October 2018 Dapper Dog Box Review

The October box brings some pumpkin spice vibes to the treats, toys, and bandana!

It comes with an information card that shows some possible items in your box - along with contact information for the company.

Buckles is ready to give you the verdict.

Pumpkin Spice Bandana - Value $12

This month's bandana design features some pumpkin spice latte designs. It's a fun little play for this time of the year - but this bandana was much too large for Buckles!

UPDATE: I did get an response from the box owner on this - they're now made to be folded and fit most dog sizes.

Petlou Pumpkin Toy - value $10

The first of two toys from Petlou is a pretty sizable pumpkin plush toy.

Buckles was most definitely up for the challenge. He tossed it around a bit and play with the squeakers - but kind of lost interest due to the size of the toy. But never fear, this has been gifted to another office pup - Ardy!

Petlou Latte Toy - Value $10

The second toy is of the same design - plush and squeaky.

This one fell into the same boat. He played with it, but it was maybe a bit too big to really have a blast - again, this was gifted.

Le Petit Treat Quiche Lorraine - Value $10

The first of two treat bags come from Le Petit Treat.

As the name suggests, these are a nice, small, treat for your pup. They're slightly hard but really wasn't too difficult for Buckles to tackle.

The Dapper Dog Box Turkey & Pumpkin Treats - Value $10?

Woah - the first exclusive Dapper Dog treats - very cool! These are a small grain-free treat, perfect as a training treat.

Buckles liked the treats and I liked that they are grain-free and small - the perfect combo.

Bobby & Bambi's Artisan Dog Bakery Cookie - Value $5?

The final item in the box is a little grain-free cookie. In total, that's 6 items - that's pretty great value! This cookie was pretty hard, though, so we decided to skip it for our dog who has trouble with harder treats.

Verdict: The Dapper Dog Box continues to roll out great boxes. 6 items is a really good number of items this month - plus they continue to send a bandana each month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Monthly cut-offs are the 20th of each month to get that month's box.

Small dog problems. My Bam Bam likes small toys as well, he only weighs about 10 lbs and if he can’t carry it around or get it up on the bed it’s no fun.

Scrolled quickly to look for the Buckles in Bandana shot; disappointed to read it was too big. Oh well, as long as he got treats…

They should customize to the size of the dog.

HI Kristin,

We do customize for the size of dogs:) Feedback all around from owners with small dogs is that their dogs enjoys larger size toys so we work based off the majority of suggestions:) Also the bandana is easy to fold down and then tie on 🙂 We tested the size on a variety of pups! Thanks so much

I agree. It seems odd to send so many items that may not work due to size when a simple question would fix all that.

Hey Vanessa,
We do ask for a dogs size in the signup process. We do NOT give XS size toys anymore, we used to and we got loads of complaints from owners who felt the toys werent a good value when they were tiny 🙂 Thanks so much!
