Sooni Mini Pouch October 2018 Review
Here is the info sheet for the box.
My box was put together by Claire. I think this is such a cute touch!
Moksha Honey Charcoal Peel-Off Mask, 3.38 oz – Retail Value $13
Oh boy, I was not prepared for this mask. I figured to test it out I would apply it to my nose and parts of my cheeks, and then try to peel it off in one piece because that is always fun. This was the opposite of fun—this HURT! This mask sticks to your skin and does not want to leave. Putting it on my sensitive cheeks was a big mistake, and my cheeks were bright red and irritated for the rest of the night and part of the next morning. My nose, though, was flawless. This pulled out every piece of gunk it could find out of my pores, and it even gave me a light nose wax upon inspection of the peeled off mask. While I will probably use this again due to the impressive results, this is definitely a nose only kind of mask. Also, this has alcohol on the ingredients list, and when I first started to apply the mask the alcohol scent was pretty strong. Luckily, the scent faded quickly.
Etude House Soon Jung Skin Care Trial Kit – Retail Value $8.90
Sooni Pouch lists all the items in this kit separately on the info card, but I am collectively listing it as one because it came in a set. I like that we got a full trial kit, too! This came with a moisturizer, a balm, a toner, and an emulsion. I found the entire system to be very gentle and hydrating, but I don’t think I saw enough results to make me want to seek the full-size version of these products out.
Dewytree The Clean Lab AC Dew Foam
This is a plant-based foaming cleanser made without parabens, sulfates, or mineral oils. It is designed for oily and acne prone skin, but it is incredibly gentle on your skin as well.
Feferafe Ice Cream Mask – Retail Value $4
I was so stoked when I pulled this mask out of the box! Along with the fun ice cream theme, this is made with green tea extract, strawberry extract, and niacinamide to brighten your complexion. Niacinamide is one of those ingredients that my skin absolutely loves, and I do think my face looked brighter after using. My only real complaint is that this didn’t smell like ice cream- I would have loved that!
Missha Pure Source Pocket Pack in Rice, 10 mL – Retail Value $2.10 (1.85 €)
This is a peeling gel that is supposed to help exfoliate the dead skin cells off your face without being harsh on your skin. This did provide a mild exfoliation, and this was a good pairing with the next item.
Mediheal Collagen Impact Essential Mask – Retail Value $3 (found here for $1.50)
Mediheal is a popular K-Beauty skincare brand that I recently discovered thanks to the Sooni Mask Pouch. This is made with marine collagen to help soothe tired and irritated skin, which definitely describe my face right now – the combination of law school finals and the colder weather are really doing a number on my face! This was a soothing sheet mask to wear and my face felt a lot more hydrated after using.
The Verdict: I thought this was another solid box from Sooni Mini Pouch! I liked the array of items included, and they met their promise to send 3-4 full-size or deluxe sample sized items. However, they also promise that this box will include a value of at least $60. I was able to find a value for everything except the foaming cleanser, and the values added up to $31. I don’t think the foam cleanser is worth $29, so I don’t think they met the $60 value promise this month. That being said, I do think this is a fun box with a wide array of products for the $19.99 price tag, including free US shipping.
