My box hasn’t shipped and they haven’t bothered to respond to my emails. I will call amex tonight and file a dispute charge but it sucks b/c this was my xmas present and I ordered it over 25 days ago 🙁

My friend tried to order it. It gave her an order number and said she had 2 purchases. Her account said that payment was pending. Nothing came out of jar bank account. She emailed customer service and said a lot of people were having problems and they cancelled her order.
It seems to me, they should have fixed the problem rather than canceling her sale. Anyone else have problems? They should honor the price of the day she ordered but that’s probably asking too much from this CS…

I don’t think this is a BOS issue. I had the same problem with my card, because my bank flagged it as possible fraud because I had purchased a number of cyber Monday sales pretty close together. This has become pretty standard practice with banks from my experience, and I don’t mind, because it’s nice to know that they are monitoring for it. Anyway, mine also said payment pending. I emailed (through the BOS website) CS about the issue and that I would call my bank the next day and asked if they would still honor the sale. I called my bank and they took the lock off of my account once I verified that it was me making the purchase. I emailed (through the BOS website) CS again that the issue was cleared up and they could charge my card. CS emailed me back and told me the order was canceled because my payment wouldn’t process, but that I could place a new order and then email them back and they would process a refund for the amount of the cyber Monday deal ($40) once the order was placed. I placed the order, emailed them back and they processed the refund right away. They was no hesitation to honor the sale, I’d have your friend ask them to honor the sale. I’ve had bad CS from BOS in the past, but this time I was very pleased with them. Hope this helps!

Well I don’t know – I also had the same problem and I have used the card since so I don’t think there was a fraud block on it. I decided that it was a sign that I didn’t need another box and besides the ring I wanted was sold out so…
But I am minorly ticked off about it too as I do wish they had contacted me to resolve rather than flat out cancel the order.

Yes! I just pulled up this post to say the same. Additionally I can no longer access the site using the email and password for my account. I’m debating if I want the box enough to contact C.S. but leaning towards a no for the reasons you stated.

Unfortunately, they appear to be out of the s/m regular gold ring. I am set to receive the Rose gold one in s/m for both boxes. I will check tomorrow to see if they get more of the regular gold one in Stock.

Just want to put it out there that I have subscribed on and off to box of style for 2 years… (only subscribed for boxes where I liked the spoilers, then unsubscribed before the next box) and not had an issue. I keep seeing ppl say that they’re not subscribing to this box because they’ve heard it’s so hard to cancel but I’ve never had a problem cancelling. I just emailed to cancel and it was taken care of. Not trying to minimize anyone else’s bad experience! Just sharing my experience as well.

Again with the comments not going through. And I’m not even on a mobile device today! What gives??? It’s sad that the bad CS with BOS is what’s probably keeping a lovely box from selling out. It is a great deal. Even the $25 off was a great deal. I love the Sunday Riley oil, and that’s worth more than the whole box even at full price. But…the stories of abysmal customer service is what has kept me from biting. I doubt I’m alone in that sentiment.

If their CS wasn’t so awful, this box would have sold out by now. The oil alone is a steal. I hope the BOS people take note about that cause and effect. The box is lovely. I could probably use or gift everything in it. But…the cautionary tales from previous subscribers will keep me from signing up. Customer service matters. A lot. I would have absolutely jumped on this deal if not for the fears about their CS. I don’t think I’m alone.

Totally agree. I bought it the day before the $25 off with the free beauty items went live and paid $85. All I read was that the Better than BF deals are the best deals you will get, better than black friday AND cyber Monday so I bit the day before Black Friday. I was kinda miffed when the first deal hit and now I am defintitely not happy. Twenty five bucks would pay for my Ipsy Plus or my Boxy or my BeuatyFix for a month. The money matters to a great deal but not getting “the best deal” is what I think makes it worse.
I’m not usually a complainer, quite the opposite, but just a hint or not plastering best deal you’ll get would have been a bit more to my liking and a few others I’m sure agree.
In the end, I am getting the SR which I was going to buy at full price anyway so I’m “ok” with it, just wish it had shook out differently.

It can be a pain but as long as you follow up and don’t wait for them to put you in that “we cancel everyone the day before we renew” category then you should be fine. This is a great deal and they will not be renewing for awhile so you have plenty of time to cancel!
