Just a heads up- I looked at my box after add-ons ended and noticed my total was lower because two of my items had just disappeared. Items that had been in my cart throughout the sale. I chatted with a rep who just basically said- sorry!

I’m spending a small fortune on add ons this go-around. The majority I’m spending on Oribe products…this is my go-to line, and the prices are really good. I’ll definitely be stocked up for a long while! It’s gotten to the point where the main reason I hold on to my annual is for the early access to add-ons…

I just dropped half my cart. Couldn’t justify spending $300 on add-ons after I just spent $230 at the coach outlet sale. I also got rid of two $10 additional items in my winter box. I originally had three but that would be $30, at which point I might as well just buy another winter box for $50. (seriously considered doing so but decided to pass)

So those of you who picked up my glam glow moisturizers, tarte mermaid brushes, bamboo pillowcases, derma rollers, etc – please enjoy them! While I feel a twinge of regret, my wallet is no longer giving me the silent treatment so I guess it’s for the best.

I actually did end up signing up for another box, instead of adding on items, since I had $30 worth of items I wanted to add. I wanted both the first choice items and then the gold lust dry shampoo and the necklace. I also wanted to purchase a second blanket as a gift but that wasn’t an option, so I just signed up for a whole box!! I couldn’t select the last two choices or blanket color choice for second account though, but it didn’t matter to me, I’ll use them as gifts. We do $10 limits for white elephant at Christmas and the extra items will work perfectly for that!

I’m so happy I was finally able to get the Glam Glow moisturizer! I had given up hope.

Anyone who got last year’s Winter box – can you remember when it arrived?

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I received mine 12/28. It shipped before Thanksgiving.

Oja

Is that common? Do you think it’s too risky to be buying Christmas presents as add-on items?

Redhed36

Well I was able to get everything I had in my favorites. I told myself to keep it around $50 but all the items in my cart add up to $100 exactly. How am I supposed to mess with that nice round perfect number. This is killing my OCD.

I can’t even count how many times I’ve had the winter tote bag in and out of my cart. Me: you don’t need another bag! Also me: but it’s so cute and you can always use a bag!

Hey there!

I’m reaching out to the add-on gurus out there for advice. Are the mystery bundles worth it? I’m a bit gun-shy after being burned by Happy Rebel last year…

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

I got two mystery bundles in the Fall edit sale and loved both! One had a retail value of $128 (Bodipure hand and foot mask, Mytagalongs 3 travel bags, Sahi Cosmetics mystic primer and serum, and Dr. Brandt poredermabrasion) and the other had a retail value of $185 (Skinvolve body karate cream, Aromatherapy Associates support breathe essence, Deux Lux backpack that was SUPER CUTE, and a bonus little star pin from their partnership with the Starlight Foundation). That was my first time getting them and I was super happy with it. Getting three this time so we’ll see how it goes!

They are over a $100 in RV and not the fake kind like happy rebel. If you look through the add ons and would be happy with say an Ahava lotion a face cream and a piece of jewelry and don’t quite car me which then it’s worth t for sure. If you have your heart set on one specific item then I would say just get the item you want and don’t chance it.

If you check on the community forums there is a mystery forum from last add ons and you can see what everyone got. There were definitely some duds in there.

Nothing drives home the concept of “every little bit adds up” like FFF add-ons.

I agree to keep checking back for sold-out items. I was even able to grab the free pesto sauce this morning!

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I mean, it’s pesto sauce that costs less than 3 bucks at the grocery store. That brand is really not even that good. I think the tubes of pesto you can buy and add olive oil too or the stuff from Costco is better, if you don’t feel like making it yourself. I dumped all of my cart yesterday and freed up a bunch of goodies that were buy one max and hope everyone gets what they want.

Dorothy

Thanks for crushing all my hopes and dreams!!

At least somebody else will get it when I dump it from my cart.

Ann

And when i say it is not good…I mean you end up using almost the entire jar for one dish and it is super mild in flavoring to the point of being bland.

LB

LOL. That’s the one thing I haven’t been able to snag. I’ve seen it pop up a couple of times but when I add it, it says not available. I’m an annual subscriber so had “first dibs” but I was at a wedding when those were added and missed out…oh well…

I feel like their add-ons are keeping them alive. They need to focus more on their boxes. The fall editors box is embarrassing and the winter box is an all around dud. I’d like to come back, but I don’t need any add-ons so there isn’t any incentive.

After years of gawking at boxes and occasionally buying an editor’s box, they sucked me in with the Foreo. I really regret that decision because I used the Foreo and was like, “This is it?” It was so disappointing for the way people talk about that thing being awesome. I’m walking away as soon as my annual is up in the spring. Just…oh, boy with the quality issues.

Sharon in SE TX

The quality issues are what prevented me from renewing my annual subscription. The teapot with the peeling paint was the last straw for me.

Michelle

I am so in agreement. I just had to have a Foreo and then when I got it I was disappointed. My cheepo brush from the $ store basically does the same thing but doesn’t cost me batteries.

Julie

You’re completely right. I have over $300 in add ons and the only thing I want in the box is the way of will essential oils duo. Just hoping it arrives in time for me to use as Xmas gifts but not booking on it. The box with the foreo was amazing so hoping they get back to that level.

I’m definitely more excited about my add-ons this season than my box…which is a shame because I’m usuall a fall/winter person. My annual is up after this box so I’m going to have to wait and see spring spoilers before deciding if I want to resub.

Kellie

I agree! I am really excited about my add-ons. However, in regards to the actual box, I already forgot what is in it. Unlike what others are saying, I don’t dislike it per se but it’s just not exciting.
