ipsy has opened ipsy Shopper to all US customers - no subscription necessary! (And if you are a subscriber, you'll get 10% off all purchases.) If you aren't familiar:

ipsy Shopper is a store for ipsters to purchase full-sized products of favorite glam bag products and other top brands at a great discount. Shopper also features flash deals like Offers

Instead of Cash Back, Current & Past Glam Bag Subscribers get an additional 10% discount on everything during the Holiday season (11/7/18 - 1/1/19) only

You can still subscribe to get the 10% off, too. Ipsy is $10 a month. Check out my Ipsy reviews to see what you can expect with this subscription.

I was not excited about this new feature until I poked around Ipsy Shopper today looking to spend the $5 credit from Glam Bag Plus.

Subscribers get a 10% discount of the original retail price (this is usually listed in strikethrough, light grey text next to the price you actually pay). This makes it a great deal for bundled items. And you also get the added discount on the already excellent deals on Ipsy offers, too!

For example, right now in Ipsy Offers, there’s a bundle of 5 Deco Miami nail polishes for $16. Ten percent of that price is only a discount of $1.60. But, if you add it to your cart, you see that you’ll get a discount of $6, because the retail value of the polish bundle is $60. So the final price you pay for the offer is only $10 plus tax (still no shipping fee for Ipsy offers).

I also found a feature on the site that I had never seen before, & I’m kind of excited about it. When sorting by brand in Ipsy shopper, there’s a category for “Ipsy” items. In that category, they have bundles of past Ipsy items (mostly from Glam Bag Plus), but they also have past months’ glam bags available for purchase, complete with 5 mystery items. These are also 10% off with free shipping! Ipsy put a high retail value on these bags, so you are going to get a big discount. The September bag has been given an RV of $48, so $4.80 will be your discount off a bag that only costs $10 to begin with.

I wasn’t happy with my June bag, so I took another look at all possible items for that month, & since there are 20+ things that I’d still like to try, that’s the bag I decided to get. The RV for the June bag is listed as $37, so I got a discount of $3.70 + 5 from Glam Bag Plus. So I paid a total of $2.08, including tax, for a June bag. Even though it won’t be customized to me, I think that’s a great deal!

It’s not available in Alaska either. What’s worse is a year ago, I could buy from the shop. F— you Ipsy for taking that away from me. And for the inane response you give me when I complain about having the shopper taken away from me.

Is it just me or is this actually worse for subscribers?

Because i had a cart full of deals like 20% off + 20% cash back and so on. A lot of brands had a better % off than 10% already on top of the 15% to 45+% cash back. Now everything is only 10% off… Huge difference there Ipsy.

Omg yay!! Ten percent off = no urgency to buy ever!

The cash backs at 20 and 30 back were enticing.

Julie

So wait instead of 20% cash back we now get 10% off? Or did I misread that?

Last box was really bad for me. I’m planning to quit. Boxyluxe and fff together completing my requests on make up and skin care. Don’t like ipsy anymore

Yeah I’m not really loving Ipsy anymore. The brands picked are not heard of, samples are so so small and I keep getting face masks when I have selected that I do not like those.

That is not fair! We pay a monthly subscription but can’t use the service. I’m in Canada but they should at least give us the option if we want to pay the shipping or not.

I totally agree with you girl, I’m in Canada to and just realized that these add-ons aren’t available to us?! This isn’t Freakin Fair (sorry if I sound like I’m pouting) but I kind of am! It sucks! We’re being shamed for being Canadians.

Am I the only one who remembers October shipping fiasco?! My gbp got billed September 30th and is out for delivery today (the October one). I doubt they have the structure to handle this.

Right? That’s Exactly what I was thinking!!! And after they just released Ipsy Plus, they’ve got all sorts of people complaining about being on the waitlist for so long. It’s a cool idea, but I don’t think it’s the right move Now. I’m just crossing my fingers that my stuff arrives on time. If they’ve got all these extra orders from random people making a one time purchase…. I don’t know, Hope it all goes well. Wish they did more for their continuing subscribers.

I wasn’t aware there were any shipping issues in October.

I don’t know about others but I can confirm that I received an email saying there would be a delay and only got my October bag a few days ago and I was was charged Oct 1…. I also agree with a previous poster that opening this up to non members before they even make it available to Canadian subscribers is ridiculous. I would pay the extra for shipping as well but that ls not an option! Just like ipsyplus isn’t available to Canandians. I’ve been a subsciber for 4 years but I’m thinking if Canadians are gonna be treated as second class citizens then I’ll take my money elsewhere. I don’t have these issues with fff or boxyluxe.

Diana

This is technically incorrect. Ipsy Shopper and Offers are STILL US ONLY. Anyone outside of the US trying to add to their cart will find the buttons greyed out.

Ipsy shopper does not ship to Alaska.

Sorry for the error. I’ve updated the post to reflect this is for US subscribers only.
