October 2018 "Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice" Review

This month I received four premium brushes for eyes and face. All of these brushes are from the Elite Series and have precision synthetic bristles. Let’s see what I got:

The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush. Many brushes can be used for many different things, so you can make them work best for you.

It’s good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.

E25 - Pointed Foundation/Concealer Blender - Retail Value $15

The bristles on the dual-ended brush are dense, but soft, and come to a point for detailed application. For me, the large end is too narrow to be used as a foundation brush but it works well to smooth out any creases in tight spaces. The narrow end is a great size for applying concealer under the eyes although I still prefer to finish blending with a sponge.

E30 - Blending Fluff - Retail Value $7

This blending brush is big and fluffy. It's great for blending shadows together or buffing out any lines. I like that I can apply a wash of color to my whole lid in just a few swipes.

E35 - Detail Smudger - Retail Value $5

Last month, I received a bullet crease brush which I've been using to smoke out my lower lash line. This brush is firm and has rounded bristles, but is much narrower than the one I have. It's great for both applying color to the lower lashline and smudging out liner on the top or bottom lid.

E37 - Small Detail - Retail Value $4

At first, I wasn't excited to see another tiny brush included this month. But, once I used it to apply highlight to the inner corners of my eyes, I knew this brush had a place on my vanity. The tiny, flat shape is firm and perfect for packing on color in hard-to-get-to spaces. It's also a great lip brush or can be used to apply concealer to pesky spots.

Here is my completed look!

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent four brushes this month that have a total retail value of $31.00. To me, these really feel like premium brushes and also perform wonderfully. I like that I received some uniquely shaped brushes that I don't already have.
