Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw – Retail Value $49

All subscribers receive this item. Annual subscribers get to pick their color. Either this beige shade or a grey shade.)

If you aren’t familiar with Mark & Graham, it’s a Williams-Sonoma brand that specializes in gifts and monograms!

This blanket measures 50”w x 60”h. Here I am holding it up to give you a better sense of scale:

The material is 100% acrylic and super soft! I’ve had it wrapped around my shoulders as I wrote this entire review. Kind of like this picture:

But without Buckles in my arms the whole time. 🙂

It’s a lovely accent throw, too. I love the fringe and the neutral colors, and I’m trying to add more warm and cozy accents to our grey living room, so this is perfect.

AHAVA Hydration Cream Mask – Retail Value $33

I love a quick mask, and this one works in 3 minutes! (Alternatively, you can use it as an overnight sleeping mask, so no worries if you accidentally leave it on for more than 3 minutes.)

For a true test of this mask, I applied it to only half of my face post-shower (when my skin is at its driest). The results? I only have good things to say about this mask. I could tell an immediate difference in hydration and softness in my skin after I removed the mask, and it stayed that ways hours later! (It’s a light hydration, too. No greasy finish.) I also was happy to note that this face mask formula is lightly scented compared to Ahava’s hand creams.

Blaq Eye Mask (5 masks) – Retail Value $29

These eye masks are formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Activated Charcoal. They’re designed to help de-puff eyes. I’ve tried a lot of eye gels in my subscription box review days, and some of the gel ones don’t stay put, but these remained in place for the full 15 minutes. Personally, I don’t have under-eye puffiness (just super dark undereye circles), so I couldn’t notice a difference after using them, but I’m guessing they could be a gamechanger if you wake up with puffy eyes!

Thrive Causemetics Eye Brightener Highlighting Stick – Retail Value $24

I’ve sampled this line before, and I’m so impressed with their formulas. This creamy eye crayon is vegan + cruelty-free; paraben, sulfate, + latex + petrochemical-free.

And good to know, the bottom part is a built-in sharpener:

It’s a subtle highlighter on my skin tone, which is great for me because I can use it for every day, less-makeup looks. The formula has almost a powdery finish, but it’s still really easy to blend.

You can use this as an upper or lower eyeliner, applied to the brow bone, lids and even the inner corners of your eyes to make them appear larger.

I have a few pairs of super cozy Bearpaw slippers, so when I saw the brand would be featured in the Winter FabFitFun box, it was a super easy decision to pick this set!

And that faux sherpa lining on the headband is just as cozy and warm as it looks!

Richer Poorer Over The Knee Socks – Retail Value $24

Can you tell I was cold when I made my box selections? I made this box as cozy as I could!

These grey socks are made from recycled yarn (55% polyester, 40% cotton, and 5% spandex.)

They’re soft, stretchy, and stayed up all day long without feeling too tight on my calves. I love these for wearing around the house with pjs or cuffed over boots.

(I think the over the boot cuff look is great too if the socks otherwise might be a bit too tight on your legs.)

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo – Retail Value $44

I was SO excited to see full-size Oribe in this box! It alone covers almost the entire cost of the box! (And full-size Oribe in the subscription box world is rare!) Oribe is such a luxe haircare treat – when my husband Eric got his first Oribe sample in a subscription box recently, I half-joked with him that he now got to experience rich person hair! 🙂

Anyway – let’s talk formula. This dry shampoo is an ultra fine mist that goes on clear. (No worries about a white finish that you need to brush in.) It absorbs oil and freshens hair without adding any texture. (This is pretty rare in the dry shampoo world – usually most formulas add a little grit.) And of course, there’s the Oribe scent – it’s amazing! If you want to freshen up your hair without adding texture – this is perfect.

Chic & Tonic Coasters – Retail Value $18

When selecting my items for this box, I was going for a cozy theme, and I think these urban rustic coasters are a perfect addition – especially when you add a warm cup of tea!

One thing to note – you may want to add adhesive felt/plastic/cork dots to the undersides of these coasters depending on what surfaces you plan to use them on.

Anthropologie Mer Sea Beauty Coconut Sugar Sea Whip Body Cream – Retail Value $24

(All subscribers will get this or Way of Will Essential Oils. Annual subscribers get to pick their item.)

Confession – I picked this at first just because of the packaging! It’s holographic and feels so perfect for winter! And fortunately, the lotion inside is just as good as the packaging. It’s a lightweight formula that absorbs almost instantly (no greasy feel whatsoever), and the coconut sugar scent it fragrant and sweet. (If you aren’t a big fan of fragrances though, I would avoid this selection as the scent lingers.)

Verdict: This box has a value of $290! I think that’s amazing for $49.99! (And this is actually the lowest-value option of the box. Depending on your selections, the value could be as high as $335.) At $49.99 for this box, that works out to $5.55 an item – so impressive!

Now that FabFitFun is offering more customization in items than ever before, I think it’s kind of on the subscriber to make the box feel curated. I went with a cozy curation theme, and I’m very happy with the results!

  1. The throw is terrible…it’s literally see through and paper thin; and loosely knit…it snags super easily!

    I have already left mine at the garbage. L

    • I really hope you’re being overly dramatic saying you threw it in the garbage. There are people who would be so grateful for any blanket even a thin loose knit one and even more so since it is new it could be used by someone as a holiday gift if you would donate it. Why anyone would throw something out that is perfectly usable by someone else is completely beyond me.

    • Just a chime in—I love the throw and it is now a bedding staple. Although it is thin, it still is cozy and soft. I’m sorry you don’t like it and wish that I could have swapped something with you instead of it going in the bin. I think this kind of thing is an acquired style and some love it and some leave it. I love it and consider it one of the best FFF finds yet ❤️

  2. I chose the mystery item and recieved; spongelle body contouring buffer in beach grass and Doucce punk volumizer mascara. Happy with that.

    • I wish I would have gotten that for the mystery item but I received the Exfolikate. Not exciting but I will use it so it’s better than something that I would not use at all.

      • i received a brightening serum. i’d have been really happy with Exfolikate, so it’s not too bad.

    • I got a beautiful gray black and white scarf I absolutely love it so much!!

  3. This was my first box and i love it! I don’t really have time for makeup so I’m giving my sons girlfriend the pallet, mascara, and highlighter and i still feel like i made out pretty good. I love ahava, so that was a score for me. The dry shampoo is the first ive ever used that didn’t mage my hair feel gross lol. The hair mask is amazing. I like the sponge thing lol. I’m not sure what ill do with the essential oils but ill figure it out. Was probably the thing i was least excited about. Haven’t tried the eye masks yet but I’m a mom to twin toddlers so i feel like theyll definitely come in handy at some point. Oh and the blanket, I’m giving that to my mom 😁

  4. I’m confused by my box (as it is listed online). I picked the hair mask, the jewelry portfolio, PUR. It then shows the throw, Thrive, Blaq, and Ahava.

    I then have the “mystery item” and also a Way of Will oil duo. I don’t remember seeing that oil as an option. Plus, since I still have mystery listed I seem to have too many items.

    I did just sign up for annual with the $20 add on. I need this like a hole in the head but it’s a pretty good deal.

    • everyone gets the throw, blaq, and ahava! picking between the oil and lotion was only a choice for annual subscribers, so if you are just quarterly FFF will pick for you

  5. I’m a previous subscriber. I clicked on the link to look and and didn’t sign up and they charge me!!! WTF??

    • You are the 3rd person ive heard about fff charging for just looking. Wth

    • I think this is what has happened to me. I canceled after I received the Fall Box and then got charged recently for the Winter Box. I’ve been “chatting” with customer service and they can’t seem to give me a straight answer.

      • Yup! They do this ALL the time! They absolutely refuse to refund!!!!!

      • By “chatting” do you mean email or is there a chat feature I’m missing?
        My mystery item was a serum in a yellow bottle…. The rubber stopper is defective and when i opened my box it has leaked EVERYWHERE! To the point where the throw is soaked and all the boxes of the other items are oily…. 😕
        I sent an email but the response I’m getting is that they are busy and to read the faq.
        Not a great experience for a first time box.

        • There is online chat. I don’t know what Ramy meant but it’s an available feature.

    • So I ended up with two boxes…I still can’t figure out how that happened…but now that I’m reading these comments, I think the same thing may have happened to me.

      • Happened to me too. I received the winter box today, and have no clue what happened. Then saw these comments, and yes explains it. No longer looking at any more boxes!

    • This happened to me too last week! I immediately cancelled 5 min later. Today I found out that my unsubscribed box is coming tomorrow. Im going to cancel the charge off my cc and getting hold of fff with the threat to complain to BBB. SO PISSED!!!

    • That has happened to me twice with Ipsy… they re-activate your subscription if you look at the items they have selected. That app was deleted.

    • I wonder if everyone got the whish mask as their mystery item… I just found out today thats what I’m getting, if anyone got anything different for their item please let us know i will be sure to also! 🙂

      • So I ended up getting the Tarte powder foundation brush! As my mystery gift I am so excited! I Normally HATE getting brushes in boxes as I’m super picky but I’m really happy with this and I have not heard anybody get this yet

  6. Thank you everyone for your comments on your boxes. I’m always hit and miss with FabFitFun because I have very sensitive skin and don’t wear a lot of eye makeup. I wasn’t too excited about the spoilers early on and now seeing that some of the items have been received broken and substitutions have been made, I opted to cancel this months box.

  7. I just got my box today. I’ve been getting FFF for the past year and the majority of the boxes have been great. The add-ons have been the best since this season had amazing ones for holiday gifts. They sent the wrong color Mark & Graham throw, but this is the first item they’ve messed up for me this whole year, so it isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things. My husband actually wanted it for his la-z boy chair in his “man cave” so it worked out well. I was really happy with this seasonal box, as there weren’t a lot of super wintery items as I live in the south where we don’t really get winter weather. The Mer-Sea/Anthropologie cream, Moroccan Gold Hair Mask and Blaq eye masks are the best items in the box. I have found this box has lots of great holiday/birthday gift potentials so I might keep it for another year.

  8. Received my box today and I am very disappointed. The blanket is scratchy and thin, the pinky of the left Bear Paw glove is sewn completely shut, jade roller is busted, got another Spongelle item… I appreciate that they did not send the coasters if they were not up to par, but at least another home item. Maybe one that doesn’t make me itch. I would cancel but have already paid for the full year up front.

    • Have they decided to not send out the coasters? Was this something new that just came out? What a bummer, if true. What are they replacing them with? You would think they would email those that had picked that item.

  9. I’m so bummed I didn’t get the serum like others on here that opted for the mystery item(s). I got some mascara and a freaking spongelle. Ugh. I’m done with FFF after the spring box, and I will happily cancel.

    • which mascara/spongelle did you receive? i got the serum and would MUCH rather have preferred spongelle

  10. This is the worst box ever. Except for the Ahava and the Oribe it’s nothing but cheap junk. I’ve canceled my subscription. I think I’m done with these boxes.

    • I received my box today and cancelled. It was not worth the money at all.

    • Agreed … haven’t been happy with the last two.. no holiday fun items ? I’m canceling also .. I’m sorry but other boxes more exciting n more fun ..disappointing.

  11. So my box jusy arrived with the wrong add-ons. I emailed customer service but I want to talk to a human being. Does a CS # exist? Of course the missing items are Christmas gifts!

    • I’ve had items that needed to be replaced a couple of times and have always had great experiences doing the live chats. I got my items replaced and shipped to me no later than two weeks. The customer service has always been fantastic. I hope things work out for you. My box hasn’t shipped yet and it’s driving me nuts.

    • I canceled my subscription after they messed up my add-ons. I had so many, it took two pages to print them out. They didn’t pack anything on the second page. Despite chats, emails in which I enclosed photos and scans of all the info they needed, forum chats, and weekly follow up emails because they didn’t respond back when they said they would, it took them a MONTH to acknowledge because their warehouse manager had to “confirm” the issue. So, basically, they were accusing me of lying and dragging their feet. By the time they admitted they messed up, they couldn’t fulfill my complete order. The one item I wanted most was no longer available. This means they either sent it the the wrong person or sold more than they had (annual subscriber who ordered the first day). I eventually got a credit for the missing item and a very late, very generic, pat apology. If they had acknowledged the mistake from the beginning and attempted to make it right even if they didn’t have all the items available anymore, I would have been OK. But refusing to acknowledge issues for weeks is inexcusable. I think they are good at handling the standard box items when things go wrong with them but they left a really bad impression with me.

      • something similar happened to me with consecutive add-on and edit sales. Damaged items and missing items from large purchases. Kept getting bounced around. Then after about the fourth sale getting screwed up, they said they’d no longer replace my items and canceled me! I’ve realized I don’t miss FFF for the most part. Enjoying some new boxes instead.

    • I don’t think there’s anyone to speak with. I had two random add on items in my box but was missing two items I ordered (maybe they switched our add ons!!). I emailed CS and got a fairly quick response that I needed to send them a picture of the packing slip. I sent a picture of the slip and CS responded pretty quickly that my missing items would be re-sent. So – save your packing slip!!

      I also complained to CS that I got a face mask as my mystery item which seemed pretty redundant considering a face mask was already included in the box.

      This was NOT the first time FFF has either failed to include an item, sent the wrong item or sent a broken item. I’m glad their CS always seems willing to make it right but it has become a problem that almost every time I get a box I have to contact CS.

      I’ll probably just cancel after my subscription ends because it is not worth the effort.

    • My box was missing $64.xx worth of add ons. Not happy. So I’ll give them a few days to clear it up and then I am just disputing the charges.

  12. come on! I live in Florida where we have 1 cold day every 2 years

    • I live in Florida too and I chose the bearpaw set, i do go north for small trips in the fall and winter to visit family, and on the few cold days we do get, i will have something cute to wear with my 1 winter sweater i own. I’m happy about it, and over the knee socks are perfect for Florida winters too because i don’t really own any long pants, i can still wear the socks kinda scrunched with boots and denim shorts and a sweater, or with pajama shorts on the very few cold nights we have.

    • Lol You are in the minority. Feel lucky. The high here is 22 and that’s without other factors added in. Most of us need to wear multiple layers. If I could afford a heated jacket, I’d own it. If only they’d make heated leggings. I have health issues, so my body temperature drops 20-30 degrees when I step outside and it takes hours for me to warm back up.

    • Not even the seasonal customizations are available?

      • The seasonal are avalable but you have to do it with customer service rep.

    • I also received this email as well. When you say there is no customization, do you mean absolutely zero? Like even the customization options usually available to all members? Trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger or not. Thanks!

      • I think they mean the customization is closed for the winter box. You should be able to customize the next box.

        • Yep I just reactivated for the offer and it says the customization period is closed. Dang!

          • Try contacting their sales rep, i chatted with someone in their website and was able to chose my items (as seasonal subscriber) with her.

      • When I signed up it said customization was closed, but I emailed customer service and they let me choose my options and customized it on their backend. Would definitely try to do that!

    • I resubbed recently and was able to customize my box, just the same selections seasonal can make.

    • Received my box but my candle set was missing tried to email no response

  14. I love this box! I picked all the same items as you. I actually subscribed because of the Oribe — I agree with you, it’s such a great deal to get a full-sized Oribe in a box like this! I’m super excited to get the BearPaw gloves and headband, too.

  15. I received my shipping notice yesterday and my box today! I am happy with all items. I did not choose the wood coasters but did receive a notice that said the coasters were not up to their standards and whomever chose those would received a mystery gift worth $25 +.

    • I figured there would be something wrong with them. They didn’t look like quality coasters.

    • My box came yesterday. I went for the mystery item , since the other choices didn’t appeal. It’s Way of Will serum for brightening.
      But will everyone get the same mystery item?
      Maybe not.
      My jade roller came broken…snapped into two pieces. Expecting a new one.
      The blanket is kinda thin, but pretty.
      I’ve tried the eye masques, body cream, and ahava product & love them.

  16. Sort of annoying how similar this is to PopSugar. Usually FFF is the clear winner, but not this season.

    • Agreed – FFF and PS are very similar this season (throw, eye masks, essential oils, necklace), but PS is about 1000 times better in my opinion. FFF is just not cutting it this season.

  17. I live in Canada so… This box plus my add on (why did I get an add on when it’s in US dollars!?) is $112.00. Maybe not relevant to most of you but I’m really not jazzed about the lame and poor quality items of this box. I don’t need to be grateful or anything else I am not if I’m spending my hard earned money on something in good faith. They could do better.

    • I hear you fellow Canadian! It costs too much for us to get this box of meh items. Love the add ons though. It’s too bad we couldn’t just shop for those.

      • Totally agrees but at the same time i tried to find a subscription box i like in Canada and there is nothing!

      • Usually I had been quite happy with the selections given since I am a seasonal subscriber now for one year but feel that also being Canadian I (and probably most other Canadian subscribers) feel ‘fobbed off’ and given the meh items ie. lipsticks (both fall and winter customizations had lipsticks and I got both) This is grounds for cancelling my subscription. Note to FFF – NO MORE LIPSTICKS PLEASE!!!!!

  18. I’m curious as to how they choose which order to ship boxes out to subscribers. I know the whole “1st batch because of being annual, etc & 2nd batch because of new subscribers, etc”. But, I’m thinking it’s alphabetical because my last name starts with an S and my boxes always seem to ship at the tail end of the first batch since I always get add-ons.

    • I am an annual subscribers and no matter what my box is always late. I got my fall box on October 2nd! In the spring I ordered add ins for the summer box hoping to get it before I went on vacation on June 20th, no such luck. Not only did it come at the end of June, two of my add ins were stained and needed to be replaced. I had to take pictures and all this other crap and eventually I was told they sent the new items, which arrive on August 8th🙄. I’m starting to realize there is practically zero reason to be an annual subscriber. We get to select options but when I logged on, the coasters were already sold out. I paid to make selections, why should I have to sit on my computer waiting to make selections the second customization opens?? Ridiculous.

    • My last name starts with Z, and I received my shipping notification yesterday. So I don’t think it’s alphabetical — trust me I know how annoying alphabetically ordered things can be 🙂

  19. Wait, so what is the mystery item? It must be different for everyone since it’s not even listed in the packet that explains all the items?

    • I received mine today; it is a Way of Will Face Brightening Serum.

  20. Any idea what the’mystery’ product will be? For annual subscribers we had the choice to pick between the coasters, the Brooke Burke sliders, or the lipstick, OR a mystery item (a different option from letting FFF select for you).

    • My mystery item was a spongelle thing? But I also received a Doucce mascara because of the whole coaster thing… not a huge doucce fan but the packaging is SUPER cute so I’m ready to give it a chance, lol!

    • I got the exfolikate. This would be exciting if I still wasn’t going through the last one

  21. I have just taken the plunge and ordered my first FFF box. It will be the first seasonal box I have subscribed to… I don’t know why I’ve had an aversion to seasonal boxes. Anyway, I ordered the Winter box only because I like to try things before committing. I’m excited for the box though. I chose:

    the hair mask for my mom
    Oribe dry shampoo for me (I love pretty much all things Oribe as it works well with my fine hair)
    the socks – I hate cold, so tall socks are my winter bff

    As for the other items I wasn’t able to customize, I am hoping for the BB sliders and essential oils. The color of the throw will only decide who I gift it to. My only disappointment is seeing that, according to the shipping schedule, my box “should ship” by Dec. 25. As I was going through the sign-up process there was a note somewhere that lead me to believe my box would ship much sooner. I wanted to use some of the items for Christmas gifts, so if the box ships mid-December that will dampen my excitement for the box. I will just have to wait and see what happens.

  22. On the customization with the lipstick/coasters/fitness disks, I selected the “mystery choice” (from what I understood it is NOT “choose for me” because that was a separate option). Does anyone know what that “mystery choice” item is? Not on the leaflet

  23. Was about to actually purchase that Thrive highlighter (my one from CauseBox finally panned!). SO, that is -$24, used the $10/off coupon, so basically paid $16 total for everything else? WHAT. A. STEAL. I am THRILLED.

    Legit, that Thrive highlighter stick works GREAT as an undereye liner to make you look more awake during the work week. I love it.

  24. It’s funny, I think we all go in box cycles. I have had a falling out with PopSugar and Oui Please and have been loving FFF since I became an annual subscriber earlier this year. This box has wowed me – I love the throw. The funny thing is that I was having a hard time choosing color and came to the same conclusion as this reviewer. Our living room is all gray and was loving it but thought we needed more warmth this winter so chose the beige!
    I am so excited to have a full size Oribe for $10 – have always just used samples. I adore their smell. I love the socks for my winter Hunter boots – perfect. Everything about this box suits me well. I even love the jewelry roll – I have been looking to try a new try of organizer for travel.
    The only thing I won’t use is the cream, putting that up for swap.

  25. So glad I grabbed this instead of PSMH! I got the Oribe, hat/gloves, and socks. I’m seasonal, and the only thing I won’t be happy with is the stupid sliders, any of the other selections for the last 2 items will be great.

  26. Not impressed with this box. Nothing jumps out as a big “WOW” as in previous boxes.

    • I agree. If the spring box isn’t a hit, I won’t be re-subscribing. Quality of the products seem to be lacking too.

    • This box is just lacking. I love the oribe but I could just buy that without getting a sub. So disappointed.

      • Hi. I have a question. So I’m still rather new to fabfitfun, this winter box will be my 3rd box. There summer box was fantastic and I don’t expect all the boxes to be that great like the Summer one was. The winter box isn’t so great so my question is out of the four boxes a year how many of those are normally great?

  28. I’m excited about this box. A nice throw, I always love eye masks, I’ve wanted to try a jade roller for a long time, a full sized fancy dry shampoo, and some fun makeup/skincare items. The only thing I wouldn’t be excited about are the essential oils but that’s because I have zero idea what i wold do with them.. this box is a win for me!

I’m surprised no one has mentioned that the lotion option Liz selected contains xylitol, which is toxic to dogs (so don’t let your pup lick you after putting the lotion on!) – over on the Reddit beauty boxes forum there has been quite a lot of talk about it, and how between the lotion and the essential oils this particular box is not pet-friendly.

    • It’s a teeth-friendly alternative sweetener, I wonder why it’s in a body lotion??

      • It’s also used in skin care as a humectant.

    • To be fair, most skin products would be toxic to dogs if licked like retinols etc. And as for essential oils many are animal friendly if used correctly. I wouldnt feed my dogs raisins but you can be 100% sure I’m making my mothers favorite cookies this weekend with them! Just be smart with these items and you will be fine.

      • Good points! But the essential oils in this item (eucalyptus and citrus) are dangerous to diffuse around cats, at least. Definitely something important to be aware of!

        (Not sure about dogs, but be careful and definitely try to avoid diffusing around your furry buddies!)

  31. As always, the review has me more excited for a box I had been feeling lukewarm about. My only regret is choosing the jade roller over the socks, but I’ll try to swap for them.

    • If you ever have any puffiness in your face or around your eyes at all you will LOVE the roller! I thought it was all hype, but I received one in a surprise Bless box over the summer. It stays cold all the time and it feels like heaven when my eyes are puffy. You can either use it by itself or what I usually do is put on my lotion or serum and then use it right after that to kind of press it into my skin. I just roll it all over my face and it feels amazing! Just try it once and I bet you’ll be sold 🙂

  32. I thought these didn’t even start shipping until December, some people already getting shipping notices??

    • I am annual and will be lucky if mine ships in 6 weeks. But I have lost so much interest in FFF that I no longer care.

      I am more excited for Happy Rebel, PS Neiman Marcus, Julep, Book of the Month and the PS Winter box.

      I think I am on FFF burnout. I love them but I need a break because the boxes are getting monotonous.

      • I cancelled this FFF Winter and got the Popsugar Winter instead! I am excited about that one, I am also getting Margot Elena, Glossybox Holiday, and some other good deals! I don’t understand why the Winter box for FFF would be so strange and bland. You would think with Holidays coming up, that choices for cool designs on gear, fun new products, and/or gift sets are endless!!!

    • I received a shipping notice and it said it’s supposed to arrive by Friday!!! I’m so excited. But yes was surprised since the website said they would ship next month.

    • Annuals ship anytime between the day after billing and Dec 10 according to their website.

  33. So excited for my box! We selected all the same items in the same colors other than the hand cream which I know will be too scented for me (though I have a ton of essential oils so maybe I did click it, we will see!). So happy the coasters were sold out because I cant wait to see the bite lippies instead. That throw is such a pretty texture too! I dont think my dogs will let me enjoy it without being in my arms though

  34. For people who missed out on coaster, stop by at any xmas tree selling patch and they will cut you fresh coaster, for free. We do this every xmas season. We buy xmas tree, and the guy always cut us four “coasters” from the end of xmas tree trunk. We go home with tree and “coasters” and decorate/paint them. We put our “coasters” to xmas tree as an ornament. Dont be heartbroken, guys who sell xmas trees will be happy to cut you the coasters of your choice for free.

  35. This box seems generally well rounded but for long in the tooth sub box buyers like it’s a bit repetitive. We just got fingerless gloves from FFF a few years ago, Ahava lotion and eye masks are pretty common, etc.

    • Every time I get those Blaq eye masks, I give them away.

  37. I love the cozy feel of this box! I loved it so much, I bought a second for gifts for Christmas. That Oribe really is such a great deal, the full size is $44, so for just a few dollars more I have tons of gifts to share! The Bearpaw set will make a great stocking stuffer for my teenage daughter, the lipstick and highlighter too. The blanket will make a great gift for the white elephant exchange in my family.

  38. I think people are going to be disappointed in those coasters. When Liz doesn’t say much that’s usually a sign. No grip, lightly sanded, and doesn’t appear to have a protective coating. I’d be interested to know what people think in the summer when the cups start sweating.

  39. Thanks Liz for the awesome review! I happy about everything in this box. I have a couple different choices, but as far as the Ahava goes, I love all of their products and am always happy to receive them! I can’t wait to try the eye brightening stick too. The only thing I can do without is the Blaq eye masks. I am very lucky not to have puffiness or dark circles, so I will probably gift them.

    • I feel the same and I’m in New York were it is very cold lol. I found myself only wanting the add ons, so i cancelled and ended up getting the EC Winter surprise box instead. Totally different boxes but i am so glad I cancelled as well.

  42. FFFs obsession with Ahava is the main reason I am having second thoughts about reupping after this box. I’m having trouble finding people to give it too! No one I know wants it! I donated the last Ahava thing I got. Enough already!! And the same with Blaq; that is one of the poorest quality brands there is! I wish I could opt out of receiving both those items.
    All I’m really looking forward to this time is the Oribe. Blergh.

    • You should drop it off at a nursing home, between staff and residents it certainly wouldn’t go to waste. A lot of times they have ‘prizes’ for winning games and this would be an awesome gift for someone.

    • I kind of wish I picked the headband and gloves now too. We made a 4 hour drive into the snow the other day and it was cold lol. It will start soon here too though. They look so cozy and comfortable too!

    • I don’t know if you saw their response on the community thread, but there was a problem with the coasters. Apparently, they got a shipment that wasn’t up to snuff. So, they limited it to just the good ones and added the mystery item as a choice.

  47. I am an annual subscriber and unfortunately was 2 days late in selecting my items. I have to say I was disappointed that the coasters were some out already. I really wanted them for my new living room and had to pick lipstick which I already have too many from sub boxes and never wear! They should have had enough of these to go around. Also felt the selections should be more cohesive. It was hard to decide since they were all over the place! I really wanted a jade roller but now I am loving those socks! Also wishing I got the headwrap and gloves instead of the hair mask (which I never use either, what was I thinking??) Just wish the choices were the same type of categories. Still excited to get my box! Thanks for the review!

    • I hear you! I was only 40 minutes late and I still missed the coasters. 🤔

    • I know it makes it harder to choose when the choices are not a cohesive category, but people complain a lot when it is the other way too. When it’s all jewelry or makeup there are always plenty of people who have too much or no interest in the category who are annoyed they can’t choose something they would actually use. I can say they are trying their best, just be glad you aren’t getting stuck with a bunch of stuff you can’t use and get a say in the deeply discounted products you are getting 🙂

      • I agree with you. I’m so happy the choices are not items in the same category. I don’t care for makeup or jewelry. I think FFF did an excellent job with customization this time. I actually picked a second “add on” item in two of the choices. This box looks fabulous! What I can’t use will get gifted for Christmas. FFF continues to be my favorite and best value box!

        • I’ll be surprised if the mystery item is the same for everyone. I went to the conference at the end of the summer that included the ‘build your own box’ experience, and the items from which we selected were primarily items that had appeared in add ons, appeared in box selections, or perhaps were trial batches from partner brands. (The items were all quite nice, not inferior, IMHO.) I am guessing that they are either going to pull from a similar array already within their inventory or that they are going to acquire batches of items from various retailers in order to fill the need for the impromptu ‘mystery item’. Maybe not, but I am interested to see how they handle it, and this is my guess!

        • I just received my box (early!) and my mystery item is a Way of Will Face Brightening Serum, RV $35.

    • Mine just shipped, too! I live in Texas, and the shipping notice says it’ll be here by Wednesday, November 21. Yay! I bet they’re working to get these shipped out fast because people might be buying items for holiday gifts.
