This model is similar to how JustFabFabletics, and AdoreMe work. (Which makes sense, as JustFab, Fabletics, and Shoedazzle exist under the same umbrella company!)

Shoedazzle Cozy Winter Boots Review - November 2018

Shoe Dazzle November winter boot review

Lashawnda Low Platform Bootie in Cream, Size 8 - Retail Value $64.95, VIP Price $44.95 (currently on sale for $15)

I've been looking for a pair of winter boots that are warm, comfy, and cute. Something that I could wear to get cocoa and look at lights downtown. Holiday-friendly boots, I guess you could say! Anyway, I saw this pair on Shoedazzle, and they seemed to check all the boxes for me. I loved that they were a festive winter white color with big snowball-like pompoms at the end of each shoelace. Plus there seemed to be just enough fuzziness without them looking like big polar bear feet!

The boots are vegan—they're technically "textile/faux-fur"—with lightweight 1.25" platform soles.

The fur is also super soft. I wish I had a blanket made of this stuff!

Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. When I put these shoes on, I was kind of in disbelief about how different they were from what I imagined. The color is cute, the fur is cute, but the actual construction of the shoe is very odd, in my opinion. Essentially, the furry tongue of the shoe is a single piece of fabric that runs from the toe all the way up the shaft of the shoe. So, in a typical pair of shoes, the tongue is attached to the boot of the shoe at least up across your arch. But with this boot, it's ONLY attached in the very front. It almost feels more like a sandal than a boot.

The only thing holding the tongue in place is the criss-crossing shoelaces. What a bummer! I feel like these could be so great (maybe still not the warmest boots, but very cute for sure), but they're not very functional at all.

The Verdict: I haven't had a ton of luck with Shoedazzle lately. Last month's boots didn't fit great, and these boots are surprisingly unwearable. I've had some great luck with Shoedazzle in the past (especially with their more formal heeled booties and block heel sandals, but some of their clothing has been awesome, too). But so far, I'm not sold on their winter boot styles. Especially here in Pennsylvania, you at least need a boot that covers your foot! This pair is likely going to be a return.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! As of publication, these boots are still available!

Yikes. Life is too short to wear ugly shoes. And you paid almost 40 bucks for them? I can see why they are trying to get rid of them for $15 on sale.

Dang, those are cute and I can see why you picked them but why oh why did they not attach the fur on the sides? Makes them total useless!
Do they have a return policy if you are unhappy?

Its a tennis shoe that wants to be a boot when it grows up.

I got some cute burgandy pointy ankle boots for my November pick, I think it was $20 or so, and they are nice even if I find them a bit too pointy. Not very comfortable though. Too bad the design of the boots you picked is wonky otherwise I might have been tempted to get a pair for myself in December. A comfy pair of warm flat boots would be great!

These would be great in a place that wasn’t cold. I purchased a whole bunch of Apple Bottom “Snow” boots (yes, with the fur!) and they were not for the snow, wet, or cold. For the price of five useless, but gorgeous, boots I could have bought one pair of gorgeous snow boots. It’s all about the climate of where you live.

TIL “apple bottom” is a brand!! I thought Apple Bottom jeans were some sort of reference to how they fit on your behind. 🤣

That shoe wouldn’t work anywhere. What an usual design. Too bad because if they were constructed properly they’d be cute and fun.
