HSN Look Good Feel Better Box Review

HSN Box - Info Sheet Front

On the back of the box is a list of the products included and their ingredients.

HSN Box - Coupon 1 Front

This box came with a $10 off coupon that works on any single item over $10. I was super excited to use this, but when it came time to check out I had issues. Upon reading the fine print, this $10 off coupon only works when it is on the first shipment of a product you set up for auto ship. Essentially, this coupon is worthless to me.

HSN Box - Coupon 2 Front

I also received a more general $10 off $30 coupon, too.

HSN Box - Beauty Blender Sponge Sample Front

Beautyblender Sponge Sample – Buy the full-size sponge for $20

If you’re interested in trying out a beautyblender, this sample isn’t really going to be helpful. I did find the experience to be a bit fun, however! This sample arrives with water in the top separated from the sponge sample.

HSN Box - Beauty Blender Sponge Sample Front 2

You press the water, and it falls down to soak the sponge.

HSN Box - Beauty Blender Sponge Sample in Hand Front

You press the sponge a few times to get it to soak in the water.

And then you are left with a sponge that has doubled in size! This sample sponge is flimsy and won't be very effective, however, I can tell you as a beautyblender user for the past four (maybe more?) years, the sponge really does help you to get an amazing finish with your foundation and concealer! You can also use it to pick up setting powder to help you bake your makeup, which is something I have been into lately.

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in Precious Petal, .22 oz – Estimated Value $19 (linked to the same product in a different shade)

First off, yay for a full-size lip gloss! I also consider this to be a somewhat luxe brand, as it is sold at the department stores and growing up I could never afford it. The packaging is lovely, with the mirror on the side and the gold top, and I think the shade Precious Petal is a great nude that should work for most skin tones. It is a pale nude with gold shimmer, and this would be a great lip gloss on those no makeup days where you still want a little something.

HSN Box - Grande Lip Plumper Swatch Top

Here it is swatched. Above the full swatch, you can barely see some shimmer, that was me trying to blend out the lip gloss to show how it will most likely wear down.

HSN Box - Elysee Daily Facial Scrub Front

Elysée LuminAcai™ Daily Facial Scrub, 1 oz – Estimated Value $2.87 (buy the 8 oz version for $22.99)

This facial scrub is infused with acai berry, and though it does have some mild exfoliation I found it to be very gentle on my skin. This left my skin feeling clean but not tight, and I definitely think this would be an effective daily cleanser.

HSN Box - Grande Lip Plumper Front HSN Box - Grande Lip Plumper Open in Hand Front

Grande Cosmetics Hydrating Lip Plumper in Clear, .05 oz – Estimated Value $16.07 (buy the full-size version for $27)

So this is confusing - this is definitely not the full-size product, but it has the same listed size as the full-size lip gloss. I guess it is possible this contains the full-size amount of product in a smaller packaging, but I doubt it—so I based the estimated value off the .084 size of the other lip plumpers. This is probably the most well-known product from the Grande Cosmetics line, but it doesn’t react well with my skin. This lip plumper crosses the line from tingling to burning, and I have noticed that usually after using I will get a pimple right next to my lip in the next day. I know a lot of people swear by this, though.

HSN Box - Korres Shower Gel in Lily Bouquet Front

Korres Shower Gel in Lily Bouquet, 2.7 oz – Estimated Value $4.60 (buy the full-size version for $23)

Different scents were possible for this shower gel, and I received the scent "lily bouquet." I found it to be a soft, feminine floral scent that wasn't too strong. This left my skin feeling clean and softly scented, and this size should last me through more than a few showers!

HSN Box - StriVectin SD Intensive Concentrate Front

StriVectin SD Advanced™ Intensive Concentrate, 0.35 oz – Estimated Value $13.82 (buy the 2 oz version for $79)

Wrinkles aren’t really a skincare concern I have right now, but I know Strivectin is top notch brand. This absorbed quickly into my skin and left it feeling soft, and it didn’t irritate my skin either. I am thinking of holding onto this sample and using it on my incisions once they fully heal in the hopes of diminishing the scars!

The Verdict: Wow - this was such a good box for the price! I enjoyed the full-size lip gloss and discovering new brands like the Elysee scrub, while still appreciating well-known brands like Korres and StriVectin. The beauty blender sample is the only product that is a miss for me, and I honestly think the box would have been just as great without it. The real bummer is the strings attached with using the $10 off coupon—I was so excited for it, only for it to be essentially unusable. HSN said this box has a retail value of $71.81, and by my math, the box has a value of $56.36, not including the $10 off coupon or the beauty blender sample.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, there is 1 box still available!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $12.95 ($9.95 + $3 shipping) and has a total value of $56.36. That means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Lip gloss: $4.36
  • Facial scrub: $0.66
  • Lip Pumper: $3.69
  • Shower Gel: $1.05
  • StriVectin: $3.17
  • Beautyblender: Not counted towards the value

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

For the price of making the special packaging for the sponge sample they could have just given out a usable sponge.

Fabulous box. My friend and I each bought one. But she was way smarter than I and used the $10 off $30 beauty coupon to buy 4 more. And by then the price had dropped to $7.95 with free shipping, so each box ended up costing $5.45 delivered! I wish I’d thought of that! With the exception of the blender everything is so useful.

I loved this box. And I got it for $7.95, shipping included, which made it an even better deal.
Regarding the coupon: it worked for me on a regular purchase, but it had to be for a product with full price and no discount at all, which was kind of hard to find at this time of the year. I ended up getting a travel size Korres body butter to go along with the body wash.
