Facetory SEVEN LUX November 2018 Review
A welcome card was included in this month’s box providing general directions for masking. You want to be sure to cleanse and tone prior to the application of each mask. Each month, an information card is included outlining the benefit and directions of each mask. This was very helpful as I tried each mask. I loved how they listed out the key ingredients and their specific benefits.
This month is pretty special because it is Facetory's 2-year anniversary box! They included a couple of extra goodies in celebration.
Yellow Velcro Bow
It took me a little research to figure out what this little bow was used for but it is actually genius! The velcro bow can be used to hold your hair back while you mask! It sticks easily in your hair and slides down the strand and out when you are done!
Duft & Doft Stockholm Rose Nourishing Hand Cream- Estimated Value $1.45 (Buy 1.8 oz here for $8.68)
This tiny little tube is the perfect size for my purse. The formula is creamy and absorbs easily! I enjoy rose scents so this was a nice little treat for me.
Now on to the masks!
FaceTory Oh My GOODNESS Rejuvenating Snail Mask - Listed Value $3.50
I love any mask that has snail secretion in it. I don't have a good reason for this other than I think it is both cool and super gross. WIN-WIN! My skin also likes it as it is a hydration power player and helps with anti-aging. This had a fresh, barely there scent and was covered in a clear serum that absorbed very easily.
23 Years Old Rose Gold 24 Mask- Retail Value $6.00
Oooooooh. This mask felt like luxury. Everything from the outer cover to the rose gold foil mask packaging oozed fancy. Adding to the luxe feel is the addition of gold extract, another anti-aging ingredient. Something to note about this mask is that it does not have a mouth hole. (Meaning your husband tells you over and over that you look like Slenderman.) This was the first mask I opened this month and creepy references aside, I really enjoyed it. The serum was slightly milky and smelled like roses. My skin was less red and super glowing after I used it.
Skin7Teen T'Americano Mask - Listed Value $5.00
I wasn't initially excited about this mask because I am not a coffee fan. I really didn't enjoy the thought of my face smelling like espresso. Eventually, the thought of the two different pre-mask treatments won me over. I applied the first ampoule all over my face and then the other essence to my t-zone only. I let these chill on my skin for a couple of minutes then applied the mask. My concerns about a coffee smell were misplaced because I didn't smell anything in this mask that reminded me of Starbucks. The mask didn't have much of a smell at all and left my skin bright and hydrated.
Coscodi Sparkling Wine Sheet Mask - Listed Value $3.50
This mask was the only one this month that I was a little let down by. I really like wine beauty products by the scent is difficult to do correctly in my opinion. This mask smelled less like wine and more like artificial grape. I do love that they included a wine mask in their birthday box because it really feels celebratory! Scent aside, this mask does have actual wine extract which contains resveratrol, a natural antioxidant. It also has rose water for hydration.
XOY Dark Choco Mask - Listed Value $4.50
Another mask I was less than enthusiastic about. Sorry guys, I think I was a little bit of a downer this month! I REALLY disliked the idea of a chocolate scented mask. Again, this mask did not smell like the food it referenced. Yay! It had a very faint creamy scent and a heavier white serum. For that reason, I recommend you use it before bed because the serum left a little bit of residue on my face. I don't mind that before sleeping, but under makeup, it is a nightmare! Cocoa is another antioxidant and also has caffeine which energizes your skin's elasticity. This left my skin calm and hydrated.
Enature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask - Listed Value $3.50
Yes! I was so excited to see a mask with my beloved Cica. I first became familiar with this ingredient from using the amazing DR. JART+Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream. This plant is incredible if you have skin that likes to turn red on you for no reason. This mask is basic and no-frills, which I often appreciate. It has a green and citrusy scent and left my skin looking calm and happy. I want to buy about 100 more of these.
Duft and Doft Hydra Soother Deep Hydration Mask - Listed Value $4.00
Another solid soothing mask rounds out this month's selections. This serum contains aloe and artichoke leaf extract. Nothing super exciting here in terms of packaging, bells, or whistles, but this mask does its job well. After I peeled it off, my skin was hydrated and smooth and ready for my night moisturizer.
Verdict: Facetory was full of surprises this month! I ended up liking the masks I was sort of dreading, and disliking the wine one I was sure I would love! My boo Cica made an appearance in what might be my new favorite sheet mask. I also experienced a mouth-less mask for the first time and really enjoyed the 3 part serum mask.
