Here’s the info card for the box with the product list on the back.

Vegan Cuts nude lip crayon

Axiology Natural Lip Crayon, 0.12 oz. – Retail Value $26.00

The packaging on this lip crayon had me at hello. I love the combination of soft metallic gold, ivory, and black. This crayon has a soft, creamy application and a warm, terracotta peach color. I love that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and palm-oil-free, too.

Aesthetica Color Correcting Concealer Palette, 0.2 oz. – Retail Value $18.00

A little goes a long way when it comes to this creamy pigmented palette! Follow the guide they included to figure out which color to use for whatever issue you’re trying to cover. Weirdly enough, I feel like I’ll use the purple in this palette as an eyeshadow color! It’s so pretty and easy to work with!

Vegan Cuts manna kadar palette

Vegan Cuts manna kadar eyeshadow

Manna Kadar Brow Powder Palette, 0.11 oz. – Retail Value $15.00, Listed Value $21.00

This tiny kit could fit inside a change purse! For that reason, it’s going to be pretty handy for on-the-go touch-ups. The darkest shade is intended to be used to outline brows, the medium shade is for filling brows in, and the light shade is meant to be used as a highlight to define brows. All of the colors are quite matte. The medium shade is actually a little light/reddish compared to the ash-toned browns I typically use on my dark brows, but the darker shade works as a fill-in color for me in a pinch. I do wish it came with a brush—I’ve been a pencil girl for a while, so I had to get a new brow brush for these powders.

Vegan Cuts au naturale powder

Vegan Cuts powder

Au Naturale Pore Minimizing Finishing Powder, 3 g. – Retail Value $26.00

I don’t typically wear finishing powder during the day, but for a special occasion, this powder will come in handy. The packaging is interesting—it’s a pump like you’d see for a liquid, but the formula is a powder. The idea is to pump a bit of the powder out onto a brush and then dust it across your face. The powder is fine and easy to use. It’s translucent on my pale skin, but I’d be interested whether it’s a truly universal shade or not.

Here’s everything swatched! From my wrist, down, you’re seeing:

  • Lip crayon
  • Brow palette highlighter
  • Brow palette brow-filling shade
  • Brow palette brow-outlining shade
  • Green color correcting cream
  • Yellow color correcting cream
  • Purple color correcting cream
  • Red color correcting cream

Vegan Cuts bag

BONUS: MOTD Rose Gold Vegan Leather Canvas Bag – Listed Value $27.00

This bonus canvas bag is great for holding all of the goodies I got in this box, but it’d also be great for keeping my brushes in. MOTD is a brush company, so it makes sense that this bag would be sized well for that purpose. I dig the rose gold, too!

Verdict: I love learning about new vegan/cruelty-free brands via this subscription. The products are around the same quality as some of the nicer drugstore products I have, if not as nice as things I’d pick up at Sephora. Hooray for products that are cruelty-free AND effective! My only real concern with this box is the universality of the colors. The company’s FAQ page says that they do try to choose colors that work with a lot of skin tones, but I’m not entirely sure whether they succeed in this box or not. What do you think?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of publication, yes! The fall box ships by October 11th with the next billing beginning on December 10 for the winter box.

Value Breakdown: I got approximately $85.00 worth of value in the box, given the retail values I could find and the listed values for products that weren’t online (not counting the bonus item). At $39.95 + free shipping for this box, here’s approximately what you’re paying for each item:

  • Lip crayon – $12.22
  • Concealer – $8.46
  • Brow powder – $7.05
  • Setting powder – $12.22

  1. The packaging of the pore minimizing finishing powder is new to me and I like it! It seems like it would be more hygienic than a compact. I don’t currently sub to this box but I love the idea of a vegan, cruelty free makeup subscription, as I’ve been trying to use skincare and makeup products that aren’t filled with dangerous and toxic chemicals. Most of the products in this review look nice and useful, but the Manna Kadar product makes me cringe. Out of all the MK products that I’ve received in sub boxes, I’ve never found one that is effective or even remotely worth the listed retail value. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good natural skincare/makeup sub box?? Thanks in advance!

  2. I wonder how many subscribers this box has? For the price point I am not wowed by a single thing in this box. I feel like a lot of this has a huge markup, which is why I stopped subscribing to it. Definitely underwhelming.
