I received a response from customer service in less than 24 hours, so all good there. I got an apology and an offer for either the Kopari duo or the Gloria tassel earrings as compensation. Not sure what those are…?

I finally received my box that I had ordered back in November. Tote arrived scuffed/scratched, and although I had used the BF early access promo code for the beauty bundle, I only received the OSEA oil — no palette, no lipstick, no communication. If they run out of products, shouldn’t they at least communicate and send replacements of equal value??
Disappointing … looks like this will be my first and last box from them 🙁

I sent them a email weeks ago inquiring about my box. Tonight I got this email from them.

Thank you for your recent Box of Style purchase. Unfortunately, we oversold the Oribe Lipstick gift with purchase. As a token of our sincerest apologies we are sending our fan favorite items –– the Kopari Lip Love and Coconut Rose Toner. We value your membership and hope you enjoy these products as much as our members have. These will be coming separate from your box, so please expect a shipping notification next week.
We are very sorry for this inconvenience, and should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out to our member services team.

Hi,
I’m not okay with that substitute. I bought the box because of the Black Friday deal, which included three items Smith + Cult palette, Osea hydrating oil and Oribe lipstick, which value at $118

And you wanna replace those items with two items you featured in a box over a year ago, which only have a combined value of $40. I would much rather you refund me my money, then send me old product. You falsely advertised. That’s not very good customer service. If you can’t send me what I purchased then please reimburse me ASAP.

Seriously I’m so done with them. I’ve cancelled with them and had them wrongly charge me and refuse to reimburse me because they sent me a box. They have the absolute worst customer service. I bought this winter box only because of the Black Friday sale, I figured I could gift the box items as Christmas gifts and keep the bundle for myself. I have no desire or need for the “weak” substitutions they’re giving. They are falsely advertising and mistreating their customers loyalty. I expected more from a company that is suppose to represent Rachel Zoe! Sadly This box isn’t worth the headaches

Yeah, that’s not ok. And, they were still promoting the Oribe lipstick on Dec. 1st. That’s over a full week after most of us ordered because of the beauty bundle promo. As you were saying, no communication, no reasonable substitution and, no discernable effort to make things right. They need to make very clear that they didn’t just dupe people. I found one of the other threads talking about this and in a reply to one person’s inquiry BOS said that the other items were unavailable and that they sent the Osea oil for her inconvenience. Like, WHATTT? That is certainly not ok to do that. It is wrong and there is this thing called the internet recording everything.

I just don’t even know what is the appropriate response or action for us to take — If you get your box but not the entirety of the promotion you purchased under, what should you do, what is correct and fair?

Dispute with your credit card company. You can do a partial dispute if you want.

I sent an email asking if the missing items would be delivered separately. I’ll give them a chance to respond, but knowing what others have heard it sounds like it won’t be good (or maybe they’ll have figured something out by then?)

Correct and fair on their part would be to either offer a suitable replacement or refund some of our money. A day after I placed my order, they offered a $40 off deal with no bundle. Refund us that extra $15 for the bundle that we ordered but apparently never existed, and we keep the oil. For our inconvenience. That feels like a very easy and obvious fix. For $15 a person, they have a chance to keep us and everyone else who hears about this as customers.

If they fail to do anything to remediate, fair on our part would be to contact our credit card companies. I don’t know what our rights are for a partial delivery rather than full, but it’s the only place we have to start. And of course blast this all over social media, revealing them as a dishonest company with whom no one should choose to do business.

There are comments on one of the other BOS threads from people who were supposed to get the beauty bundle and didn’t. BOS support is telling them that the lipstick and palette are no longer available, but they’re sending just the oil.

Yeah, I found that thread, thank you for bringing it to our attention. As I said in a previous comment, BOS was marketing the Oribe lipstick a full week after the initial beauty bundle promotion so they have some explaining to do along with some kind of reasonable substitution or an additional discount. Right now, with the lack of straightforward communication, it feels like they are just trying to sweep this under the rug. It is not ok.

I am NOT happy! Just got my box, almost exactly one month later and NO PALETTE OR LIPSTICK! After reading all these comments, I’m disgusted and filing a credit card claim as well as canceling my box.

Hi Alt I receive my winter box today and only thing I received from my bundle from Black Friday was the oasis. I am pretty upset that I haven’t gotten the eyeshadow palette nor the lipstick that was false advertisement. I sent them an email hopefully I’ll hear back from them very disappointed

I received a shipping notification yesterday also. Here’s hoping everything arrives intact with the correct contents.

It also stated, “The following items were included in this shipment:

1 x Osea Malibu Essential Hydrating Oil (BP174OSMHO00NC)
1 x Winter 2018 Box of Style – Rose Gold Ring -M/L (BK184ZMGKT04RG)”

No mention of the lipstick or the palette. We’ll see when it gets here. Fingers-crossed.
