Pistachio Brownie Black Tea, 20g- Buy 85g for $9.75

I generally dislike chocolate flavored teas but this one intrigued me because there is actually zero chocolate in the ingredients. Instead, this tea is a mix of Pu'erh, whole pistachios, natural pistachio flavor, and rose petals. I stepped this one for the recommended 5 minutes and added in a little bit of raw sugar. It somehow did have a barely-there chocolate taste, but I rather liked it when blended with the nuts and rose flavors. It was a very smooth cup of tea with a nice little boost of caffeine.

Decaf Chai Twist Black Tea, 20g- Buy 85g for $17.28

My husband Will absolutely loves chai teas so I let him be the tester on this one. He liked the addition of the crisp peppermint flavor and found the chai spices to be bright and bold. He recommended it with a little bit of brown sugar and your favorite creamer. Will also asked me to mention that since this chai is decaf he can enjoy it before bed, something he has never been able to indulge in because chai is usually pretty caffeinated.

Hazelnut Crisp Rooibos Blend, 20g- Buy 85g for $16.28

Hazelnut is another flavor I tend to avoid in foods and drinks but I couldn't resist all the flowers in this blend! Just LOOK AT THEM! Those are whole rose buds, jasmine petals, cornflower petals, and calendula petals my friends! I was honestly thinking that the bag was mislabeled because when I think of hazelnut I think of fall nights, rich desserts, and other significantly less flowery things. This brew was so flowery and beautiful. I honestly didn't notice much hazelnut at all, but that might be enhanced if you added a creamer, which I did not. This would be a beautiful tea for brewing in a clear glass pot so you and your guests could appreciate its beauty as well as its flavor.

Organic First Flush Reserve Black Tea, 20g- Buy 85g for $22.26

What this tea lacks in visuals (compared to the others this month) it makes up for in flavor. I tend to love Darjeeling tea so it was no surprise that this was my favorite selection this month. This black tea was super clean and smooth and had distinct floral notes. I enjoyed it by itself, then with a little raw sugar, even though they recommend no add-ins. I would also guess that this tea would also shine with just a little bit of creamer, but whatever you do do not add much of anything to this beauty because you will risk masking the incredible flavor.

Field to Cup earl grey bag Field to Cup earl grey tea

Earl De Creme Black Tea, 40g- Buy 85g for $10.90

Earl Grey is my absolute favorite tea. The mix of bergamot and black tea? Always a good choice. This is a super creamy version, which tastes like I already added my favorite almond milk but without that extra step. It has beautiful blue mallow flowers that add to its beauty when brewed in my clear teapot. The bergamot is bold and highly aromatic, just the way I like it. Lucky for me this bag is twice the size of the normal bags sent with this box so I get to enjoy this for a long a time!

Tea; Earl Grey; Hot.– Captain Jean-Luc Picard, ca. 2395

Verdict: Field to Cup was filled with beautiful, high-quality teas this month. I actually loved each and every one of them! They estimate that in this size box you can brew between 60-96 cups of tea which is enough to enjoy solo as well as share for quite some time. My favorites would be the First Flush Reserve and the absolutely massive bag of Earl De Creme. This box was a great chance to try out teas I never would have even considered buying from their names only. I loved how this box felt both thoughtfully packages and curated. The zip bags were minimal and had extremely detailed labels in case I lose the brewing guide, and everything was well done, right down to the cute strings around the roll of brewing bags.
