Julep Small Delights Mystery Box Review
It’s Balm Full-Coverage Lip Crayon in Cardinal Red Cream, Full-Size! Retail Value $20
This is a fire engine red lip color that works as an insanely pigmented lip balm for me. It is made with sunflower butter and Vitamin E, and this color will transfer. If you’re looking for some hydrating lip colors, this would be worth checking out.
Dial Up Your Glam Multidimensional Orbital Eyeshadow, Full-Size! Retail Value $18
I don’t think I have ever received an eyeshadow from Julep before, so I was excited to give this a try. The color is described as a moss green with a gold pearlescence, and it does have a base of black that makes this deep shade perfect for a smoky eye look. This is very pigmented and very blendable, so start with a tiny bit on your brush and work from there.

Julep Nail Polish in Raleigh, Full-Size! Retail Value $14
Raleigh is a HOT pink shimmery polish with flecks of gold shimmer, and I love how bright and cheerful this shade is. In my experience, Julep polishes either have a spectacular formula or a horrendous one—this one was spectacular.
Julep Nail Polish in Odette, Full-Size! Retail Value $14
Odette is described as a black plum shimmer, and it definitely leans more black than plum. The shimmer is there, but it is very faint. This is definitely a polish to reach for if you’re in a vampy mood, and the formula was great.
Julep Nail Polish in Chantelle, Full-Size! Retail Value $14
Chantelle is described as a cocoa micro-shimmer, and the shimmer really is micro. This is a black-leaning brown, and while the formula was pretty good I did notice the bottom coat trying to drag when I applied my second coat of polish.
Here are the swatches. From top to bottom we have Odette, Raleigh, and Chantelle.
Verdict: This box was a mix of deep black-based shades and BRIGHT pinks and reds, and overall I think this was a great mystery box for the $24.98 price ($19.99 plus $4.99 shipping)! I am super happy with Raleigh, and the eyeshadow will be fun to use in a smoky eye the next time I am feeling dramatic. Value-wise, Julep promised a $75 value and by my math, they beat that with a total value of $80. If you have been curious about trying Julep, their mystery boxes are really a great way to try out products from the brand for a fraction of the cost.
