Now, on to the items!

Jules Kae Exclusive Vegan Leather Tote – Retail Value $150

This pale blush tote is such an unexpected (and welcome) color for winter! And I am SO happy about a crossbody bag strap! It makes it so much more practical when I can wear a bag hands free!

The material is a vegan leather with black edge detail. (The inside is the same as the outside. No lining or pockets.)

Here it is on:

My winter wardrobe is pretty much all black and grey, so this is the perfect muted pop of color. And it’s large and roomy enough to fit my laptop and everything else.

The hand straps are braided, and you can tuck the crossbody strap into the bag when you aren’t using it or let it hang:

And this bag will feel equally timely in Spring – I love it!

Eddie Borgo The Soho Watch Exclusive – Retail Value $115

This watch is stunning! And it comes in a beautiful box so you can gift this (if you are willing to part with it.)

It’s rose gold with a matching metal band.

The watch face measures 1.25 inches across, and the entire length is 9 inches.

Here it is on:

And I’m also wearing the next item:

Luv AJ Exclusive Marquise Diamond Disc Statement Ring –  Retail Value $85

It’s super sparkly thanks to the crystal accents and gold plating, and you get the look of three rings in one!

And subscribers can pick between rose gold or yellow gold. Here are both options:

You’ll also get to pick the size. S/M fits sizes 5-7, M/L fits size 7.5-9.5.

Amika Dream Smoothing Balm – Retail Value $25

How fun is this retro ’60s packaging?

I’ve sampled Amika many times thanks to Birchbox, and their hair products all smell amazing, so I was excited to see this in the box. It’s a smoothing balm that you can use on damp hair before blow-drying (or even as a light touch up cream on dry hair.) You only need a dime-sized amount, so this bottle should last for months, too!

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil – Retail Value $105

I can’t believe we get full-sized Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil in this box! You could buy this box just for this oil at a discount and it’s like getting everything else for free!

This is a retinol oil that is designed to boost the look and feel of skin plumpness, while improving the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and pores for visibly younger-looking skin. Most retinol products aren’t oils, so this is a nice change, and I’m happy to report that it was gentle on my skin. Plus, my skin is extra dry thanks to winter weather, and this oil is very hydrating. (I really like the natural scent, too.)

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $480. That’s fab for $99.99! Even better with their $15 coupon! I think this might be my favorite Box of Style of all time – it’s almost all hero items! I love every single item, and while everything feels special and holiday appropriate, none of the items are winter-weather exclusive. This box should work in every season and climate! (And if you aren’t going by retail values, this breaks down to $19.99 an item, or $17 an item with the MSA15  coupon.)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box was still available!

  1. Liz, would you give us the MSA discount code again, since this one no longer works? Thank you!

    • MSA15 – added to the review, too!

      • Thank you, you run a great business!!

  2. I wish they would make good canvas or cotton bags, I’d be all for it. This “vegan leather” is about as appetizing as a vegan turducken. I love vegan food but not when it parades around as something it can’t ever dream of replicating or in theory should aim to be. Let it take off the sheeps clothing and stand on its own merits.

    • Yes! This is my exact comment for all vegan items. We don’t need “leather”, how about a nice durable fabric instead. That being said the bag design is great and I get that they couldn’t do the $300 real leather bag for BOS so pleather was the next best thing but I have a hard time getting on board.

  3. The code for$25 off isn’t working 🙁

    • Sorry, try MSA15 to save $15

  4. The coupon is coming up as “expired” when I try ordering.

  5. Im excited for the Luna oil, amika and watch. The tote is just another crappy looking cheap plastic bag with laughable RV- (it will end up in good will like the bags i got from that purse sub) . The love AJ ring looks cute, but the quality of that brand is awful. The finish of one of their things i had gotten from FFF wore off in 3 wearings…so FYI

  6. Liz, could you tell us what the bag’s handle-drop length is? I need to know if it will drape on my arm okay.

While I’m asking, what is the bag’s shoulder strap maximum length?

  7. I wish I could decide….. $25 off is very tempting…

  8. I used msa15 for $15 off without having to create another account. I didn’t see the $25 off promo code until today 🙁 oh well, still happy with some kind of discount. I hope they sell out soon so I don’t see the box for $50 later and kick myself for not waiting.

  9. I look forward to every season and again I’m not disappointed. I also use the boxes to store items in my closet and love the color of this one. Go Rachel!

  10. BUYER BEWARE-

I’ll never do business with this company again. Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Just check out their Facebook page or the comments on here, and you’ll get an idea.

I still haven’t received my winter box from them last winter. I filed a claim with my bank, and two months later Box of Style contested it and I was out of the money and I still never received my box.

I’ve never had worse customer service on my life.

    • Thank you. I had seen the ratings and wondered why. Makes decision time way easier. That and they’re faqs that seemed kind of vague. Thanks again!!
      ..

    • Fully agree. I vowed to never purchase from them again after last winter. The company’s customer service is terrible. Sorry you never received your box. I received mine, but it was towards end of January. Everything was damaged because everything was thrown in with a piece of tissue paper to protect it and the oil spilled and the earrings were broken.

      • Ditto on the horrific customer service ~ there is NOTHING in a box that would ever allow me to let them compromise my credit card again!!! I gave them 2 chances ~ one too many!!!

  11. Is there ever a warning if they’re running low on boxes? I don’t think in the past year I’ve been here that I’ve seen one actually sell out. Don’t want to miss out on this box, but money is really tight with Xmas coming up!

  12. I love Liz’s hair the most!!! 🤩

  13. This is easily one of the best RZ boxes in a long time. The $25 code got me to jump because I do think this will sell out. It’s the first time in ages where I’ve been excited about every item in a box. Although I loved last year’s winter box clutch for its uniqueness, it’s limited in its practicality. This beautiful tote is much more versatile. And yes, I realize “vegan leather” means plastic and the retail value is inflated, but considering the Sunday Riley and Amika are verifiable retail values, it all evens out to me.

  14. I love the watch and that oil, but not enough to purchase at $75. If it goes on sale I will probably buy it!

    • On the same page as you!

    • Me too. I will cave if it goes to $50.

    • If you just want the oil the Sephora Play ages bag is $15 and has a good sample size in it.

      • I just tried and it’s out of stock 😩

  15. The watch looks a lot like my Your Bijoux Box watch, which I love.

    • The watch looks like a Charming Charlie watch I bought for about $22. Still nice looking though…

  16. Liz, I love your outfit!! Where did you find that skirt and those boots? Lately I’m more interested in your clothes than the box contents 😂 I’m so glad that you started to include the full body shots, it’s super helpful and sets MSA apart from other blogs.

    • Thanks! 🙂 The skirt is from Forever 21 and the boots are from Miss Selfridge

And glad to hear the full body shots are helpful!

  17. “Vegan Leather” means plastic. No thanks. I got one of her boxes with a purse that was real leather and it was that cheap, stiff leather. I’ve never used it. I canceled after that. I’d rather have fewer items of higher quality but none of these box companies seem willing to do that.

    • Yeah but plastic is better than animal skin… But yeah plastic shouldn’t be that expensive.

      • That could be argued. Plastic production is incredibly bad for the environment and you can’t really recycle “vegan” leather. Real leather is biodegradable and comes from animals used for meat anyway. I think the issue is our overconsumption of products and love for fast fashion. In which case, people like Jane probably do more for the environment by not overbuying.

        • i’ve been a vegetarian for 18 years so real leather coming from animals used for meat anyway is not a good argument to me lol

          • and actually a lot of leather isn’t just leftover from the meat industry, but millions of animals are actually killed just for leather because the demand for it is so high.

          • Depends on the leather. Cow lesther comes from cows used for food. The demand for beef does not surpass demand for leather. Exotic leather does usually lead to wastefulness of the carcass.

Either way, plastic never has and likely never will be good for the environment.

  18. It looks as though the bag became creased along the top from how it was packaged in the box. They are very noticeable when the bag is laying on its side and when Liz is holding it. I hope those creases fade over time…I fear they will cheapen the look of the bag.

I know packaging can be costly for companies, but I wish they would increase the size of the box to accommodate the size of its contents. Breo does this well.

  19. I went on retail me not and used the code RZBOS25 to get $25.00 off for new subscribers

    • To add on to my previous comment. My daughter is vegan and a student so she likes these bigger bags. Think this is an amazing price just for the Luna oil. I will use the hair care product and the oil. I have an Apple Watch and although I love it I would like a dressier watch just to change it up. I’m excited for this box.

  20. I’m sad that this season lacks the edge that Rachel Zoe is known for. This season feels like the purchase value of the box is EQUAL to the actual content’s value.

The watch is suspiciously similar to May’s Bijoux box, but a $22 box (their subs always go on sale)

Also I recieved the Rose Gold watch from Fall’s Coastal Co. ($99 box) which currently retails for $200-$250…along with additional, current style items with realistic RVs that actually check out.

In any case, I’m picky about larger handbags. IMO handbags, crossbody’s and totes are statement pieces, like shoes and a coat. I like my handbags to be high quality; if the material relies on plastic or fabric, then it needa to be uniquely designed for occasional use. This bag doesn’t look like it would stand up to one of my regular work weeks… Running to meeting, gym, in and out to car….

I def feel the price of this box is simply fair… Not the desired “screaming value” of a sub box.

    • Typo: I received “a rose gold watch”…. Not the same one as BOS. Coastal’s was the Nixon Facet Watch in Rose Gold

  21. If you use the oil, and like the watch, I guess it’s worth it, but otherwise I don’t get this box at all. The bag looks ultra cheap to me, especially the (ugh) braided handles – it’s just a cheap “vegan leather” (plastic) tote for which the quoted RV is laughable. I’ve had Luv AJ jewelry in other boxes (FFF maybe?) and the quality is super cheap. The box definitely has one or two decent items, but I’ll pass. Other boxes are less expensive and far more worth it, IMHO (Boxwalla, I’m looking at you with a fond smile).

  22. This does look like a great box, but not sure I’m willing to sub again after last year’s winter box delay. Customer service was almost nonexistent for assistance. Anyone who has been a member for a while…. how are shipping and customer service?

  23. Anyone want to box split? I want the watch, amika item, and oil. Does anyone want the bag and ring? Let me know!!
    Jordancoleman60 at yahoo dot com

  24. I love the tote but the awful experience with the RZ customer service means I will never again order from them.

    • I feel the same…I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company to finally resolve the issue last year after receiving only generic automated messages back from customer service about their extreme shipping delay.

  25. I caved. Kept thinking about this box and couldn’t wait to see if there’s a Black Friday deal in case it sells out 🙂 looking forward to trying the oil and I love bags with long straps. Much better than the last box!

  26. I am at my wit’s end. I thought I’d be cute and give myself a gift from my dogs. Created a new Gmail account, created a new BOS account, made the box a gift.

At the time I purchased the box, there was NO personalization of the rings possible.
Now there is, but that screen will not load for me on any browser.

I wrote CS and they said they’d give me $20 off to ” remain a member”.
Please, someone, what does the lack of a ring choice page or area have to do with being a member? I never even thought about cancelling THIS box.

They are not wise at Rachel Zoe’s business. Also, I don’t suggest ever giving a box as a gift. It seems to really mess up their ability to personalize. My option was ” Notify recipient when box is on the way” so this should NOT impact the ring selection process one bit. I am selecting it, regardless of email used.

    • You’re at your wit’s end bc your dog couldn’t pick your ring color…. I’m at my wit’s end bc my dog has been sick all week and has left “presents” for me every day. 🤷‍♀️ ah well. I’d rather have your dog’s present 😉

    • Their customer service is incompetent, I assume they just skim the emails sent to them. I’d send another email with bold letters “customization help needed”

I personally prefer to know when a company is failing miserably at customer service, so I read the comments here.

Any issues we have regarding boxes seem and are minor compared to life’s problems.
I use boxes as an escape from things like my son beating himself in the head etc, so when they make it difficult after paying it annoys me too.

      • I have issues with my son also, do you have any online support group? This is my escape also… Lol

  27. Liz, I loveee your boots!! Do you know if they’re still available?

    • Thanks, they are from Miss Selfridge. I bought them from ASOS, but they sold out there, but some sizes are still available on the Miss Selfridge site. Hope that helps!

  28. Some of the RVs seem a bit inflated. I bought a real leather tote for about that much from the Coach outlet and I haven’t heard good things about Luv AJ from the FabFitFun community. It’s a good value at $20/ item, but I wish all these boxes would give accurate RVs.

    • They get around the quality factor and accurate RV by making everything a box exclusive and slapping a label on it that’s double what both brands tend to retail for. (Those house of Harlow earrings for example from last year!) at least the Luna and Amika are accurate.

  29. I was going to cancel but I’m staying for the Luna oil. My bottle is low and it makes sense to get the whole box for the price I would pay for the oil anyway. The watch will be perfect for occasions when I’m dressed up and my Apple Watch looks out of place and the bag will be good for school.

  30. I love love love this box.
So glad I became an annual member, everything the box of
Style does is amazing! There add ons are wonderful as well I just bought about $200 is awesome add on value . Couldn’t help myself

    • What kinds of add ons does this box have? I’ve never really liked any of the fff add ons. What did you get?

      • You can actually see them without subscribing if you follow the links to “get the box.” Seems like mostly past items, but I’m playing the game where I fill up my cart and try to convince myself I don’t need anything 🙂

  31. No. Nothing in it screams winter and the oil is everywhere and overplayed at this point. BoS is supposed to set the tends nor be last in line for them.

    • The “oil is everywhere and overplayed”? What? Lol! Maybe it’s because the oil is amazing (my opinion but many more also love it). Why would that be a basis to not get the box anyway? Yeah, you sure sound like you’re on the cutting edge of trend setting.

  32. Really liking this box and hoping I can score it at a discount but I feel like I have something similar to all of these items so I really don’t need it. Why am I so tempted by all of these boxes?!

    • would get at bigger discount! wish bag was leather but all good!

  33. I just ran out of my sample oil and I’m in love. It has changed my skin. So I’m in. I love this box. It’s my favorite.

    • You should try Sunday Riley’s Good Genes – I am shocked at my skin, it looks 10 years younger!! Sephora can make you a sample 🙂

  34. So I’m clearly hugely in the minority here, but this box just doesn’t do it for me. While the value is definitely there (though $150 for a collaborated vegan purse seems WAY inflated), there’s just nothing here I personally want. Love the watch, but not in rose gold, and I think I’m the only person on the planet who isn’t a Sunday Riley fan…not sure why there are artificial colors in the oil. That being said…it’s definitely a good value box…and I know myself well enough to know that if it makes it far enough to get down to the $30 off range, I’ll probably purchase. Plus I’m kinda feeling maybe my taste is off since everyone else seems to be lusting over this one!! 😉

    • I agree with you 100%. I’m not a fan of Sunday Riley because she uses a lot of fragrant oils and other irritating ingredients in her products (just because it is “natural” doesn’t mean it’s non-irritating). My skin has responded poorly to every SR product I’ve ever tried. The tote is pretty, but $150 RV for an “exclusive” pleather bag is definitely inflated. While I think the curation of this box is well-rounded, it lacks the fashion-forward “wow factor” that RZ is known for. It feels like a higher end FFF box, rather than a fashion/trend focused box.

      • CR you hit the nail on the head…it seems like a higher end FabFitFun box. And with Amika and Luv AJ in it…not even all that much higher end!

  35. I am currently using that oil and it’s very strong smelling. I thought it smelt like tea tree but according to ingredients list it’s not in there. I love that watch, love rose gold.

    • The scent in the Luna oil, I think is a high concentration of the chamomile oil. My friend sells YL oils, and that it fo sho chamomile. Stinks.

  36. @LizCadman – Are you wearing the yellow or rose gold ring in the photo?

    • The yellow gold ring.

  37. I want that oil soooo bad! I heard it works wonders and although I’m only 21, my Grandma would absolutely adore that for Christmas to go with her other Sunday Riley items! C: maybe I’ll buy the box and sell the other things or put them up for swap… I truly wish I liked the other items, but they’re just not quite my style or anyone else I know’s :c

  38. Liz,
I’m curious since the Sunday Riley Luna review is the same review from Allure, did you use it for any length of time after receiving from Allure?

The Sunday Riley looks good, Idk about their jewelry after the rings. I’d think I could gift the rest but doubt it will be shipped and delivered before Christmas.

    • I was wondering the same thing, it’s the same review as allure and she had a bottle to finish then too soooo?? I personally won’t use the sunday riley on my face with the artificial dyes in it. Even if it didn’t irritate my skin it shows a lack of concern for ingredients and actually makes me feel they are more about a dollar than actual benefits to skin. So it’s Definitely not for my face, and i don’t think anyone actually “Really Likes the smell”.. I doubt Liz even finished the last bottle she had based on this review.

    • Oh, sorry, I had pulled my notes from the Allure review and forgot to update before I hit publish. Yes, I think I noticed results in my skin from the half bottle (it’s sometimes hard to say for certain when I’m combining it with testing other skincare items), but I’m thrilled to have the full-size version now, and will use every last drop 🙂

  39. I’m getting a second box just for the oil – it’s THAT good.

    • Amen, but don’t get it yet…I still need to get my box.

  40. I. Must. Have. This. Box.

  41. Now I finally have a use for the leather pouch/ clutch from Luxor Box! YAY.
I love the watch, ring, oil, and bag. I wish the bag was leather, but they can’t source all those things with a large leather bag as well. 🙂

  42. This box is to DIE!… I don’t usually like rose gold, but this watch is kinda hot and I always love a good tote for date nights away.

  43. I wonder when this will sell out. Not if.

  44. What is the quality of the bag? After the FFF bag from their last box I have become weary of subscription box bags. I can’t wait for my box to ship- really looking forward to the watch.

  45. This is SUPER tempting!

  46. I don’t usually like these types of boxes, but I want everything in this one! Well, maybe not the balm. 😁

  47. I am loving this box!! 😍😍 Must have!!

  48. Yay, great review. Would you say the watch is a true rose gold Liz? So many look gold to me. How does the color compare to the rose gold ring?

    • Yep, it’s a true rose gold. When holding the watch next to the rose gold ring, I would say the watch is a deeper rose gold if that makes sense!

  49. Ughhh!! Drooool!!! Cant wait to get mine!!!! ❣❣❣

  50. I am so over huge totes that you can’t keep on your shoulder. This strap makes it a whole new ballgame. I like this box.

    • Yes – the crossbody strap is a gamechanger!
